When I was 25, 4 years ago, I bought my first 911, a ‘79 sc. By no means a show car, but it meant EVERYTHING to me at the time, and it still does. It is my pride and joy. It was a childhood dream come true. I remember one night, I went out into the garage with headphones on, and sat in the car, before I had even gotten it running and listened to all the old trance and electronica tracks from these games. I put this soundtrack on to remind me of how and why I fell in love with things that are so important to me today. Cars, electronic music, and travel. This video game and these tracks EASILY helped mold me into much of who I am today. A car lover on the verge of his 30’s who is traveling the world and listening to great music as he does so. I always have nostalgia when I hear this.
Literally what i want to in the future, just that i dream of a bmw e38 instead of a 911. I never seen another person who loves cars, electronic music (a bit more in the disco-synthwave areas for me) and traveling. Its just must be amazing to leave problems behind and have a climatic drive
Seeing this reply brought be back here. I had forgotten I wrote this comment. To further address the childhood dream, I added a stunning 2000 e39 M5 to the garage last summer. That car was everything to me in NFS High Stakes. 22 years ago, I would have slapped myself if I could tell little me that I’d be cruising down the highway in this car.. Still playing my curated NFS Electronica playlist to bring myself back!!
I loved this comment here, i remember as well how Classic NFS games, Hot Pursuit which was the one i played everyday before going to school and right after school as well, it built my love to electronic music, travel, and cars. I don't drive nothing special as an 911 or Bimmer, or something you drived in those games, but it is my joy-machine.
This was single best video game music of all time.... nothing ever came close to this.... anybody who has played NFS II and III will surely have moist eyes listening to this I bet.... :-)

Time flies so fast, I remember when I was sitting in my cousin's house and playing old NFS and I was happy and now? We live and goddamn fast world where are people chasing after something .. Fortunately there are these tracks, so I can sit and escape from reality
I want to cry, man…Those were the days. I remember begging my brother to input the cheat passwords in the main menu that unlock all cars because I loved racing with the CLK GTR and El Nino (and had no idea how to type since I was 5 lol). Good times…
This song is depressing since alot of people played this when they were young kids, including myself. But something that makes you feel good is to drive a really fast car in 2014 and have this song blasting. It makes the song and the game feel like its reality 16 years later
I like to think of it this way, I loved all of the Need for Speed games prior to the 00's and it's sad that that magical time of super cars is long gone, but NOW, the price of a lot of these cars along with what WOULD be a few Japanese imports, (like a Supra if it was a right-side driver here in the US), have gone down to stupid low prices, so it's like the times have actually come back, but for the better because I have the opportunity to actually OWN some of these cars now for a fraction of what they were new. Lol
Wes Raceman What's the point of owning a fast car in the U.S. or most places? I think driving really fast is fun as long as I didn't cause an accident. Repeal all speed limit laws. A person knows through their own judgment the appropriate speeds and driving conditions. The race tracks and German Autobahn are the only places high speeds are allowed. It's a disgrace how a communist country like Germany has more partial freedoms in what I consider important matters than the U.S. Germany has made prostitution lawful(I'm not a client..I just respect freedom). Then again Texas, USA has the highest speed limit. Anyways the U.S. is the least socialist in the world.

The first game i ever played was NFS High Stakes, it introduced me to the porsche 911 turbo, not as fast as other cars tho, still it was fun to race with it, used to race with it alongside the corvette, i know the corvette is a class A and the 911 a class AA, but it was exciting to see both cars competing each other. I miss the old NFS games. Since then, the 1997 Porsche 911 Turbo was my dream car, and it still is, either white or silver (or maybe yellow).
Fond memories of my grandpa collecting all the NFS series for me, even buying Test Drive 6 as he couldn't find a NFS6. Played NFS3, Porsche Unleashed to no end in his house. Rest In Peace grandpa, you are missed.
The music in NSF III was pure insanity - it just transfers you in another dimension. Brilliant game and a truly import nostalgic moment in my childhood. Along with Aquila 303 and Triton the best tracks in the best racing game ever. Thank you EA for being cool back then.

Lamborghini Diablo SV, where are you?!! Timeless supercar, one of the nicest supercars ever designed. "Drive a Diablo and expect to be the center of attention wherever you go" wise words from NFS 3
I would always go to the showroom to hear the dude tell me about the car's power output and features. This music put the touches on how elegant that shit truly was. Nobody does shit like that anymore.
I used to listen to this song 11 years ago when I was riding my GSXR-600. I miss that motorcycle... I miss that moment, listening to this soundtrack and flying down the street. Wishing my fellow Rom Di Prisco fans blessings tonight :)
In 1998 I was a miserable teen who'd just moved to London, UK. No friends, no life, everything left behind in Canada. I had my new PC (with a Voodoo2 card!) and PC Gamer's demo CD to try and stave off the sadness. I played the NFS3: Hot Pursuit demo for hours, and finally managed to scrounge enough money together to buy it from HMV (the smaller one in the Trocadero). I both loved and hated going down there - loved because it was so cool, hated because I was alone and everything was so expensive I mostly had to browse and dream. The options menu let you choose which tracks would be played for which parts of the game - naturally, this amazing piece became the sole menu music track.
Nothing brings back a feeling of peaceful and optimistic nostalgia for me like this music. Life is still good, but this music brings me back to a better time.
Idk exactly what it is, but this song gives me the feeling of endless wonder and mystery. Like there’s always something out there that we don’t know about. Gives me the feeling of emotion, loneliness, and melancholy of times I was never a part of. It feels like it’s ahead of it’s time, while making me feel like I’m behind, picking up the pieces
Every time i think of my childhood first racing game (NFS III HP) , this song comes to my mind, it was there pretty much every time it loaded into the menu of the game. NFS III is simply the first in my heart because it presented me these amazing and timeless songs (High Stakes also has these) , with some really nice looking cars, like the Italdesign with a customizable blue paintjob, and the beautiful and peaceful variable scenery of every track, like the calm hometown streets or the exotic Aquarium tunnels. Though i played it back like in 2008 when i was 5 years old. The Packard Bell desktop computer of my home had Windows XP installed, accompanied with a big Samsung monitor which had a pressionable square in the right corner (big as 3 of my fingers back then) to turn it on/off. I also had to "borrow" the game's CD from my big brother cd case, because it was faster than ask him for it lol, and the game couldn't run without it. Thanks to Rom Di Prisco and everyone who worked making this masterpiece of game. For me, this is the peak of the NFS era, because you could just feel the dedication and the love that the company at that time, poured into the game. It was worth the "Electronic Arts" title the company had as name, in that moment (i heard it was located in Canada i think, and it was closed consequently. I could be wrong about this). If i had to enumerate my favourites NFS games, the order would be: NFS III HP first, NFS IV High Stakes second and Underground 2 as third.
Goodness me ! This song brings me back to my carefree days in elementary school when I used to play this game. I was born in 2000 so when the game was released I still wasn't living but I firstly played it around 2007 and awakens many memories... Since this track has mostly a gloomy instrumental it reminds me of my dad who passed away a month ago and I can't help bursting into tears.... sadness and wistfulness at the same time hit so hard. ..years do really fly men !
came around back in 2018. tears.. now back in 2019. first time experienced how beautiful car racing can be when i was 6 .. this is a passion people nowadays never understand
this piece always reminds me of the years from my past. I was born in 2000, a time when this kind of music was still being made. There is just something that ties me deeply to electronic music. It always reminds me of these times where i was discovering the world that im living in, getting to know my surroundings. A sacred time for all of us, when we had yet to understand the struggles and the pain of this world. It is for that youthful energy that im still striving. Music like this reminds me of this very thing
oh late 90's and early 2000's how I miss you. Being in kindergarten playing this. Still remember the first PC we ever bought. 1998 IBM Aptiva E96: 333MHZ Pentium II MMX, 128MB ram, 8GB HDD, ATI Rage Pro graphics card, 17inch CRT monitor with a whopping 800x600 resolution, and of course, stereo sound.
I remember dat Rage Pro.. Mine was integrated but fortunately had 8MB of dedicated memory. This game looked outstanding and ran blisteringly fast in 640x480..!
Few Genres can carry a Melody the way Drum n bass does. Man if anybody knows what I’m talking about say Hallelujah, the melody of an old rugged cross, song of heavens throne.
I got possessed by nostalgia yesterday and told myself I wanted to hear nfs 3 in particular.. 2 mins i was blasting the song in the car. Best soundtrack for one of the best games in one of the best era.. Only good memories
This brings back memories (I was 16 when the game was released). In my opinion, the soundtracks from NFS 3 and Crusader - No Regret (or No Remorse) are arguably some of the best game tracks in the history of gaming.
2003-2014 my father bought it as birthday present and played it with me so many years and im still playin' this awsome game but now for my own where the fuck is my childhood this new world with all this hipster shit and next gen. Gaming crap. What the fucking hell happend to this world and how the fuck the time goes so fast man ?! I was just reviewing the highest rated PC games of 2016 (it's currently '17) because I want to build a gaming rig soon, and I gotta say, the lineup left much to be desired.
Just had the biggest flashback to my childhood. Back in those Windows 98 days... I remember that massive monitor I had and this soundtrack was playing when I was picking the El Nino to race down Empire City.... holy shit. I'm getting so many chills down my spine at the moment. Trying hard not to have a mental breakdown.... T_T

Gabriel Lorenzana the best from all Class was f355 spider
Fond memories of my grandpa collecting all the NFS series for me, even buying Test Drive 6 as he couldn't find a NFS6. Played NFS3, Porsche Unleashed to no end in his house. Rest In Peace grandpa, you are missed.
Played this game nonstop as a kid. I think it might be the reason I love synthesizers so much as an adult now.
Absolute masterpiece. One of the best video game soundtracks ever made.
I know Underground has legendary status at this point and I love it, but THIS is the Need for Speed that had the most impact on me.
The music in NSF III was pure insanity - it just transfers you in another dimension. Brilliant game and a truly import nostalgic moment in my childhood. Along with Aquila 303 and Triton the best tracks in the best racing game ever. Thank you EA for being cool back then.
It's normal cry?

deadpool vega absolutely :')
With a masterpiece like this it is normal to cry
YES, very normal.

Lamborghini Diablo SV, where are you?!! Timeless supercar, one of the nicest supercars ever designed. "Drive a Diablo and expect to be the center of attention wherever you go" wise words from NFS 3
The best menu music ever for a racing game but made in 1998 :)
kzbxvz I say you more. One of the best soundtrack in the game industry for the all time.
I remember getting gifted this game by my older sister... I will never forget this game and its amazing soundtrack
The feelings this track brings up…oh man. It’s as close as I’ll ever get to a time machine.
It's 1997 I'm 5 years old again, playing this on one of those 1 ton sony big screens with my dad.
NFS III: Hot Pursuit was released in 1998, starting in March.
@@TheADzioba Need for Speed II came out in 1997 and this exact track exists in it as well.
This song makes me instantly happy, and then I feel like crying at how simple life was!
NFS III was my very first game on the home PC... I have never regretted. The whole sountrack is just amazing.
There are so many childhood memories when I'm listening to this great masterpiece of music, this is the theme for NFS.
If I ever decide to open my own supercar dealership one day. Expect to hear this and other Rom Di Prisco 90s NFS hits playing in the background
one of the most great songs of NFS series. So atmospheric that any word can describe
First in 1998, still listening in August 2024
i can't stop crying... nostalgia
9 years later, back here again to say how awesome Romulus 3 is. I hope this track lives forever. Boy we're getting old so fast.
This is on a completely different planet compared to any racing game soundtrack today. A masterpiece.
One of my favorite games ever. The cars, the race maps, the music. Such great memories.
That's rough man. Rip your dad. Enjoy the memories like all of us share here.
Ahhh, the memories of playing 2 player on single keyboard with younger brother (1999 - 2002), this days will never return 🤝
came around back in 2018. tears.. now back in 2019. first time experienced how beautiful car racing can be when i was 6 .. this is a passion people nowadays never understand
Instant tears.....takes me back to being a 3 year old.
Rom, you and your music is Timeless! Rest easy legend!
Aahhhh good times! :')
OMG...hearing this on 2015 NFS... the memories
+sebazk really??? the same/exact music is in the new game?
yeah. with "legends" free update
+sebazk wow! I can't wait! Still waiting for PC release :(
maaaaannnn the same happened to me...so here am i haha. classic!
the god damn nostalgia...brings up childhood memories
this piece always reminds me of the years from my past.
I was in kindergarten in 98 when this game was releases. Sad times to hear this and have memories brought back in 2014
I was in high school when NFS3 came out. We played it so much on PlayStation that the game stopped working heh.
I had the exact same PC haha
Lol.. intel pentium 3 550mhz onboard 8mb graphics card 15” monitor no CD burner floppy disc drive 3 1/2” A lol
Few Genres can carry a Melody the way Drum n bass does. Man if anybody knows what I’m talking about say Hallelujah, the melody of an old rugged cross, song of heavens throne.
Who is listening to it in 2024?
Yo!!! Jugaba este juego cuando tenía 8 años era mi favorito ❤
2002 when i played this, This music
I'm not
A lot of memories with this songs, :)
not me. i HATE This song.
Столько лет прошло, но я все еще помню....
damn son...where are people who made this? never heard anything like this since its been out back in the 90s.
i get excited for life listening to this
Check latest album Spacetime Miscalculation from Rom Di Prisco.
RIP Saki Kaskas :(
Daaamn this track, the chords, it's so fast and exhilarating but at the same it's almost somber. Like "The NEED" is real. It's Desperate!
I remember playing NFS 2 and hearing this when I was like 5 mesmerized, now I’m about to turn 25 driving a ‘05 M3 reminiscing.
I miss it and the memories will never die.... but the good old childhood gets never back.........we will never play this game like the old days with our friends or familiy
R.I.P NFS III HOT PURSUIT (OLD DAY .....BETTER DAYS)
I was just reviewing the highest rated PC games of 2016 (it's currently '17) because I want to build a gaming rig soon, and I gotta say, the lineup left much to be desired.
When you are browsing into game menus and you are already into the atmosphere of the game ! ❤
20+ years later I've realized I've been listening to dnb since this game came out. No wonder why I love dnb as I got older.
only highlighting can pass years and this wonderful game will always be remembered
he is a genius , rom di prisco!
Man, How this guy made this in 90's? So ahead of his time...
digital audio genius
👍🏽
Instant hit of nostalgia as soon as the song starts.
I have great childhood memories of this game and the OST.
Lol you here (Iplounge discord) :D
@@leruty Hi! :D
This is the sickest song in the Need for Speed Series that I have heard. Love it!!!
Its 2024, and it's been 27 years since i heard this song for the first time, and still i keep hearing it whenever i drive my car for a long riding specialy when its raining and there is trees on the side of the highway roads
We keep this song alive ❤
Great song, nfs 3 is an absolute classic with this soundtrack
Is there anything else that somewhat resembles this song? Excluding other works by Rom Di Prisco.
It seems to me that this is purely unique and there's nothing else like it anywhere.
Timeless MasterPiece.Good old days!Forever NFS 3 HP
Here in 2023 🎉

gotta love how it's 2023, and this music still gives off the most futuristic vibes ever; it's exactly what we imagine music will sound like in the distant future. 😌💓🥇
this gave an incredible atmosphere to need for speed
Aha, I found you random song stuck in my head, finally!
I dont see the smoke.. but you seem to be heading for a fire!
Teary eyes... One day I'll be 60.. 70 years old and this music will still make me cry. Those good days of gaming that will never, ever come back. The world's changed, and it keeps changing so fast. The newer generations will never know what they meant.
Me encanta esta cancion, es algo que no puedo describir cuando la escucho, es como vivir en una fantasia. Que bella musica
I'm privileged have played this game lol.. Damn..
same
For soo long I search for a beat that I loved while playing n4s. I knew it was 97-99 so I searched n4s2 and n4s4 and finally found!!! Romulus OMG the memories!!! Thanks for uploading!!!
Sat as a 5 year old in 2002 playing this game on PC with my Microsoft steering wheel and pedals , in my favourite car the Italdesign Schigera. Oh how time flies. Family members used to remark how well I could drive at the age. This and Test Drive 5 have a lot to answer for me now ...
Racing game of my childhood
2020 and still gets me every time. Classic, this.
I've been searching this soundtrack since childhood.....
Iirc this was the menu music, not the racetrack music. This is LIT!!!!
Legend. This song always in my heart
This track was so far ahead of its time
It's one of the most unique songs I've ever heard in my life. Simply incredible the quality while also unique everything Rom Di Prisco can achieve.
