🎄Merry Christmas!🎄 There are two reasons why vegans comprise a fraction of one percent of the population: The main reason is due to humans’ failure to care about what they put into their own bodies - as long as it tastes good, who gives a damn about the consequences to one’s own health or the ethical concerns regarding other creatures or the environment? The other reason is due to vegan advocates and animal rights activists being inept in their understanding of morality as well as their abysmal grasp of human physiology. Almost every single vegan activist I know of wrongly believes that we are omnivores, and they are clueless in respect to metaethics and applied ethics. But that is not the most unfortunate thing about the matter. The saddest thing is that there is hardly a single vegan activist even willing to spend an hour or so to learn proper diet and meta-ethics with the World Teacher Himself, Jagadguru Svāmī Vegānanda, despite him freely offering to do so on his social media platforms. 😩
MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ED!! VIVA VEGANIA!! AND VIVA BIVALVIA WHILE WE'RE AT IT!! AND MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL OF ED'S SUBSCRIBERS, TOO!! 🎄🎅🎁🎄🎅🎁🎄🎅

5:05 amazing. Ed that was absolutely stunning, conversing on a whole different league, not only are the ideas grabbing attention without creating anger with persice language, tone and facial expression, but you touched on such a sensitive topic as child abuse, and made yourself so clear that strawmanning you wasn't an option. Very well said
It's great because no matter how the conversation ends carnists end up making an ass of themselves in a public space which is 100% a win for us every single damn time. Keep up the good work Ed
The most mind-blowing statement was that gas chambers are compassionate and humane. That should upset some folks that might disagree (even if it is turkeys instead of humans, it still sounds insane)
I think Ed brought up a good point that we have to change the morals of what used to be because Henry the 8th was a horrendous man who didn't mind killing anyone so thank God we evolved from that. Traditions are not always a good thing. Sometimes change needs to happen because obviously history keeps repeating itself in the most horrendous ways.
Yep, Henry VIII was morbidly obese and a glutton, who also chopped the heads off his wives. So let's use him as a example of a 'tradition' to follow into the 21st century 😑🙄 You hit the nail on the head, change (and learning) from history is the only way to not repeat it.

Earthling Ed for the win. Have some compassion and learn about the plight against animals and their endless, massive exploitation for our taste pleasure, convenience and enjoyment. Most of us weren’t born vegan but it is possible to awaken and change and actually align with our values. How sad these hosts and many others think Christmas means roasting an animal. Christmas is so much more than what we stick in our pie hole.
I don't think those people on that show are going to wake up and care about the Animals plight anytime soon sadly... Keep on fighting the good fight for the Animals Rights 🙏
They aren't killed for taste pleasure- what an unintelligent surface level comment. We are designed to eat meat. I went vegan and vegetarian multiple times in my attempt to master the diet and yet i couldn't . I worked in a vegetarian restaurant for several years and so countless coworkers health decline as well as regular customers. Vegans are assholes in today's world and they will realise this as time goes by. Oh well, we are all learning but realise your self-righteousness and dogmatic religiosity regarding veganism will soon affect you negatively.
Like most people, I grew up as a non-vegan. Now it’s been almost 16 years as a vegan, but I definitely remember Christmas dinners as an omnivore. Where I come from, it’s not meat-based, but rather fish-based. I can safely say I never enjoyed those dinners. As a vegan, now every year I make garlic and herbs Christmas bread, have a vegan cheese platter (brie, camembert, charcoal smoked cheese and black truffle one - they cost a lot but it’s Christmas!), vol-au-vents filled with different home-made mousses, and a beautiful tofu-based roast (the recipe says “turkey style” but I never had turkey so I’m not sure, I just know it tastes great) with lots of roasted veggies dressed in aromatic herby oil. The dessert always varies as I love to come up with creative things. It’s all home-made, tastes delicious, and it’s cruelty-free. Every year I look forward to Christmas for this, and I would never swap my current dinner with any of the ones I had in my non-vegan days! So I don’t get all the mockery about this. They always say they respect this and that but then as soon as the word “vegan” comes in the laughs and jokes abound. Plain rude and condescending, imo. “Haha! My dinner is better than yours. And you know why? Cause it’s MeAt”. Wow. Merry Christmas everyone!
This was the best one yet. I feel they’re running out of excuses to throw at you and you’re getting through. It’s not an exaggeration to say that you’re making a huge difference in this world Ed. Thank you
Excellent work as always Ed, the 2 hosts and the farmer looked like floundering fools next to you. I can only hope some of the GB News audience could see the writing on the wall, but we live and dream...
I can't remember what it's like to have this cognitive dissonance, and so a failing on my part is to empathise with the meat-eating mindset. But to go on national television and suggest that gassing turkeys is compassionate has me at a loss. I mean... Really? He actually said that?
Nailed it!! Absolutely banged to rights with no answer. Great interview abd such an impact with the audience- the culmination of common sense arguments will tip the balance, 👍
Maybe they will all be so lucky as to get one of those poor turkey's Joey Carbstrong just investigated and exposed of in his most recent video 😉 Well done Ed as always your doing a Awesome job helping the most vulnerable innocent sentient 😔💔
That smirking and laughing when presented with an uncomfortable truth is the guilt they are trying to hide. It's also a response akin to a psychopath who has no remorse for his/her victims. You were spot on with every point Ed, as usual. Thanks for being a voice for the voiceless.
Omg Ed your comeback just because we bring them into existence does not mean we have the right to hunt them. SO CLEVER!! Amazing!!! Thank you for all you do. You are a true hero
Another brilliant showing in an adversarial situation - the host SHOULD feel awkward talking about eating a murdered animal in front of someone who easily shows the problem with doing so, and Ed's demeanor in this situation made that comment (and its impact on viewers) possible. Bravo.
Great work Ed. I wish laws were passed that forced farmers to CCTV their practices and make all images available in the public domain. Let the public see how animals are treated and processed and let the public decide if Red Tractor and all the major Super Market chains really do care about the treatment and welfare of animals.
Those hosts were just awful. Making a joke about it and being very careful to keep it as a food issue. This was an intended piece of gaslighting by the programme. Yuk !

yes that is exactly what needs to be said to Matt Dillahunthy when he repeats his tired oneliner: 'I think veganism is a moral virtue but not a moral obligation' Please replace the word 'veganism' in your oneliner with 'not miostreating and killing animal for unnecessary pleasure' and say it out loud Matt...
Dear Ed you’re just brilliant. Thank you for your voice for the animals. ❤
I don't know how you do it Ed, but thank you. ❤🙏 Happy Vegan Christmas to you too.
It is absolutely amazing how Ed can stand the laughter and the absurdity, conducting himself impeccably ❤
Non vegan Xmas so much more tastier
After 29 years as a vegan I look forward to. Christmas lunch with lots of veg, a vegan wine and luscious vegan desert. I am 79 and fit and healthy because I take care what I put into my body. Thanks Ed for a very well put and sensible debate.
Lol I bet this person is only 45 years of age, it probably just seems like they’ve be living a long time 😂
@@tom4412 Actually I am 80 in 2024 - I have two children in their 50s both committed vegans, one a professional musician, the other is CEO of a national animal charity living in Africa.
@@paulhiley1409 good for you all 👍
@paulhiley1409
That means you went vegan around the age of 50. I’m on my 3rd month and turned 50 a month ago. I’m hoping for the same at 79! ❤
First full year as a vegan thanks to you. Merry Christmas, Ed ❤️
Another day in the frustrating office for Ed... I think meat advocates are getting more and more speechless and stunned by the lack of a rise from people like Ed who reel off facts and ethical solids... they end up embarrassing themselves, and this is the kind of interview that only helps the fight against speciesism and challenges social imprints. Good work Ed for consistently remaining so calm and stoic, and for also being a wealth of facts and statistics!
Thank you Ed for being a voice for the animals

Ed you are a legend. Your team and whoever helps you through these complex issues is astounding
You're wonderful Ed, thank you for opening people's hearts, little by little. Unfortunately some people just don't care about animals, but some people do, and they slowly change for the better. Just had a fully vegan Xmas Even dinner, and my non-vegan family loved everything I cooked. :- )
Love and joy to everyone.
Merry Christmas Ed 🎄 Thanks for speaking for the voiceless animals. 🌱

And?
I think Ed brought up a good point that we have to change the morals of what used to be because Henry the 8th was a horrendous man who didn't mind killing anyone so thank God we evolved from that. Traditions are not always a good thing. Sometimes change needs to happen because obviously history keeps repeating itself in the most horrendous ways.
Biology isn't a tradition. Can you dig it?
Exactly! Using Henry VIII as an example, they need a history lesson.
Yep, Henry VIII was morbidly obese and a glutton, who also chopped the heads off his wives. So let's use him as a example of a 'tradition' to follow into the 21st century 😑🙄 You hit the nail on the head, change (and learning) from history is the only way to not repeat it.
Had Mushroom Wellington tonight. So Good! ! ! Vegan 10yrs-ish thanks to you, Dr. Greger, Rich Roll, and a list of others that would take hours to acknowledge. Ed Winters. Thank you for putting the truth out there, A shame it falls of deaf ears, the willing ignorant and industry swayed. Happy Vegan Christmas to you and your loved ones!

Great Work Ed, as always!
Hope you have a happy rest of your christmas holidays.

I saw it on GB News. Well done, Ed! I commented but, as usual, my comment isn't shown. They don't like comments from vegans. I've noticed that on other channels too. I wonder why?

Damn that went so well! ❤🎉 Very happy with how this discussion went 👌❤️✌️
My mama & I made tamales Veracruzanos into vegan tamales, made them out of oyster mushrooms with red sauce & they turned out so so yummy! Everyone in my family enjoyed them! 💚✨🎁🎄

Over here in America, I am currently prepping a tofu-based recipe for Christmas dinner (Merry me Tofu) and am so excited to eat it and share with all of my family (who are meat eaters, sadly)!!! They all actually always look forward to what fun vegan dishes I make! 😊
Thank you sooo much for the work you are doing Ed!! It truly is making a difference!!
Ed, as always, thank you for being a beacon of hope and an example of respectful and incredibly intelligent debate. You are doing the world a great service and you will be remembered in the history books. Your contribution to how human dietary changes were made will never be forgotten. Keep up the great work.
From across the pond, it’s interesting to see how the click bait media is just as biased over there as it is here. At least 25% of those on this debate (you) were respectful and showed sincerity and dignity.

Always great to see the hosts go from barely containing their laughter at the idea of veganism to looking horrendously uncomfortable at the idea that their 'food' was gasping and thrashing around in a gas chamber before it found its way to their table. Great work, Ed, and have a good xmas!
Urgh, I can't bring myself to watch GB news, even for such a worthy cause. Such crap 😂 well done Ed, fighting the good fight

Bahahahah baseless assumptions vegan, I wish I was a bit younger though after the whiskey session last night I feel everyday of my 46 years
Thank you, Earthling Ed! One day humans will look back on this time of mass slaughter of animals and see just how cruel it was. Meanwhile, I don't see any omnivores taking their dogs and cats to the "compassionate" slaughterhouses to put their animals down when the animals are old or infirmed. They know that such places are actually horror houses and just don't want to admit it.
Ed destroyed the carnists with facts and logic. Again.

@@English_Rose4 ha yeah I don’t think so either. You as well 👊❤️

@@rondarkman. I love that you dedicate your time to comment on vegan channels. Thank you for helping boost vegan content.
Merry Christmas and love to all VEGANS who live compassionately.
Thank you
God bless you Ed. Thank you for your continued advocation for, and compassion towards animals.
Like Ed, I also had a mushroom Wellington for my festive lunch. Didn’t miss the turkey at all.
Farmer: "I respect the choice of everyone", and what about the choice of the animals not to be killed?
Excellent work as always Ed, the 2 hosts and the farmer looked like floundering fools next to you. I can only hope some of the GB News audience could see the writing on the wall, but we live and dream...
Ed, you're a beast, mate! Have a lovely Christmas and New Year's, and thank you so much for everything you do for the animals! ❤❤❤

Well done Ed!👌 I don't know how you manage to keep your composure but you do and always with grace, intelligence and panache! BRAVO!👏👏👏
I can't remember what it's like to have this cognitive dissonance, and so a failing on my part is to empathise with the meat-eating mindset. But to go on national television and suggest that gassing turkeys is compassionate has me at a loss. I mean... Really? He actually said that?
I mean compassionate relatively speaking, although that's pretty bullshit as well as gassing is often horrifying and painful
Ed thank you thank you and thank you. This is passionate and so well put. The hosts laugh because they feel uneasy of their own lack of ethics.
Happy Christmas Ed🎄look forward to reading your new book❤️
I had a wonderful tofu roast with caramelized carrots on Xmas Eve and a mushroom wellington on Xmas Day. There were no animals harmed on my account!

That smirking and laughing when presented with an uncomfortable truth is the guilt they are trying to hide. It's also a response akin to a psychopath who has no remorse for his/her victims. You were spot on with every point Ed, as usual. Thanks for being a voice for the voiceless.

"So gas chambers are compassionate, would you like to say that out loud please." ...how to nail a point. 👌
