I was set on buying the pro version however the Google site crashed as everyone buying knows but this gave me time to critically look at the differences and in my opinion the extra £249 was not worth it so I bought the pixel 6 black 128gb
Also would have loved to had the pixel pass that's available in USA in UK
I got the pro because I already have the 4xl so getting the regular 6 wouldn't feel like a big upgrade physically so I got the pro.
The 6 looks better than the 6 Pro from the back. The Robocop visor is placed slightly higher. The matte sides also feels nicer. I prefer the 6. Only thing I feel I'll miss is 4x optical zoom but not worth $300 extra.

The best early look video on the new Pixel phones. When are you allowed to test and publish how they compare?
They screwed up with the curved screen. I don’t see a real advantage of that. It actually takes away from the display. I pre ordered the regular 6. 90 hz is smooth. 120 hz is not necessary in real world usage. I game on a computer not my cell phone. I don’t use my camera enough to care about the telescope. Main camera will still capture beautiful photos.

I play pubg mobile and i can tell you 90hz is enough as well, 120hz is alright but if you want to play smoothly you can just go with 90hz, i still have Huawei Mate 20 Pro and i'll be getting Regular Pixel 6 (i played pubg, not anymore, maybe when i buy it).
Pretty much bang on why I am deciding on the 6. I've changed my mind so much bro.... from the 6, 6 Pro, iPhone 13 Pro, back to the 6 Pro until finally deciding on the 6 again

@@jethalalchampaklalgada2278 defo recommemd the Samsung. It has the higher refresh rate, very nice display, good cameras, lots of good software and updates. Also, you can get it for even cheaper than the pixel.

Ordered the standard 6, upgrading from the 5. The bezels are better than getting horrible reflections on screen when watching a video which you will get on the Pro. After having a OnePlus 7 pro I swore I'd not buy another phone with a curved screen. But each to their own.
For those needing a matching charger, the Amazon Basics 30w PD charger is spot on, been using mine for ages and only around £17. My Spigen case came this morning ready for when the Pixel 6 arrives, gives a good feel for the size compared to the Pixel 5

Can you tell much of a difference in screen quality between the two. Like this one look more vibrant than the other or are the colors pretty much the same?
Im still torn on which one I want. I did reserve the Pro and then cancelled it to reserve the regular 6 with a higher amount of storage. The 6 just seems like the better deal honestly. Most of the stuff is exactly the same minus the telephoto which would honestly be a nice thing to have cause I tend to shoot portraits and animals more then city shots using the uw. But still, the Pro is attractive. But it really seems like the mmw 5G is what is increasing the price so high and T Mobile for me doesn't really even offer mmw where I live so it doesn't make much sense. In the future, sure? But now, not so much.
To be fair, the QHD+ display alone gives the pro a huge edge over the regular 6. Let alone the 120 refresh rate.

Depends on if you like iPhone over android. That's pretty much just a personal preference. But if you want more features the 6 pro offers more than the iPhone 13 pro. The iPhone 13 pro just has a better all around battery, better cameras, a flat display (IMHO is better than curved), and more memory storage. But if you want the best Android phone there is? Then I say wait and see what the Samsung Galaxy S22 ultra offers. Idk when it's gonna come out but I hear it's soon.

Pixel 6 for me. Flat screen. More affordable. 6.4 screen is just right. 90hz refresh rate is good enough. Used to it on my 7T.

According to current information, no. This doesn't mean it won't happen and it seems pixel feature drops will continue to 5 years. Currently Aug 2024 is mentioned for Android version updates - that is only guarantee, not a hard deadline though
