I dont know if any of these are deal breakers for me, for 12K compared to the "name brand" machines of comparable size that costs 30k plus.... i can tighten up a few loose bolts.
For what these things cost there should be no issues! Customer service seems to be a huge problem with all off road buggies from China .I'm thinking about buying the BMS 1000cc 4x4 buggy, but I can't find any feedback from owners or much info at all really. And I can't afford a $30,000 CanAm
Great Video review. I watched it several times. I think I see two cotter pins missing that hold the hinge for the dump bed missing at about 8:15 time in your video . I just bought a 2023 Chinese made Hisun Bad Boy Bandit 750 very similar to your Massimo that I have gone over all fasteners since I saw your videos. I did not find ANY problems amazingly. My machine was finalized before I bought it by a small local Bad Boy Mower dealership that must have taken pride in what they sell. Mine is same type of machine you commonly see sitting in front of Rural KIng or Tractor supply that they brand as Sector 550/750 but is basically same as all these Hisun manufactured machines from Texas with Chinese parts.
I have a 2017 Massimo 500. Thing came nicely equipped. No problems till about a year ago. Timing chain jumped off. Major repair I did myself. Ordered new parts online and also replaced oil pump gear and chain and timing chain slides. Getting the timing marks on the flywheel synced with cam timing marks was a pain. Anyway got it back together and it started smoking. Now in the last three weeks it has problem starting. Has fuel and fire but won't crank. I'm going to sell as is and cut my losses. Good luck to you.
@@DirtbagOutdoors I will have to look but hasn't been run hard or put in mud. I don't think these are very durable motors. The machine came very well equipped. Seems like it becomes a constant issue with motor problems.
Your videos are very informative...especially the oil change service..it helped me find the dang dipstick...I've had my tboss 550 almost 3months...use it on hunting land we have...some of the same issues loose nuts and bolts.. both door latches ,welds broke...repaired myself...but in general love the machine...keep doing videos..thanks
Sounds JUST like the Jinma tractor that we bought in 2005 (under a private label Ag Boss). Runs like a tractor when it runs right, but when you need parts (especially now that no one sells these anymore that I know of in the USA) GOOD LUCK!!!! Even Northern Tool stopped selling theses tractors & dozers, but if you know how to fix stuff and make things work, maybe a Massimo is for you? With the internet's buying options now, I might shop for a good used brand name atv OR tractor.
Hisun sector 750… i have had a great experience so far… one nut on the rear fender flare, not sure it fell out, or just wasnt there… other than that, nothing loose or falling off… runs great… ive made some small adjustments to the bed box, like the rubber stoppers adjusted… i bent on the door latches to make them tighter… dont shut as easy, but no rattling even on rough ground…. Anyone thinking about one of these, i reccomend looking at the hisun for the price…
Make sure and tighten the Exhaust bolts going into the engine on my Coleman they both fell out luckily I heard the exhaust leak and I actually found the bolts in the bottom.
Always buy from a dealer if possible. We do the warranty work unlike big box stores. The machines are shipped without the windshields on them. So place of purchase was one to install. You can add power steering to your machine also. Let me know if you have any questions on machine. Don't let few things ruin your experience.
We still like it a lot. It makes it tough when there are no servicing dealers nearby, but places that sell them are everywhere. Its not a great look on massimos behalf, nor is their zero customer support. I can let a couple small things go. Places that take my money and run are a bit different. All these issues in a very short time are easy to leave a bad taste in your mouth. Im sure you can understand that.
Most anything Chinese made is a problem with quality and mechanics. Learned that with a Chinese motorcycle. We are all looking for similar products that the average person can afford. Looked at a new high end Polaris Ranger. Out the door it was over $40,000. I could buy a late model Jeep Rubicon for that price. Can afford neither. I went with an 06 Polaris Ranger. It has been great. Very reliable and a real workhorse.
Ya I knew that going in / The dealer hear wanted 3K over what I paid for mine // not going to happen // I suppose if your not mechanical it would be a concern.
I bought the MSU 850-5 in 2022. Worst purchase of my life. I bought expecting it to not be perfect for the price but I just need it to do little things around property. Same number 1 problem and complaint can never ever get ahold of them email or phone call. Do not buy at all in my opinion
Those things are garbage. I bought a Hisun Sector about 6 months ago. That things solid. I’m very impressed and there only 13,5 for a 750 My freinds have name brand machines. I’ve had to pull a few of them home and mine keeps on grinding away. I’m considering trading it in for a sports model. I want hesitate to buy another hisun and you can’t beat the price for the quality. I’ll put mine up against the best in a comparable style. And they are all Chinese. But hisun is built in Texas by a Chinese manufacturer. Therefore parts are easy to get. But, like the other guy stated. Buy from a reputable dealer. The seller puts them together and tractor supply employees aren’t UTV specialist. Or Home Depot. The dealer I bought mine from pulled it into the shop and went through mine because they just come off of the truck. They went through every nut and bolt and made sure it all checked out good. Actually had an idling issue. He said look it’s getting late. Take this loaner home play with it. Bring it back in a day or so. Drive it like you stole it and I want to make sure yours is a 100 percent before you leave with it and he did so. My advice. Clean it up sell it while you can if you can’t get a refund. Go buy another brand. There’s better budget machines out there of higher quality. Good luck sir.
That's the price you pay to save a bunch of money. To be fair, I paid nowhere near 11k so it's not as a bad taste to me. If I paid full retail, I would lose my mind.
Problem is nowadays $11k is throw away money to many obtuse YOLO individuals who spend alot for very little with mediocre quality yet continue to buy the same junk and foolishly spend on cheaply made Chinese garbage. We are the reason that communist country is thriving because we have a inflated appetite for cheap throw away garbage. Rather then spend an extra 2-5k for a better built Kawasaki or Honda from a better run country where quality is the apex of their existence. Kubota and Landmaster make well built side by sides too. Only the well outfitted hillbilly bogging on West Virginia roads side by sides are gonna run $20+k but are also way more capable and faster and won't have pieces fall off after a few rides. So in other words nowadays you don't get what you pay for, so to expect a marginally priced Chinese made product to be durable is at this point comical and wilfully ignorant. People need to stop wasting their hard earned money on consistently made garbage. This how we are in this problem to begin with. Several different Chinese brands probably just made from the same manufacturer. Costing cents to build but cost us thousands with all the people in the middle taking their piece. We should be rewarding manufacturers that consistently put out durable and reliable products for a fair price. Manufacturers like Honda, Kawasaki, Yamaha and Komatsu are few that come to mind. I would even trust Korean made over Chinese made any day and twice on Tuesday. So please stop making poorly performing manufacturers who don't live up to the basic standards to be in league with average performing manufacturers let alone the highest performing, wealthy with funds they clearly didn't earn, only stole, by making you believe they could even be in game in the first place 🤙🏼♥️
You can knit pic anything, all your complaints are really minor, Ive had way more problems with ATVs and UTVs from both Honda and Yamaha, not to mention piss poor service from their dealers than what your complaining about with this. Not to say your wrong about Massimo's products but at least you're not paying the price for a name brand with all the same issues and customer service.
With all due respect to those who've purchased Massimo products, please don't get taken by this company again and know there are higher quality comparable products at lower prices by other reputable companies you can do business with. Massimo isn't one of them.
Good share I came here to see a review on them Walmart has a $500 machine. We're low budget everything $1,000's of dollars. I'm just researching something cheap motorized used or new. For wife and her plants gardening etc. 2.5acres

Absolutely! More coming soon. Oil change and rear axle seal videos are on their way!

You just saved me $11,000 ! Thanks
I like the machine overall. I would not recommend it though, if you are not mechanically inclined or do not repair/maintain your items yourself.
Thanks for the warning. They just lost a potential customer
Lol😅
Is this a 2022 model ?
Is your sound on?
Ya I knew that going in / The dealer hear wanted 3K over what I paid for mine // not going to happen // I suppose if your not mechanical it would be a concern.
Yea, it's very beneficial to be somewhat mechanically inclined if you are not going to have dealer support to fall back on!
Take it back😊

As technical repair man for Massimo , there support is the worst I’ve ever seen!
And try to find manufacturers repair manual!!
Farm & Fleet is an authorized service provider for them. But overall the brand is pretty poor quality. It’s unfortunate they are made in Texas.

This is a hisun. They are all the same. All assembled in texas from chinese parts. Other than cosmetics and very minor changes, they are all the same.
so spend 11 grand, bring it home and rebuild the new machine....wow

Just so you know you can put LED's in the headlights.
Which ones? Ive tried 2 styles. Cant find a 3rd. I technically could have installed them, but i want to keep factory retention ring and everything
@@DirtbagOutdoors I will check with my guys, we got them at a local auto parts store. They made a huge difference.

loose hardware is on all brands
It shouldn't be
Not on the Kawasakis. They are built like tanks. Everything else appears subpar.
I put an exhaust silencer on mine and it really helped with the loudness.
