I just want to apologise for the road noise guys, this was filmed September 3rd which was so hot at the time that I actually opened the windows.. will not do that again! Good news is that all future episodes are brand new! So no road noise 😂😅 I really enjoy this whisky, to be honest I was very surprised although it is rather youthful but with a bit more time in the barrel, I think this could be a distillery to keep an eye out for! 👀
@@WhiskyWars Oh, it's still 500ml here, but it costs what 700ml bottles usually do when having better quality. I'm going to wait a while to see what happens.
I just ordered tasting sample set £20 from them. This is so popular Distillery recently, young but with good quality distilate and very promising. Enthusiasts praise them all around and their cask finished single cask expressions have really good reviews at Dramface and sell fast.So its perfect time to try some of their stuff and your review is helpful at the right time. P.S. Little Brown Dog released now Glasgow 1770, 7yo Oloroso, 55.7% for around £50 and it is very tempting but need to be quick because selling fast. Cheers 😁🥂🥂🥂🙋♂️
Oh I bet that’s a good one! Unfortunately I’m all spent but I’ll definitely pick up a couple more from them next year, cheers! Enjoy that tasting set and do come back and let me know your favourite!
@@WhiskyWarsHello again Ash, im back with very good news!! While watching your 15 whiskies to recommend just decided to open my Glasgow 1770 tasting sample set and try it. Do you want to know my impression? What a whiskies?!! Its Phenomenal. All of them. 5 samples 5 winners. Triple Distilled: what a fantastic easy sipper, classic lowlander with extra funk. Fruity floral creamy robust oily very moreish dram, alcohol very well integrated despite his young age. Original CS even better, smooth intense creamy, fsntastic. Cognac and Marsala both with lovely sweetness and lingering gently peat are both delicious in same way being bit different. Yummy drams. Abv close to 60% is not offensive and dont need water at all. But King of the Night is lazt one in a box: Peated CS batch 2 matured in vergin oak and finished in PX casks is simply amazing. This Hifhland Peat at 50PPM its phenomenal. 60.7% but can drink like 43% just WoW. I have no doubts: Its my Whisky of the year of 2024. After try this sample i instantly ordered full bottle because its Only 1000 releases and selling fast. To be honest Glasgow 1770 is better than hyped Ardna in my opinion amd deserves for: Best New Distillery for sure. Slàinte 😁🥂🥂🥂🙋♂️
Certainly one of the better Lowland options out there. Damn dude it's freezing here and seeing you in shorts and talking about how hot it is is really confusing right now 😂
Hahaha it’s 2 months old… guilty! 😄 I have been delaying my Neckpour videos to try to time them with a more in depth review shortly after to show if and how it’s changed or whisky war. Picked up a couple other lowlands this Black Friday so hopefully I can record something soon!
Thank you Ash. Ive been looking at this for some time now, but I think it's a bit steep, and comes in a 500ml bottle. We have three diffrent expressions with the same price. I will pass this for now, and hope for a travel some day 😊
Ah yes true! I think they changed them to 700ml earlier this year but maybe they haven’t reached Sweden yet? I’m super excited about this distillery but I agree with you, I wouldn’t recommend paying a lot for it due to its youthful character at times
Received a bottle of the Peated Rich & Smokey yesterday after having seen a few good reviews on the distillery and taking advantage of Black Friday week on Amazon. I was impressed, it's Highland peat at 50 ppm but it doesn't hit like an Ardbeg or Laphroaig, really nice.
Honestly preferred Batch strength Original to the regular one. As far Peated is concerned I chased Batch Strength Peated for a long time and it turned out that difference was negligible to me. I would suggest to try different finishes they are offering - Manzanilla was stunning. According to recent discussion with Sebastian brand ambassador - age statements are not likely for foreseeable future.
Oh interesting, thanks for the update on that! I see they do a similar one that’s triple distilled, I’d like to see if that one improves this one I have but the peated does like tasty but good to know that I don’t have to pick up the cask strength. Cheers!
That’s fair, I’d agree and say it’s probably a bit youthful to justify that price tag but definitely a distillery to keep your eye on if any ever pop up on sale!

@PezrulezHaakon probably a good idea! 👍 I believe they kept the price the same when upgrading to 700ml too

Thank you for sharing your opinion, I must admit. It does like a really tasty bottling. I’ll definitely look to pick one up in the near future!

$70 in the Chicago area. I will pass on it at that price.
