Good whiskey. I loved Arran barrel reserve too. That one is young but I like it's freshness and fruitiness. Great bottle design

I wholeheartedly agree. I definitely prefer the 10, but there's something very moreish about the barrel reserve. Less complex but not in a bad way. Perfect for a midweek chill after a heavy day at work.

Love Arran. Got started with the Bodega a couple of years back and now I'm also looking to tryout the 10yo. Loved the Bodega, it's a sherry bomb.

I bet that one was nice 👌 I have the port one and enjoyed it but to be honest, I think I prefer this 10 to my port one 🙂 I don’t know if you’ll prefer it but I do think you’ll enjoy the 10!

Another excellent review Ash. I always get pencil shavings on the nose with this too. If you don't get it at first, smell the glass an hr after you've emptied it, then you will find it every time after. Sounds a bit weird but I love it 🤣 on the palate and in the finish I find pineapple chunks, or more accurately, the aftertaste of them if that makes sense? sadly I finished off my bottle a few days ago after watching a different malt mate review, but fear not, I have one on order (2 really but that sounds greedy). So far in my whisky journey, this is easily the one I revisit most. One of the whiskys I vividly remember the first time I tasted it. I am currently trying to talk myself out of buying the 18 Yr old, but I can't see me winning the debate 🤣 another comment mentioned the barrel reserve, and they were 100% right. Younger, but brighter too. Definitely worth a visit, aswell as the quarter cask.....and the bodega.....and the sauternes....just get em all m8, you won't regret it 🤣🤣

Hahaha I would love to! 😂 the Sauternes really interests me I have to say but I think I will go for the barrel reserve (I’m stingey 😂)
I was thinking the exact same thing about the 18, out of my bracket but in the future as a once in a while whisky I think I would, I keep imagining how that could taste!
Yeah I can’t see you winning that debate either haha. Pencil shavings is a way better way of putting it, I’m going to steal that term from now on. I think I usually say white wood or sawdust etc. pineapple chunks for sure especially with a bit of that syrup you get in with them if you buy them in a tub. Beautiful beautiful whisky and such a good price! Cheers Nick!

Hi Ralfy, i like your Whisky for the year of 2025. But wait its not Ralfy 🤔. Oh yes its Ash 🤭 but anyway i still like your Arran. You cant judge this one on neck pour. My bottle years ago was good and better every next dram but last 2/3 drams were real nectar. I will buy another bottle but dont know when, so many gems waiting in a queue. Slàite 😁🥂🥂🥂🙋‍♂️

Haha hey I can’t complain about being confused with Ralfy! 😂 did this win his whisky of the year?
It was top 3 on my budget whisky of the year (this was recorded last month) I really do like it 🙂 haha I say that all the time too! The struggle of being into whisky!

Cant complain at all. Anyway its miles better than Auchentoshan. (Did you see Auchentoshan 12yo review at Dramface???) 🤔🤭😅

I agree with the tropical pineapple note, with a touch of spice on the finish and perhaps a hint of bitterness from the cask. Very nice dram.
Prefer the Glencadam 10 though. Don’t fight it Ash! 😀😉

Just order one for the first time, I hope it's good. I am lagavulin 16 and bourbon guy . Can't stand lowland thin profile whisky.
