I've had my Google Pixel 6 Pro since March 2022 and I've had some hiccups like heating issues when using camera especially when recording in 4k60 and playing COD Mobile, random reboots, but after the Android 14 Software update my goodness this phone is a BEAST and FLY'S like no other phone I've ever used, and on top of that my geekbench score is way higher than it was when I originally got it on Android 12, a thousand more points then before for both single and multi score. It's AMAZING how good the phone runs now, even recording video is so much better with heat management I can record video in 4k60 with no problems now it's literally like a BRAND NEW PHONE!! Funny thing is I was about to upgrade to the Pixel 8 Pro but after the Android 14 update and how good the Pixel 6 Pro is now I will be keeping it for another year. Thank you Google y'all pulled through this time🙂👍🏼
I went from the Samsung Galaxy S9 to the pixel 6 Pro back in 2021, and I haven't looked back since. I love the pixel 6 Pro, and I will probably have the one that I have until 2026. Here's hoping by 2026 Google has a new phone that I actually like.
@joelconolly5574 if it's more efficient it would certainly mean more performance since mobile chipsets are only hugely held back by thermal limits, no?
How come with selfie photos when you view it, it's dark. Also when shooting video and view it the view is opposite of how video was shot on selfie side
Recently shifted to the 6 pro and i can't be happier! Coming from the s20+ the main issue I had was the battery, and the pixel 6 pro is sufficient enough I absolutely love the cameras and photos it captures. And although I do miss a few things from the Samsung, overall the phone has been the best decision ever. Definitely not switching back to samsung anytime soon due to the heating issues
@@JRei23AZ I consider myself to be a pretty average user, i play clash royale and stuff sometimes and i haven't experienced any heating issues. (The average temperature in my area is around 24 soo that could play a part) In terms of rapid battery drain, i am yet to experience it. However, the phone does lose a little more battery when on mobile data.
Just upgraded from the 6 to the 8, I'm really liking the 8, i mainly notice 120hz vs 90hz but I was absolutely fine on 90hz, and now much brighter the 8's screen is, I like the wider ultrawide too and actually how small it is, my friend got my 6 as an upgrade from a A43 5G (i think), I'll enjoy the 7 years of updates when this eventually gets passed onto my mum. Appreciate you doing this series. I'm coincidentally considering getting an older phone, since I don't really see anything that newer phones do remarkably better, then may as well save a few bucks.
I got it for 290 dollars in mint condition and I can’t complain much. The portrait from the camera could be much better but I never liked how pixels took portraits but everything else apart from that works perfectly. Fingerprint sensor, processor, all good
I loved the Indigo Star Tac. I was using the text messaging feature [or trying to] before text blew up, but it was too unreliable. I'd get responses days later.
I bought the 6 pro the day they came out. It was the first pixel I bought where I was worried that I made the wrong choice (I've had the 1, the 3xl, and the 5). The connectivity issues were so aggravating 😅 but I stuck it out and I still have the same phone I bought day one. Google really stumbled with the launch of the 6 line imo, but definitely saved it with the updates by the skin of their teeth. Where the phone is now is honestly pretty great. It's definitely not my favorite pixel, but I can at least say I'll be continuing to buy the pixel line of phones based off of Google's dedication to supporting their phones.
My phone broke so i got a Google 6 pro. Very solid i like it . I give it a 8.5 out of 10. Because although i like the design of it definitely finger smudges all over the place lol
That sharp depreciation is why I never buy pixels new. I bought my pixel 6 for $350 used only a few months after it came out. I'll be doing the same thing when I upgrade to the pixel 9.
2 hour charge time and dies fast and gets hot. I'm good. But don't want a galaxy that waterproof but some how gets moisture in it and can't charge it. My s23u was my last Samsung.
It's still better than paying 200 for the cheapest Moto at best buy that can't play good games. U can get one as of now for 190 to 220. Cheapest phone that can play big games smoothly
Total disappointment in form of a Pixel 6 pro, now it is lying on bottom of garbage bin in form of pile small fractured pieces. The only moment then I really got pleasure of possessing that phone, was moment of destroying that piece of shit. To assemble such a crap from top notch components it is special talent, I have to say. Sad, it's seems the upcoming pixel 9 will be a bomb, but no more pixels for me!
