He said the most profound thing I have heard regarding AI competing with humanity. It was that people who are not afraid to fail cannot be replaced by AI. This resonated with me on so many levels because it has always been my advice for achieving success. However when it comes to AI, it will never do anything that could result in failure. And yet many of my best ideas were accidental or mistakes or even incorrectly hearing other people. Failure could be the missing component of AI programming that never allows successful creativity and exploration.

In the original version of the script for the movie "The Matrix," the people in the pods were not being harnessed for electrical power to keep the AI machines running...they were being harnessed for their creativity. It was the only thing that AI couldn't make themselves. But the Wachowski brothers changed this key plot line because it didn't sound as plausible. Little did they know that 25 years later their original premise would be the correct one.

It's refreshing to here someone finally say "authenticity is overrated" Because no is interested in your bad day. It took me a year to accept that it's a performance. It's all a performance.

While I agree that whining and sympathy-seeking is selfish, if we get caught up for performing for the worlds approval, we enter into a system of unjust scales where we will never be able to live up to the expectations of man. Inevitably, we lose our identity in the process. Authenticity honors those we are called to serve and points them to truth, vs filtered.

This is the only time that I’ve seen Seth on a podcast / show, which was basically, for the most part, where the host is utilizing the concept of an interview, as a means to get clarity /consultation / coaching from one of the best marketing experts in the world. It was great that he was willing to go along with that, because EVEN that, was instructional for the viewer and the listener. And… along the way, there were moments where it was a traditional interview. He was very gracious, very generous, very concise and thoughtful with the words he chose, and the advice he gave. I enjoyed this tremendously. I’m going to share this with the people that I think this will resonate with, and impact their life in a positive way.

I was ready to fight over his coment about authenticity- but he made a valid point about the need for consistency. I think authenticity has levels to it. There must be a balance, though, and ultimately the goal is to be relateable but in the most uplifting way. Of course people don't want to be discouraged. People are also tired of the same trends constantly regurgitated in different fonts. Bring fresh, new ideas to the scene. Don't be afraid of your own personality! That's what authenticity is to me.

This interview gave me hope and vision in a world of blurred lines and an attitude of "meh". Seth has a wonderful way of wording his responses in a way that is clear and direct in removing any doubt as to the intent of the meanings. Too many people are hating on my life's work and not offering more productive and clear insight into what can be done to support and actualize my goals. This fuels me in ways that will sustain and propel me! Thank you for taking time to share this with us.

Personally, I strongly believe in being ethical in all endeavours, and it resonates with me when you asked the question: should we create content to go viral or to help people?
In my opinion, the latter is where true success lies. Helping others will always be the foundation of a meaningful legacy, and I admire that this seems to be a principle you both stand by. Always give back, because of your influence, make a difference with just one person. I have started a youtube channel in July2024. This is such a gorgeous conversation and thank you Erika for opening up so vulnerably as a creator. I would argue that yes, one can want more impact but seeing that you have 2,1 million people which is many stadiums full of people, here. Can that be the pure focus and that the attention is put on the best quality? As a consumer of content, I am finding that the accounts I keep referring to people are the ones where the quality is unbelievable and where I also see the person grow, which I and hopefully everyone does over time. Just to say that you have SOOO many people you are already impacting, just please never lose sight over quality and depth

The reason I watched this video is Seth’s yellow glasses. That’s how I knew within seconds who he was. That’s his personal brand. Now I will sub to Erika and see if I like more of her interviews.

This was such an amazing conversation to listen to and felt so good to hear from Seth, he seems to have all the right answers 🙏 Especially in a time of all the social media racing around trying to get attention and win the algorithm (as a small business owner). Thank you for reminding me the essence of things about true marketing and shining some light for a better future on my creative journey ❤️

Dude this made me justify all my instincts about everything. Best calibration ever. I'm in coffee. Calibration to mindsets is like calibration to coffee scores. We need to agree on what an 85 tastes like so we can send a container of it across the ocean and not deliver an 83. Now I use that same sort of color wheel to make to THE BEST lyrics. Calibrated to anything to that matters to the song I'm writing. Really listen to this man. Its a profound outlook. Mostly.

Thoroughly loving this episode and well done @erika on your achievements. My takeaway on the idea of high vitality from short form content is that its a first step in the attraction marketing funnel & strategy. And i agree on your sealed funnel idea - i would however do both and look to balance them out
