I'm gonna cover a bit less meta heavy builds and try out and experiment some more off-meta loadouts.
Games will still often times still be played aggressively but I'm checking out of trying to go for PB kills. It gets to a point where it's no longer about skill and is more about lucky rng runs full of hunters and pouncers but no bile titans which is subsequently boring to watch. I'm pretty sure you guys don't wanna see me running around the extraction point like a d*ckhead slowly grinding down bugs 😂

P.s.2: if you wanna get 2,000 kills for w.e reason here's some tips;
Play a planet that's clear.
Play bug hatch missions
Ideally a liberation campaign where there's no modifiers
Pouncer planet
Clear eggs quick, rush to extraction point to pump up patrol rate, then kill bugs and hope for the perfect no bile titans rng.
Bam, 2k+ kills. Good luck!

I personally, and I feel a lot of others, like a bit of both. Skillful plays and challenges, and new off-meta builds or strats. As long as the concept of the video is unique to you like your own kill records or your build ideas, or at least your own take on existing build ideas and stuff like that. Both of which you do a great job of.
I think telling everyone that if someone beats you that is down to him having more luck is not very sportsmanlike.

I also liked that you mentioned spiked. He’s been doing a lot of co-op lately but he has some solo stealth dives from a month or two ago that are very very nice.

It hasn't felt very friendly to me, TBH. I don't mind some of Dough's videos but he loses me when he gets into weird pissing contests with other creators. There's room for everyone and this game already has way too much drama.

I wish the game counted heavy unit kills separately. So you can see how many chargers / titans (or for bots tanks / factory striders) you cleared :)
IT feels fun watching the best of the best pushing for kill records for pure adrenaline (and a bit of peer pressure). But yeah, as you said, its so much RNG and the game's oriented more towards objective completion and never reward for kills, even punishing you when you stall extraction. Yet it's so fun to watch these kinds of while i shut off my brain.
The Cadet loadout: starter armor set, liberator, pistol, machine gun, precision air strike. Clear main and side objectives. Let’s gooooo!!

I honestly have no fucking idea how this guy is able to complete ANY bug missions on lvl9 solo. I run basically similar loadouts as him. When I'm solo on 9, as soon as I start attacking an objective filled with bugs, I get a nearby bug patrol to come in and double the amount of shit I need to kill. Then I get a bug breach. Then I have to kill those bugs + a titan (sometimes even TWO titans). While I'm kiting the bugs, I end up encountering ANOTHER bug patrol. After all of that killing is finally finished, I get back to the objective, where ANOTHER bug patrol has come back already, and they call in another breach... and this cycle repeats over and over and over and over, and I literally don't have enough time to do objectives. There's a fucking infinite amount of bug patrols constantly spawning in as soon as I take each one out. It's like Takibo's version of the game has LESS bugs in it. And bile spewers are literally impossible to fight in a solo mission, they're unbelievably tanky, they have comically high respawn rates, their ranged spit attack is a fucking 1-hit-kill if you're not sprinting max speed at a perfect 90 degree angle from them, and if the spit barely tickles you, you get the slow debuff and are now vulnerable to yet another spit, or flattened by a charger, or jumped by hunters. It's the most toxic enemy in the entire game when solo. I've gotten to the point where I'm good enough to survive solo and kill off the hordes of bugs that come my way, but I literally have no time to do any objectives. Oh and if a map has stalkers then it's a guaranteed L.
I feel like something fun, that will also test your skills more, is to try and go for a high winstreak with a single helldiver, or in other words complete as many missions as possible (preferably full clearing the map) without dying. Also great video takibo keep it up my man!
Just a reminder that firing the flamethrower and diving backwards 99% triggers setting yourself on fire. I think the hitbox of your foot hits the flamethrower thingy :D so be prepared to dive again / stim.
Pls post the game where you use EAT and eventually died!! It’s always interesting to see when really good players get overwhelmed because of extra difficult rng

The bile titan that wasn't spitting had it's 'forward belly'(chest?) blown out which is actually where the spit comes from. The 'rear belly' I think is basically like the chargers back end. Kept for congruent aetethics. The back belly can also be blown off like the chargers (with a lot of fire power).

Jar 5 seems like its actually good against bugs.. Maybe because I'm bad. Love to see how you find it vs bugs. maybe with the single shot pistol as sidearm for the potato bugs and stuff. Be curious what you would pair it with besides the flamethrower.

Honestly I enjoy the kill hunting games. Even if it’s not trying to break a record, I like watching a good player just mess shit up, it’s super satisfying
At some point, you should do a fun tier list. Just rank the guns and stratagems by how much you enjoy using them. A lot of folks get wrapped up in the balance and effectiveness of stuff, but I'd love to see your take on the lesser used stuff without it being specifically about how effective those options are.

10:46 - Looking back at it, and it looks like the Hunter to your right got you with an insane hitbox spread. He wasn't even close enough to melee you, but I'm now convinced their attacks are just massive in size. As to why it one shot you; I had to go back frame-by-frame, but it looks like the Warrior in front of the re-supply attacked you right after as well, which is what 'caused you to die.
insane thought, you could have more killing power if you dont bring the shield pack, and if you count on RNG you could find a flamethrower somewhere already on the map, thats min maxxing's older brother, max maxxing
I like this build, it started with 500kg bomb, napalm, quasar and azor. I ended with same build thats in video and im struggling to destroy shrieker nests and spore spewers with only 500kg bomb. Is 500kg bomb able to oneshot shrieker nest or not?
Edit: same build only stratagems and breaker inc are same.
Warriors kill me so fast sometimes that it makes me love the game even more. Bile Spewers are my weakness as well.
I've been having great fun with this loadout, maybe you want to try it out?
Airburst RL (pretty good after all the fixes, very reliable);
500kg + OPS, your heavy killer;
Orbital Gas/Orbital Airburst (any works, both are very good to throw on breaches);
Light Fortified armor to protect yourself from your Airburst RL oopsies, stun grenades (you want to have those chargers in place to hit them with 500kg/OPS), GL Pistol (Redeemer works better if you don't want to close nests I guess), a shotgun of your choice (Inc Breaker before it gets nerfed?)

at the time we had the kill counter in blitz you could see that a Bile Titan kill actually counts +15. You could still argue what spawn is better but it is not like a titan is only worth 1.
For off meta i'd love to see you do a laser only run with like: Scythe, dagger, laser cannon, laser rover, and orbital laser XD

I wish the flamethrower had a bit of hit stun or slow effect. Just enough to keep things like hunters, spewers, and brood commanders off your face instead just walking up to you through the torrent of fire and giving you the ol' W. Smith.

They should make it like bigger enemies gives more kill count, like a bile titan counts for 20 kills, a charger for like 10 and so on, so even if you get more bile titans the kill count can go up
It would be nice if the stats showed by enemy type instead of total.
Even if it was just "heavy medium small" categories.
Great content my guy keep up the good videos! Lately I have been wondering what would be a good combo for automatons if you want to run the railgun and the shield generator pack. I had a dream last night where I was playing this, but I dropped with the wrong load out. I had my flame thrower, but I forgot to bring my laser guard dog. Not sure if I could call this a weird dream or nightmare.

Thats wild... if you didn't get so many bile titans you could've gotten the 2k. 1910 plus that many bile titans... GGs
If hunters spawn in groups of 14 and each bile titan causes that group to not spawn then youre only losing 13 kills unless you dont kill the bile titan. So for 10 bile titans you missed out on 130 kills. Not 140. Either way if you had gotten them it would've still been over 2k. That was pretty awesome to witness tbh

500kg seems to have a smaller blast/shrapnel range than a 380mm shell landing
I regularly see whole patrols of the small scavengers just walk out of a 500kg explosion like it was nothing. Makes no sense.
832 is my personal best kill count. I wasn’t even trying to max it out either.
I think it doesn’t kill when it lands on bile titans because they have the breakable armor plating on their back which has its own hp

What's the bot record ?
450 hours in game. Over repeated trial and error, your best bet to get 2000 kills is play on 8. Way less heavies which cause more smaller guys to spawn. I hit 2000 kills 3 times in the last 2 weeks. Sickle, laser cannon laser pistol rover 500kg, orbital rail nothing comes close to crowd control. And playing with more people youll get more bugs (i dont care what patch notes or youtubers say im going off 450 hours of trial and error) more players more bugs, hold aggro while your team speed runs the main mission. Once completed the bug spawn rate also increases. The sooner you do the main mission the more time you have to stay and kill.
Last night we did a run every player had and average of 700 kill 😂😂😂we cleared the map and at the extraction the bugs just never stop coming!!

1) - the solution for dealing with supercolonies is to train a special detachment of takibo type Helldivers to sweep through massive numbers of bugs
2) would be really great feature if helmet HUD could display killcounter live
3) have you seen the landscape? You're not just fighting bugs, that is teraforming at the same time :D
Did arrowhead already fix the increased diffculty for less than 4 players?
At around 27-28 minutes you were explaining about the flamethrower and a commenter saying your flamethrower does more damage than theirs, you forgot to account for the ship module that literally gives you a huge percentage buff to overall damage done with the flamethrower
500kg explodes upwards that’s why it works better if it’s below

He's actually done that. Only used gear/stratagems that could be unlocked within 2-3 hours if gameplay. Was last month as I recall.
