Weird. I clicked on this from my phone to see what your talking about and you are right, it's not there. If I hover over it with the scrubber bar though, it shows up. It also shows up on warching from my computer. That's pretty dang annoying to find out. TH-cam is horrible these days. Maybe a weird frame rate issue with phones.

I honestly love watching IG. I know some people look at his channel as no more than an AVGN knock-off, but I think it's more so a channel that takes its on spin on the AVGN style and ideas. I can never get enough of this channel. Great video, too! Love it :)
There've been far worse AVGN clones, then and now. While Irate isn't without some serious issues, he's far from the worst of that lot, and can be enjoyed.

IG kind of does his own spin on the AVGN format, while there are just down right copycats of other channels, like copycats of AVGN, Nostalgia Nerd, Scott the Woz, etc. Out of all of them, I'd say that IG is probably the moist original with the concept of gaming reviews (he did start making videos around the same time as AVGN, to be fair)

I always loved the NES ending, it's hilarious to watch Batman give a pre-mortem one liner, and just flat out THROW Joker to his death.
Then again, I always had a theory that Keaton's Batman dropped Joker into the acid on PURPOSE, so maybe that was the original movie ending after all.

This was BTW one of the first NES games I got to play as a kid, so was the GB version!
I love the way you keep these videos short and action-packed. The production value is insanely great, especially in that intro. Plus you film from multiple angles and have lots of green screen scenes.
This is nothing short of brilliant and it's cool to see how you're the same guy I first discovered back in 2009 - for better and worse. Keep it up, I'm subscribed and will keep watching :)

Before any AVGN fans say Irate Gamer is copying AVGN again, let me just point out that the AVGN has copied off the Irate Gamer multiple times, notably, Irate Gamer reviewed ET, Yo Noid!, Cool Spot, Kid Icarus, and R.O.B. well before AVGN got to them, of course, AVGN didn’t review Yo Noid! or Cool Spot, but he would have if Pepsiman hadn’t turned them into copies of Pepsiman.
I don't think anyone cares anymore. Chris is not as frequent as he used to be, James has had some scandals to make him "no longer pure," and everyone is in agreement that TH-cam as a platform is not just a heel but an actual villain and should be the focus of everyone's eire.
Plus, they have done cross overs so it's quite clear that they have some mutual respect for each other

The earlier cutscenes were based on the comic book batman at that time. But the game had to be focused on movie Batman. That's probably why they deleted all the cutscenes that did not fit.
That's what I was thinking. Maybe they didn't think they could use the actor likenesses so they started the game without them?

100% Agree. This was one of my favorite NES games growing up. Played it a ton as a kid still go back and play now from time to time.

Most Sunsoft games in the 80's through early 90's were all pretty great and a ton of underrated gems in their library :)

Great episode! The bat signals at the beginning and at the end are invisible, but it's not a big deal! Strangely enough, if you scroll with your mouse cursor along the video's timeline, you can clearly see both bat signals.

Great episode, the 1989 "Batman" movie is definitely a childhood favorite of mine, and this game was the shit! There's no denying the game is hard as hell replaying it as an adult. Yeah I learned about the prototype, while some of the cutscenes could've stayed in the game (the Vicky Vale scene in particular), I'm glad they changed it to fighting The Joker and going with the movie's ending.
Dam bro. This intro is even BETTER than the originals. And that's saying something.

Holy shit! I had no idea about the prototype for this game being dumped. It looks freakin' awesome and I really wish they would have combined the scenes from the prototype with the retail release. Thanks for bringing this to my attention Chris! I had no idea this even existed and I adore this game. Great video!

This is the best licensed movie licensed game on the NES! Good thing that LJN nor THQ make this Batman game! Sunsoft got the license for Batman on NES!

new episode and intro, indeed a great part of Batman's (Sunsoft) Difficulty is knowing when to use your gadgets and when to rely on your Bat-fists. Batman doesnt have endless Batarangs at his disposal, in fact he's always been one to conserve his gadgets for when they're needed most.
