Because it was a good feeling. I didn’t think he’d make moves as brash as he’s done now but you can never truly consider someone to be gone who owns 81% of shareholder voting power. Whatever their position is as long as they have that they can always push their way back if they want to. It was also hard to ever believe he was leaving for sure considering how much of a workaholic he is. Everybody who’s ever worked with him for an extended time has talked about how his life revolves on his work and how he’d never retire. So he only left because he got forced to do so. I personally figured he’d return but in a quiet way further down the road. I always figure he’d slip into some advisory role and then slowly elevate his involvement once the media died down a bit. But i feel like he went this route because the timing was perfect to do it. The company wasn’t in a position to fight him on it because of the risk it would be to their next media deal a long legal battle and dirt throwing by it’ll both sides would’ve been. If this was next year for example, and the company had a long term media extension already locked down, I think they would’ve fought him on this.
So again I ask, why does Vince want to sell WWE instead of just leaving it to Shane and Stephanie? I mean I thought that's what he was always gonna do so why now the sudden change of heart and saying "Fuck it, Im selling this thing!"
I thought the same thing. I think what he's doing now is just out of spite because he was forced to retire. Depending on how this plays out we are probably going to see the end of the WWE.
Vince Sr did not just give the company to Vince Jr. Junior had to buy out his father and his minority partners Gorilla Monsoon and Arnold Skaaland. From what I remember of the deal if Vince missed one payment then he would lose what he paid up to that point and not get the company. Taking that into account he was never going to just give the company to anybody. Once it became a publicly traded company he was going to cash out.
I’d pay a LOT of money to have Stone Cold in the next Kingdom Hearts. “If you want to see Stone Cold, Sora, Donald, & Goofy kick this Heartless son of a bitch’s ass- give me a hell yeah!”
I hope they don't sell personally, really at the end of the day thats all I care about. Even so, if they do, hopefully it just makes more competition organizations because whoever buys will probably just ruin it more.
Wrestlemania night 2: Roman holding the championships triumphantly. *Cue Theory music Roman looks confused and then No Chance in Hell plays Vince walks out holding Theory's former MITB briefcase Vince hands him the briefcase and Theory cashes in and wins.
I think so too. I think him selling it is his way of him saying I either am in control or I’ll sell it. He didn’t like those returns on his tv every week and saying I fired those sobs!! Why the hell are they back?
If WWE is sold it would be the first time, in wrestling history, that a company was sold while being successful. Every time a company was sold to someone else, things were dire - NWA, WCW, ECW, NJPW, ROH, TNA, etc. They've turned in record profits year after year. Whoever buys it is going to pay a fortune for it.
The more I think about it, the more I get the feeling Amazon may buy the WWE. The streaming platform, sales outlet, & logistics create a perfect synergy between the 2. Peacock/NBC/Universal makes a lot of sense of course, and I can't rule out Fox, but I really wouldn't be surprised to see Amazon make a big run.
It might be nothing there are rumours that the Bellator MMA promotion is on the market. If Paramount is looking to get out of the MMA game they might be looking to get into wrestling.
The buyer will probably be the Saudi crown Prince Mohammed bin Salmon, he is in charge of Saudi Arabia’s public investment fund, RB sports & media and pcp capital partners. This is the group that are in contact with Vince and are the ones that organise the Crown Jewels events, boxing events in Saudi and own the English soccer team Newcastle United and 5 billion dollars is peanuts to them.

24:35 I think he's thinking of Blackwater.
I need Stone Cold vs. Minnie Mouse ASAP lol. With a good ole run-in from Mickey!
And now the main event of Wrestlemania will be Brock vs Roman
For the 105th time
Why do I get the feeling Vince was never leaving to begin with
Because it was a good feeling.
@@Matt-cr4vv that’s Vince for us I’m curious about this legal deal they have deals with fox and Peacock worth billions
Stone cold coming out and stunning Minnie Mouse 😂😂😂
The real winners here are the WWE stock holders : +69% YTD
The rest is history. nothing has changed, nothing will.
For now. Wait until NBC and Fox start getting dragged in the media for doing business with a guy accused of sexual assault.
Yeah! The podcast I have been waiting for ever since this story broke! Popcorn ready!
This is turning into a season of Succession
I'm pretty sure that most of us fans knew that vince was gonna make his way back no matter what
Vince was never gonna just retire and laze about. This is classic Vince.
William Regal: "Where did I leave that AEW phone number?"
Hearing “media rights” as “meteorites” for the first twenty minutes 😢
With the quickness though on the upload, thought I’d be waiting until at least Saturday night for this.
Because he can.
*Cue Theory music
Roman looks confused and then No Chance in Hell plays
Vince walks out holding Theory's former MITB briefcase
Vince hands him the briefcase and Theory cashes in and wins.
That be a great way to drive the price down on Wwe!
He’s not going to sell it. He’s coming back, coming back to do what he did before.
I think so too. I think him selling it is his way of him saying I either am in control or I’ll sell it. He didn’t like those returns on his tv every week and saying I fired those sobs!! Why the hell are they back?
I agree. Vince is swerving them just like the other Vince. Vince is taking back his company J.R. Ewing-style.
I am thinking NBC. Because universal is building a wwe theme park down in Florida.
Thanks guys. Needed Jim and Brian's take on this madness. Thank fuck for Corny's breaking news.
This whole segment is great! Good job, as always, guys. 😂
