  • ► I explain my MilSim Radio Communication Setup for Airsoft. I go through an easy beginner radio setup guide with a Midland G5 and security in-ear headset, an advanced communication setup with the Howard Leight active hearing protection and a speaker mic connected with an AUX cable, and then finally explain my Peltor Comtac III dual comm setup with two Baofeng UV5R+ and two JCI Comms 6 Pin to Kenwood adapters on my plate carrier with foldable blade antennas. Enjoy this Radio or Comms Overview.

    Hallo Phoenix,
    The new Baofeng - UV-9R or UV-82 - you can run 2 channels at the same time. They have two PTT buttons, and the microfone also have two PTT buttons, so you can talk and listen two channels using only one radio and one microfone.

    • @PhoenixFeatherAirsoft
      @PhoenixFeatherAirsoft  4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      You are right! The model I am using also can do 2 channels - but you can only listen to the 2nd one, not directly talk without switching on the device itself.

    • @oldtaktical8913
      @oldtaktical8913 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      With Baufeng UV-82 you can listen and talk on two channels at the same time (5R only can listen on two channels, but not talk on both). And there is a specific speaker/mic for the modelwith 2 PTT buttons: www.aliexpress.com/item/32905324067.html. The radio: es.aliexpress.com/item/32961528047.html. Also two PTT buttons

It is imperative to be in constant communication with ALL MEMBERS of your team in order to execute your objective, and be successful with your mission. A back up plan is covertness with hand signals, and assignments for each team member. 😎😉USN RETIRED, 1ST GULF WAR VETERAN 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸⚓️⚓️👍

    In Canada (and I think the US), you need a license/certificate to transmit with the UV-5R, as you metnioned. But, unlike what you suggested, you cannot legally communicate with FRSs with a non-FRS device. Physically, you can and chances are incredibly low that anyone would report you for it, but just know that that is law here.

I've only done weekend skirmishes but never big 12 hr continuous events. Luckily for me since its not milsim, you can dress casually and use any gun. Of course my slightly beat up cyma ak would be fitting.

    • @PhoenixFeatherAirsoft
      @PhoenixFeatherAirsoft  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The DUal Comms system come with two adapters for two radios. Everything else can get a little complicated. I know that JCI Comms on Instagram has some solutions to run f.e. 2 baofengs with one control unit. But its not so easy. The easiest woulod be to run two security stlye earphones with push to talk on both ears.

    PLEASE do not understate the importance of getting a licence if you're going to use those baofeng radios in your future videos! I appreciate the effort in mentioning how it can interfere, however, It needs to be stated more authoritatively! Serious issues can arise from the unlicensed use and misuse of the baofeng radios, this is very important!

    1) Do you use radios in regular games? Or just milsim?

      Fellow Brit here. From the research I have done, technically you do require a license to operate a radio, but there are no recorded cases of police interaction from the usage of a Baofeng. As long as you don’t interfere with Government comms, you’re all good!
      Hope this helps!

    i have many questions.
    -why would you need ear protection while playing airsoft? it is not real noise making firearm?
    -why would you have a "plate carrier" it will prevent you from felling the HIT of the enemy airsoft balls, how can you know if somebody hit you?
    -also if you use a radio like this, anybody could hear you talk. why not the enemy hear you? they just have to scan the frequency and find the channel where you talk.

    • @PhoenixFeatherAirsoft

      That could totally work on a smaller field. The problem with Discord is that you need a Internet Connection. Usually on fields, as they tend to be kind of remote, you have bad cell reception. Also you would here people shooting etc.
