As you were designating the text file to supply the “Now Playing” data, were you picking the now playing from the RDJ root.....or the RDJ Template Now Play?
Its located in the root but you can output the now playing text file anywhere on the hard drive. You can even use a different name if you so desire. Just point to it RDJ and point to it in your encoder.
The template file can also be anywhere on the system as long as you point to it in RDJ and as long as it contains $autotitle$ in it.

It really depends on how the mixer uses its USB connection. Some mixers send what's coming in to the mixer from USB right back out the mixer to it's USB outputs. This will cause internal feedback.
My app doesn't show the much-needed filter tab. How do you enable that filter option?
If you are referring to the search section it could be the setting for the Search under plugins.

Actually yes, go to the wrench at the bottom right, then click on Options and select the Stream Titles tab. You will see a File Type Titles section and from there you can change how each file type in RadioDJ will be sent as metadata.
