  • Hi friends! Welcome back to the channel! In this video, we are sewing along to Simplicity 9326! This dress turned out better than I thought. While sewing it, I felt like fabric was all over the place lol, but once the zipper was in, I was really happy with it! For me the most time consuming part was the ruffle. Once I got that on, the dress was much easier to sew.
I have the fabric link below if anyone is interested. it is 100% Rayon. Drape and flows beautifully and it presses great too!

Thank you for the sew along! When people want to sew a specific pattern but can't afford classes, sew alongs are very important.
Also, sew alongs give courage that people can accomplish the sewing.

Seems like we all have some issue about parts of our body. Mine is my ankles and feet. They swell so much I cannot wear pretty shoes. Therefore, I hardly ever wear a skirt or dress. That is why I always notice your pretty feet and ankles. You have beautiful skin too girl! I always enjoy watching you show off your makes and do your twirls.

Gorgeous summer dress!!! Thank you for the link to the fabric. Your tutorial was (as always) excellent! I'd like to buy some of this fabric soon to eventually make this pattern. Currently losing weight (almost 40 lbs. since Nov. '22), so I want to hold off making clothing that may be difficult to take in later on. God's blessings to you, too! 🥰🙏🏼

Lovely dress, you did a great job!! I always enjoy your tutorials, your voice is calming, you explain throughly and you show the right angles. I can't wait to sew this pattern, thank you!! The only thing I would ask is of you could use a less busy pattern on the fabric or a solid color to make it easier to follow along and see what you are doing.

Using this pattern for my daughter’s formal dress. She is 16 and I want it to be perfect for her. She is so excited that I’m making her a special dress for her special day. Your tutorial helped so much on the turning through the shoulders and the lining over the zipper. I am making a practice dress with muslin, but couldn’t quite work out the directions. Thanks so much!!

Hi Brittany, I love that you are showing us how to do this dress. I would have been totally lost. Can I ask that when you tell us to sew, please tell us at what measurement we should sew from the edge? I need to know precise measurements. Like is it 5/8 of an inch from the edge or is it 1/4 of an inch from the edge?. Sometimes you tell us and sometimes you don't. For instance, you said the basing stitch should be between the dots but I didn't know at what measurement from the edge it should be.

Question: Do I have to add the ruffel if I do not want it.? I am really impressed with your work. You actually matched the pattern of the fabric so that each pattern piece fit the pattern of the material when you sewed them together. Excellent !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
