For those trying to avoid KOs, the 1st giveaway this is a KO is the placement of the accessories in the top right. The official release didn't display them like that.
To be fair,most neca might do this as well.. it doesn't even have to be a knockoff... I have the neca ko TMNT and they seem ok other than smelling like gasoline.
Excuse me? I have like 15 Neca figurines and none of them looks as bad as this, not even close.
The part where the leg snaps off. The rage is hilarious!
FYI my legit NECA 89 Batman’s legs snapped off too so quality is the same as the KO just better paint apps.
Sorry man. That stinks. It’s all about the basic design sometimes it seems.
I was able to fix mine by drilling a hole between the joints and sticking sturdy metal wire between them. I also had to remove excess glue with knife.
@@PoindexterLounge i had Batman Action Figure i was a little boy i only had the one he was in Green Pants forgot name i remember he had green pants his regular Boots shirtless. The only thing is that it's Annoying they make figures Turn they make some removal limbs they should STOP doing that.
I just received my KO Batman and I am surprised how good it is for the price I have no issues with mine joints are fine and great detail for £10. If anybody really thought this Batman was a licensed legitimate release for £10 must be high
I bought the video game variant of this figure at a toys r us just before they closed. It’s very psychedelic with his purple and blue color pallet but I love it.
I do have a legitimate Batman figure. I bought him from toys r us four years ago. The packaging is a card and the cape is to scale with the massive wingspan. There is no gloss whatsoever on the face and the cowel is as smooth looking as the rest of the suit. The belt and shorts are one piece. It cost $25 off the shelf.
I lucked out and was able to get one from toys r us. 🙂

I snapped every single neca figure I own at the knee and I used the leftover pin from a small pop rivet to fix the knees, you can use a small tac nail also just snip the head off, plus it created a swivel at the knee!
Sorry to hear that. Funny that you mentioned the tack because I tried the same thing. I had a really hard time getting the tack into the plastic though. I even tried heating it up but it just didn’t go in right. How did you do it?

Yeah, guilty. I'm one of those guys who likes having knockoffs - my Black Series Darth Maul says that his name is "The New Role" and I adore it for that.
You could drill a hole in each end of where the leg broke and insert a flexible piece of wire and connect it back together. Then you could still bend the leg instead of fixing it in one position with super glue. That's how I "fixed" a neca Christopher reeve superman I bought off ebay a seller sold me that turned out already had a broken leg someone tried to fix by putting a nail in the broken leg joint.
I would cut the legs and modify them for a custom.That's how I gave my custom Jedi master Luke Skywalker double joined elbows.
I have owned 2 NECA & 1 knock-off. The knock-off fell apart in my hand. One NECA broke at the same knee. The other was actually ok, so even NECA is hit or miss.
I once got a bootleg NECA Alien that was sold as legit. Leg fell off before I got it out of the box. On closer insurrection, it had a wicked overbite because the jaw was hinged in the wrong spot, and the real kicker...it had two left arms. Like you, I contacted the seller and got a full refund because he didn't want negative feedback for selling an obvious bootleg, and I ended up breaking Lefty into pieces for Predator trophies. 😆
Dude, I remember paying ALOT OF MONEY on AMAZON one time from a JAPANESE seller for a Play Arts Kai Quiet figure. I mean, I PAID like top dollar for this, at five years ago prices. I actually got a knockoff. I had been seeing knockoff stories and pics of Play Arts Kai knockoffs, for months. Never figured I would actually get one, by paying over $300. You BET your chilibeans I took issue with the seller, and they tried to balk. So I took it up with Amazon, who refunded me themselves, and then took the issue up with the seller themselves. Needless to say, I went to ebay and bought another one from a decent seller, and got the real deal. Paid about the same price and had a dialogue with that particular seller and they were flabbergasted at my experience. Usually Japanese sellers don't do that. Alpha Japan is no longer selling on Amazon.
is there a way to tell if it is a bootleg or does it depend where u get it from ?
My AliExpress KO Batman 1989 NECA figure is fine. I have bent the left knee but it didn't break at all. I think plastic material is bit different because mine is very matt finish.
Actually both of the ko figures I have if this have that matte finish tok.
I have a couple of legit NECA 89 Batman figures from toys r us the spats on the ankles were loose like that and one of mine the knee snapped just like that when it was knocked off the shelf .... And I would never have moved the figure and as many angles as you did cuz the joints always felt tight...

Wow. I would be really upset. Two figures and they're both pretty much broken. I actually bought a Jedi Luke Black Series knock off. But I never received it. Sent an email never got a response. About two weeks later I called the contact number and the person who answered spoke no English. I think the company has actually tried calling me back. I wasn't able to answer but I have three voicemails that are in an Asian language. Lesson learned.
I bought a used one off Ebay in really good condition with all accessories too. Anyhow the right side of his head has whst looks like a lump sticking out. 🤦♂️🤷♂️ Idk if it's a KO or not!!!
By the way batman on the picture is the one 1/4 scale Batman not this one that is way he has leather there !!!
Not sure what you’re saying. Its the same figure all throughout the video and the pics are literally just screen shots from when I was doing the review.
If you buy from eBay, notice that the knockoffs normally come from China. If the seller is in China, chances are it’s a knockoff. If it’s below 20 bucks, it’s a knockoff. Spend some time looking to see what the original release item looks like before you buy a cheap version of it. If it looks different that the original, it’s probably a knock off.

If you buy a knockoff buy 2 or 3 ... knockoffs are usually cheap anyways... just buy 2 or 3...he's mainly for show.
My batman 1989 bootleg it is good mine is not broken
I have an original, and my batarang is textured on both sides. Sturdy rubbery plastic similar to the Star Wars Black Series. The cowl is thicker and tighter, but it can be worked off for the maskless eye makeup and no hair look, but it has potential if you wanted to do a custom Keaton head. The only part I was disappointed with was the cape, which tore a bit at the neck but can be tucked under the cowl. The sculpt is fantastic, belt is part of the rubber groin piece, and it just has a smoother texture all over that looks more like the movie suit. It catches the light more like rubber than plastic. The articulation is rather stiff, especially at the hips and shoulders, but it's sturdy. I also have the silly hole fist and no hole fist, but they attach solidly. He also lacks bicep rotation. It looks like they used the same or very similar molds, just cheaper materials. Bat symbol is crisp and perfect. What I do to repair broken limb is to drill a hole in both pieces and insert a bit of clothes hangar wire, it only fixes rotation but it's more solid than glue by a long shot. The hole fist holds the gun, the open hand is for the batarang. I did have to shave off a sliver of the gun handle to make it fit properly.
just buy the original 89 batman video game version then repaint it black

That is exactly what I did, I actually also got a custom cape too. I must admit the remake legs are a bit dodgy compared to the original. The 89 feels more solid. It takes warm water to dismantle the 89 figure, whereas the knock off can be gently pried apart with no effort.
Just say NO to knockoff's!

Where are you seeing “neck up?”everything says Neca in and on the video. Toys do go up in value. It’s just about how much you’re willing to pay.

I have this figure. It's scoliosis batman. So wonky. The mask is way too big on mine. The head on mine is way too tanned with purple lips.
I wish I had the one you had. It's a huge improvement on the garbage figure a seller sent me.
Don't feel bad iv bought the real NECA 89 Batman and Christopher Reeve Superman and after few days the legs broke and they were the real NECA don't worry the real NECA sucks they will break also not just the knockoffs . But I've reused the Christopher Reeve Superman head for my custom and my 89 Batman for custom check out my videos on my channel.
I don't think I have any knockoffs...I do have comic TMNT knockoffs that are not half bad, I do wonder if I have any other knockoffs... I might have a knockoff 89 bats like you or maybe a Chris Reeve Superman , I usually buy 2 or 3 just to be safe...most people know even the original had problems with the leg break off.

My ko it's doing pretty well, but in your case if you brake the leg on purpose like it can be seen in your video, trying to make your point about Ko's...even thou you received another one for free...well try then stop buying KO even thou they can break easily if you put some kind of extremely pressure on it! 🤦🏻♂️what else can you expect for $20 my friend?!? Stop whining about ko and buy the real stuff then!!

Did you even see the end of the video where I show the second one my wife bought that is still sealed that broke in the package? Just stop that dude. I’m glad yours is still fine. I literally glued it back and it’s still displayed. As a collector and lover of toys I would NEVER EVER BEAKE A TOY ON PURPOSE. IVE GOT A KO DARTH MAIL THAG IS ABSOLUTELY FINE. So I kept the heads and I did Custom
