- Hey guys!! Today's video is the absolute most requested video on my channel to date - telling my husband Zack that we're finally having a baby!! In case you don't know the backstory, we've been together for 15 years, and of that 15 years, we tried to get pregnant for 5 straight years. I have PCOS and do not ovulate and we did TONS of fertility treatments, and i have never been pregnant. After we stopped trying and accepted our lives as a child-free couple, I noticed my chest was sore the day my cycle was supposed to start, I had an old pregnancy test in the cupboard and thought, what the heck why not - took the test and it was INSTANTLY positive. 40 minutes later, after freaking out and losing my mind (as this has never happened before and we were told WOULD never happen) Zack woke up and I decided to tell him. No big elaborate surprise, just pregnancy tests in the drawer and both of us in absolute shock and disbelief.
Here ya go! We also take you to our first ultrasound for viability to make sure the baby was intra-uterine and when we went to our first midwife appointment and heard the heartbeat for the first time. We also bought a baby-doppler and listened to the baby at home for the first time!!

FYI I 10000000% know that at home-fetal dopplers are not a replacement for medical care. Ever since I spoke about it on IG people have been really adamant about telling me not to use them because they can cause a false sense of security, while I understand that sentiment - please just let me enjoy my pregnancy and let us revel in the excitement that is this miracle baby. I am smart, and do not want to stop doing exciting things for fear of not hearing the heartbeat. I would NEVER replace medical care with an at-home fetal doppler, it is merely just for fun and we have used it very very rarely.
We also haven't had the 20 week ultrasound yet as I am uploading this, I am just over 17 weeks pregnant so hopefully everything is still going well and baby is developing well! The last time we saw the baby was at 8 weeks pregnant, the last time we heard the heartbeat was - today :)

Hey guys, TH-cam demonetized my video after a manual review because I said "shit" in the beginning when looking at the pregnancy test. SO DUMB. I know a couple who tried for over 18 years and finally had their miracle baby in their mid/late 40s
I have to say I struggled getting pregnant. For 5 years I was infertile, we went to a fertility clinic and just couldn’t afford the help. I had given up and accepted I wasn’t going to have kids. I started doing bible study and I just want to say, I was given the gift of pregnancy. It was still in my heart but stopped trying. I had my baby boy 2 years ago. I pray and hope you all who are struggling can stay strong and hopeful and keep your faith ❤

This gives hope. My husband and I have been together for 17 years and he was just told by the doctor that he is sterile. He used to have a form of Lukemia as a young adult, but thank God he beat it. In 2015 he started his weight loss journey and I helped him get from 615 to 265 over time and were never going to give up trying to have our first baby. God knows the timing and we refuse to give up. in the news, when there’s so many mothers who just want a baby to completely adore and give it a wonderful life. it makes me so sad. it’s too sad that fertility isn’t something you could trade with others. so many good people who deserve to be mothers but can’t, meanwhile the ones who don’t deserve it are the most fertile i swear! it’s horrible :(
Chi Fun adoption is absolutely amazing! some people want a child who is biologically theirs and that’s okay too. let’s all mind our own business when it comes to other people’s children.
Chi Fun also it’s EXTREMELY expensive to adopt, not counting the expenses to even take care of and raise a child. the adoption process alone is 15k to file. don’t talk about things you seem to be ignorant on.

Congratulations! I had a very similar journey with trying to get pregnant. I have severe PCOS, but wasn’t diagnosed until I was 28 even though I clear symptoms starting at 18. I did get pregnant a number of times.but they ended with first trimester miscarriages. I went on medication to regulate my hormones and each month the dosage went up and the start and stop days changed. I was taking extremely high doses. We had an incredibly difficult and stressful year with my sister getting pregnant and had a miscarriage days after she found out only to get pregnant with twins a few months later. I was driving 3 hours round trip twice a week while taking Master degree classes I needed to keep my job and then while driving on Main Street and being stopped at a red light I waited to let the driver from the other direction to turn left. She wasn’t paying attention and after waiting for what felt like forever I started moving forward only to have her plow into the front of my car after she slammed her foot on the gas pedal and would later claim that she didn’t see us. Our car was totaled because the impact damaged the frame of the car in a way it couldn’t be fixed. It was one thing after another and because we now had to get a new to us car we couldn’t afford to keep paying for the medication needed to hopefully get pregnant. (This was before insurance really paid for anything related to infertility. 4 months later l knew when I ovulated and when I had probably conceived and yet every pregnancy test including blood tests came back negative. I had been having regular cycles for 3+ years and I was having many pregnancy symptoms including my breasts being incredibly painful and I was having cravings for things I never ate or drank. I was seen by multiple doctors who all ran pregnancy tests that were negative and yet my period didn’t start. Finally after over 3 months a friend told me he could tell I was pregnant and to take a test. I had been to my gynecologist who had prescribed medication to start my cycle so I was conflicted between what my body felt and what everyone was saying. I took my last test and it instantly turned positive. I was in shock. An ultrasound a week later showed that I had been correct on every date and I was nearly 4 months pregnant. At 38 weeks I gave birth to our miracle Rainbow baby girl. My endocrinologist later said that he was worried that I would never be able to get pregnant and stay pregnant until I reached full term and that it really was a miracle that I had with my daughter. We had been trying for 10 years. We would later discover that my severe allergies had played a huge part in my not testing positive and 6 pregnancies that we know of (there could have been more,but my brain has suppressed the memories surrounding them.) ending in miscarriage. After the last one I had had enough and couldn’t put myself through the metal and physical torture again. My students became my other children which helped a lot. My beautiful daughter is now 20 years old and I am so blessed to be her mother.

I have PCOS and was told after trying everything shy of invitro, that I was infertile. After 2 surgeries to remove cancer cells in my cervix, I found out I was pregnant with my 2nd. My girls are 16 years apart. It's a miracle blessing. Congrats!

My husband and I tried for 3 years. I have PCOS and Endometriosis. We got pregnant March of last year. Found out in May because I was used to 3 months in between cycles. We now have a 6 month old baby girl. (Nov. 24 th 20) She is our world. Your journey is proof that years of trying (or not worrying but doing the deed) you will be blessed. I love your channel. It took us 7 years to get pregnant we suffered 8 losses and it was absolutely heart wrenching, I cried so badly watching this it's incredibly beautiful ❤️ congratulations hunny and praying for a sticky bean as my friends said to me 💜🌈
