I've found that wrapping all my skinny pens and pencils with rubberbands really helps with the grip. I'm even considering buying a pack of assorted small and tiny bands for braided hairstyles; mobility and dexterity issues are not fun. Thanks for the video Emily! I like the Maybelline perfector as a bronzer. Like you said, it's so lightweight. I was initially taken aback by it going on like a copper shimmer, but when I blend it in, it does lightly bronze my face. I thought I had wasted my money, but no. It works.

My super hero secret weapon makeup product is the Laura Geller highlight in French vanilla. I have used it every day for years to highlight my brow bone and inner Corner because it is so brightening with its satin finish yet subtle in the sense that it doesn’t have shimmer or glitter - yet somehow it makes a huge impact and make me look so awake. I also love using it to highlight down the bridge of my nose to help give my nose a more slim effect. I can’t be without it .

Love the ND palettes. The Maybelline 4 in one is so underrated. I have used it in place of foundation, it just covers the redness on my cheeks and with concealer, it creates a light makeup look on busy days. Can't go wrong with the Maybelline Lip Vinyl. I wore it at my son's wedding and it lasted for hours.
I would love to see a video on your common fixes for make up mishaps. Stray mascara. Smudged lips. Eyeshadow that ends up in the wrong place. Can you advise what to do?
I loved your talk of eye shadow staying power. I have trouble with that and I haven't noticed if any brand does better then another. Eyeshadow stays on for hours but some of the colors seem to bleed into each other or they gather in the crease by around the 8th hour. I think I great video idea would be testing different eyeshadow brands on staying power. I know it would be a lot of work but I trust your opinion and the way you really test products. And maybe you can start with the Emily palette since I have that one and adore it.

I’m thinking about getting some of their neutral nine pan palettes, like California Coast, Coffee Talk or Summer Days, when they have their big Christmas in July sale.

Hi Em! Have you tried the new Pacifica Dreamlit Glow concealer? They come in a glass container and are so hydrating. Their color range is the least to be desired but I got both of the lightest shades and mix. Highly recommend those 💕
Hi Emily I like my ND palette, but my favourite eyeshadows are from Viseart. At 51 I have textured/hooded lids and the Viseart shadows always look smooth and last all day. Brands like ND, PM and Huda have a lot of textured shadows and a fair bit of glitter at times, which looks fab on young smooth skin however not so great on older skin tbh. Those textured shadows look even more textured and emphasise any crepiness etc, but glitter fallout is somewhat inevitable by the end of the day (even with glitter glue) and not a good look on me. Viseart doesn't tend to do "special" shades and you get consistently great mattes, satins and shimmers - which looks better on my lids tbh. Were I in my twenties I would probably enjoy those "special" shades more, but as someone with super dry skin and texture due to aging not so much. Best wishes.
My favorite product you used is the Essence highlighter. It has been my favorite highlighter for several years. I pick this any time I need perfection. Laura Geller runs a close second but for the money I just can’t beat the Essence. Funny you talked about Logan’s. A couple of weeks ago our kids and grands were coming after church and we just didn’t want to cook. We order the family feast from Cracker Barrel. It was delicious and somehow so much better than eating there. I think we will be making it a habit.
Yesss that is an amazing palette. I’m no expert at creating intricate eye looks but I can easily create a really glam look with it. The eyeshadow stays looking 100% fresh for like 11hrs. That’s my experience with the majority of Natasha Denona palettes. The Safari and her midsize 5pan palettes being the exceptions. The Patrick Ta Major Dimension I and last years Charlotte Tilbury holiday (Smokey eyes forever) palettes both apply easily and hold up excellently.

I wanted to make a book series recommendation for Eve. It is called Warriors and all of the characters are cats. There are a ton of books in the series and they would be appropriate for Bubba too. Check them out! We got ours at Barnes and Noble.
My daughter is in college now but she loved that series. She liked the Seekers series as well. When your girls get a little older they might like Wings of Fire too. It's about dragons.
I agree! I’m 25 now, but I absolutely loved the Warriors series when I was younger! In fact, it helped increase my reading level back then (especially good for a second-language English speaker)! There are some more violent notions (cats attacking each other in the wild), however, I do think it enlightens children to survival in nature and what wild animals have to go through!

Hey Em! ❤ if you get a chance, you should try the One Size setting spray. The staying power is AH-MAZING! And it does have the hairspray-like spray to it, which I love, some people would rather have the spritz spray. But try it if you haven't I promise, even if you don't like the hairspray part, you'll love the staying power!
Well I got that porcelain fit me that you recommended for under eye and didn't think I'd like it but the light shade is great fir brightening under eyes--and LOT less than that makeup forever. Thank you very much;)

This is a question, needing some advice. I have just went through my second mini frig. I love keeping my serums cold. I know it not a have to but it just is my pleasure for me. What is the best one that you would recommend. I do keep my eye mask in them for when I get migraines and don't have to go to the kitchen.this is my second one and it just stopped. I got a free sample of the NARS light reflecting pressed powder and fell in love with it. I don’t know if you have ever reviewed it. (I try to watch all of your videos) but, as someone within your age group and my problem area is my under eyes (I have hereditary dark circles AND some crepiness setting in so I can’t use anything hardly without looking wrinkly but I need it bec of dark circles). I feel that powder sets just enough without highlighting the wrinkles or fine lines it’s so perfect. I use the translucent color and have already ordered a full size.
I have the persona identity 2 and those shadows fade so much throughout the day! Same with my lorac pro fairytale forest. I think Nomad shadows have really good lasting power, as well as my ND mini biba.
Try the smashbox setting spray. I think it keeps my makeup together just as well if not better than all nighter PLUS it melts my makeup together sooooo much better than All Nighter
I find ND shadows long-wearing too, even with my very oily skin, and the super hot weather. The shimmers don't look intact at the end of the day because my eyes are hooded, so the friction just displaces them. Having said that, I think I have shimmers that look almost intact by the end of the day, I need to re-test them and write back, but the ones coming to mind are in the Blend Bunny All Done Up Palette, in my BH Cosmetics palettes, and maybe even Essence..🤔
I’m going to have try the 4and1. I have the Elf Halo Gliw but I do feel like it’s a bit heavy as a primer step. I’ve been adding it to my sunscreen to make a tinted sunscreen! I wonder if the Essence powder foundation would work similar to that powder? I’ve seen people say they like it for setting the under eye.
I have a VIDEO IDEA - This morning I was putting on my lipstick and tried a few things that looked nice. Then right before work, I put on Maybelline Lip Vinyl in Cheeky. I thought "Why did I waste time with anything else? It just always is perfect." How about a face full of products that always look great and are easy to fall back on? Products that when you don't use them, you regret the fact that you strayed even for a day. Products you could get in a rut with, and be happy for it! For me, I love Maybelline Full and Soft Mascara, Lip Vinyl Cheeky, the new L'Oreal blendable foundation. For high end, I love Benefit Cookie, Nars Illuminating foundation, and Merit Blush in Beverly Hills. I think ELF Camo Powder Foundation with a very small dense brush is a crazy good concealer (use it every day!) and I have recently bought several Physician Formula Butter Concealers so I can have them in my purse, vanity and at work. (Teacher)
Another brand whose shadows last really well (and I've worn some bold, blue toned purple looks with this brand) is Juvia's Place. This is definitely a brand you should look into. Everything I've tried from them, so far, has been lovely.

Was surprised at how the Essence Nude highlighter looked om my skin tone, natural glow. Yesterday I used Natasha Denona's Gold eye shadow palette and my eye look was still perfect at the end of the day, quality eye shadows!
Have you tried the new loreal Foundation with hyaluronic acid. Super blendable one? Reformulation from the original. I loved the tinted serum one, except for the strong alchohol smell! If i dont prime well underneath it can make my skin bright red and hot! So I'm interested to try the new one without alcohol in it. X
My best staying power powder shadows with Milani primer are urban decay, Mario the mattes and Anastasia. Those all work really well for me. Also. Love seeing the girls and kitties pop in. So fun.

I agree with all of your products. I feel like Nars soft matte foundation also wears forever on the skin without fading and the rare beauty liquid blushes as well.
Pretty! Maybelline does make a flat sided liquid liner called Hyper Easy, but I don't think they have a brow version. I love the eyeliner pen, though! It's not square... more like a hexagon (six-sided). Very easy to manipulate.
Can I ask how old you think your Biba Pallet might be? I have one Natasha Pallet, so I’m just wondering. Everything else I have is Alter Ego, Moira, Nabla, Colourpop, and so on. I just started wearing makeup last winter after going without for about 4 years? I also just turned 66. One of your older followers. And I’m brand new to skin care. Weather here has been very back and forth. I live in Michigan, The Mitten State. Today it was in the upper 70s. We've also had days in the 40s, 60s, even low 80s. All over the place. Today was overcast but no rain expected until Friday.
❤ I use the morphe pallets and they have no problem staying all day and night with the same look and pigment of the eye pallets that are highly expensive end like the morphe, I also use elf eye shadows and I never have any doubt that they will fade away because I ALWAYS use the milani eye primer that I gratefully started when you were using it and u said it was just a must have staple for the staying power and I love you for recommending it to us ❤️ thank you so much for your help with this and I will never stop using it!! I will always have backups and I have a suggestion for you as well 😊 I would like to see you use a morphe pallet for the eyes and any other type of morphe products that you have an interest in. I loved the L'Oreal eye pencils octagon shaped and easy to hang onto. I do lunch prep and order extera things to change it up. Pulled pork is a favorite with homemade Caribbean coleslaw. ❤

Hey Em! ❤ if you get a chance, you should try the One Size setting spray. The staying power is AH-MAZING! And it does have the hairspray-like spray to it, which I love, some people would rather have the spritz spray. But try it if you haven't I promise, even if you don't like the hairspray part, you'll love the staying power!

Well I got that porcelain fit me that you recommended for under eye and didn't think I'd like it but the light shade is great fir brightening under eyes--and LOT less than that makeup forever. Thank you very much;)

This is a question, needing some advice. I have just went through my second mini frig. I love keeping my serums cold. I know it not a have to but it just is my pleasure for me. What is the best one that you would recommend. I do keep my eye mask in them for when I get migraines and don't have to go to the kitchen.this is my second one and it just stopped. I got a free sample of the NARS light reflecting pressed powder and fell in love with it. I don’t know if you have ever reviewed it. (I try to watch all of your videos) but, as someone within your age group and my problem area is my under eyes (I have hereditary dark circles AND some crepiness setting in so I can’t use anything hardly without looking wrinkly but I need it bec of dark circles). I feel that powder sets just enough without highlighting the wrinkles or fine lines it’s so perfect. I use the translucent color and have already ordered a full size.
I have the persona identity 2 and those shadows fade so much throughout the day! Same with my lorac pro fairytale forest. I think Nomad shadows have really good lasting power, as well as my ND mini biba.
Try the smashbox setting spray. I think it keeps my makeup together just as well if not better than all nighter PLUS it melts my makeup together sooooo much better than All Nighter
Do you recommend an eyebrow pencil for someone who’s never done their eyebrows?
I find ND shadows long-wearing too, even with my very oily skin, and the super hot weather. The shimmers don't look intact at the end of the day because my eyes are hooded, so the friction just displaces them. Having said that, I think I have shimmers that look almost intact by the end of the day, I need to re-test them and write back, but the ones coming to mind are in the Blend Bunny All Done Up Palette, in my BH Cosmetics palettes, and maybe even Essence..🤔

I’m going to have try the 4and1. I have the Elf Halo Gliw but I do feel like it’s a bit heavy as a primer step. I’ve been adding it to my sunscreen to make a tinted sunscreen!
I wonder if the Essence powder foundation would work similar to that powder? I’ve seen people say they like it for setting the under eye.

I have a VIDEO IDEA - This morning I was putting on my lipstick and tried a few things that looked nice. Then right before work, I put on Maybelline Lip Vinyl in Cheeky. I thought "Why did I waste time with anything else? It just always is perfect." How about a face full of products that always look great and are easy to fall back on? Products that when you don't use them, you regret the fact that you strayed even for a day. Products you could get in a rut with, and be happy for it! For me, I love Maybelline Full and Soft Mascara, Lip Vinyl Cheeky, the new L'Oreal blendable foundation. For high end, I love Benefit Cookie, Nars Illuminating foundation, and Merit Blush in Beverly Hills. I think ELF Camo Powder Foundation with a very small dense brush is a crazy good concealer (use it every day!) and I have recently bought several Physician Formula Butter Concealers so I can have them in my purse, vanity and at work. (Teacher)
Another brand whose shadows last really well (and I've worn some bold, blue toned purple looks with this brand) is Juvia's Place. This is definitely a brand you should look into. Everything I've tried from them, so far, has been lovely.

Was surprised at how the Essence Nude highlighter looked om my skin tone, natural glow. Yesterday I used Natasha Denona's Gold eye shadow palette and my eye look was still perfect at the end of the day, quality eye shadows!

Have you tried the new loreal Foundation with hyaluronic acid. Super blendable one? Reformulation from the original.
I loved the tinted serum one, except for the strong alchohol smell!
If i dont prime well underneath it can make my skin bright red and hot!

My best staying power powder shadows with Milani primer are urban decay, Mario the mattes and Anastasia. Those all work really well for me. Also. Love seeing the girls and kitties pop in. So fun.

Pretty! Maybelline does make a flat sided liquid liner called Hyper Easy, but I don't think they have a brow version. I love the eyeliner pen, though! It's not square... more like a hexagon (six-sided). Very easy to manipulate.
Do you wash your triangle puffs ? Or just keep buying new ones ? I tried to wash mine and it split open, ok it was cheap from amazon
Can I ask how old you think your Biba Pallet might be? I have one Natasha Pallet, so I’m just wondering. Everything else I have is Alter Ego, Moira, Nabla, Colourpop, and so on. I just started wearing makeup last winter after going without for about 4 years? I also just turned 66. One of your older followers. And I’m brand new to skin care. Hadn’t even heard of it before last winter 😮
Weather here has been very back and forth. I live in Michigan, The Mitten State. Today it was in the upper 70s. We've also had days in the 40s, 60s, even low 80s. All over the place. Today was overcast but no rain expected until Friday.

❤ I use the morphe pallets and they have no problem staying all day and night with the same look and pigment of the eye pallets that are highly expensive end like the morphe, I also use elf eye shadows and I never have any doubt that they will fade away because I ALWAYS use the milani eye primer that I gratefully started when you were using it and u said it was just a must have staple for the staying power and I love you for recommending it to us ❤️ thank you so much for your help with this and I will never stop using it!! I will always have backups and I have a suggestion for you as well 😊 I would like to see you use a morphe pallet for the eyes and any other type of morphe products that you have an interest in. I loved the L'Oreal eye pencils octagon shaped and easy to hang onto. I do lunch prep and order extera things to change it up. Pulled pork is a favorite with homemade Caribbean coleslaw. ❤

I’ve seen that black eyeshadow in the Biba palette fall out in several other TH-camrs videos too! Definitely not your fault, has to be something to do with the pressing of that shade
