We’ve had our Massimo 500 from Tractor Supply for over 8 years. My biggest complaint is finding someone to work on them. I’ve contacted a number of businesses listed on their website for here in east Texas. Many of these places have been closed for years. Others haven’t serviced Massimo for years and a few have even said they have never been a Massimo service center. 🤷🏻‍♂️ My other complaint is the low beam headlights are so dim. Others have mentioned this too.

I have had my Massimo for 6 years now and haven’t had all the issues he is talking about. The only thing I’ll agree with is getting it into low gear. You can remedy that by adjusting the linkage. This is a great machine!

First thing I did when I bought mine was take the doors off and removed the seat bar. I've never had a problem changing oil/filter. Simple filter pliers and it's off. Bought mine on black friday 2016, floors, body, etc are fine. No holes or cracking. I use mine daily, EVERY day, tending cattle, hauling feed, pulling trailers and other general tasks on the ranch in south Texas. It doesn't get babied.

The floor broke whe a big stick kicked up. It happens. My Dad unfortunately didn't keep an eye on oil levels between oil changes.

Thanks for the honest review. I'm in the market for a small UTV. I'm considering the Honda Pioneer 420 and the Massimo Buck 450. The Massimo looks like a better deal, especially with the included winch, windshield, and hard top cover. A lot of reviews seem like commercials, but your review seems honest, and I really appreciate that.

A couple of ideas for fixes. These utvs are super reliable as they are the exact almost to a T replica of the yamaha rhino 450. A few things are different such as power steering and a bigger boar, but they are almost identical. All parts were sold from yamaha to them cheap in 2017 as a big package deal. 1st fix for the shifting, to fix you should adjust the linkage. It will help to put it in low. 2nd the oil, it’s not hard at all to take it apart to get too, all you do it take both seats off and slip the center console out. Not a single bolt to unhook or anything, the seats can be tricky getting them off with the level but nothing hard like mentioned.3rd I’d love to say the floor is cheap but it’s actually the same as on the base model Polaris and can ams. I would recommend some skid plates for it. Overall the issues as said aren’t really anything big at all. Most people look for reliability and I’ll tell you these are the least problematic machines out there. Thanks.

You can take that bar by the seat off. I did right after I bought mine.

Comment is everything you're saying about that dang thing that you got from tractor supply is a Yamaha rhino clone the engine in it they bumped it up from a 450 to 500 which get a little bit more not much but everything you see that that thing you got your dad's got is a Yamaha rhino clone look back in your stuff in age and you'll find out

Many of these negative things are more like user error things….
    Lube your door latch.
Watch where you put your fingers
You can remove those side bars.
You need to adjust your shifter linkage before you break it.
The power steering is electric… your fuse probably popped.
    Bungees do dry rot….
The oil changes ARE NOT that hard typically… thats some user error stuff IMO…. Look up a how to…
The seats and console come out with no tools.
The rear end DOES in fact tear everything up…. Just a straight line through your yard, you’ll see where you went… can infact get an electronic locking rear end tho… worth every penny.
Plastic floor is weird too… the place to put your foot isnt protected… i would have expected a skid plate directly behind the wheels….

I put an exhaust silencer on mine and it really helped with the loudness.
