- Driving the MAN NL202 bus on the Ebstein Map, a map which I've never driven on before. In Part 1 I take Route 104 from Weinheim local train station to Ebstein ZOB (bus station). In Part 2 I make the return journey. The map is in my mod spreadsheet listed below.

Ebstine
Hi Alex
Squirrel, nice to see some more OMSI episodes on your channel, very entertaining.
Ebstein isn't bad, but there are some route helpers missing or incorrectly labeled. For Bismarckstraße, you should have stayed on the left track of the road where a special bus lane starts. Bismarckstraße is right at the beginning of that bus lane in the middle, the bus stop helper is missing, too. You passed that stop on the car lane without noticing it. DO NOT ENTER THE TUNNELS AT THE ZOB. They are for cars and not intended to be used by the player.
If you want to show some high quality maps, you can give "Städtedreick" a try, it's on the official forum. It spans across the fictional cities Laupendahl and Sisselsforst and the village Kaisertal and has a lot of bus routes: 25, 27, E27, 33, 43, R49, R52, 66, 69, NE75 and NE76. That's hours of driving!
I can also recommend Krefrath, a fantasy mix inspired by 4 or 5 real cities in the Ruhrgebiet / Rheinland region of Germany.
If you want to show a map of a real city, I'd recommend "Projekt Mainz". It's got only 2 routes, but they are 1:1 real regarding to the road layout, buildings are semi-real as far as possible without excessive effort. Mainz also includes 3 new busses, the MAN Lion's City Solo and Lion's City Bendy with features matching the original busses by MVG in Mainz and the Lion's City Bendy matching tne original bus by ORN, another operator (a Deutsche Bahn subsidiary) in that region.
Please DO contact me if you have any questions!
I forgot something..., Squirrel, you've got a working ticket printer and cash changer on board, how about learning to use them? :-p
Great info, how do I contact you? Could you email the mailbox maybe (see video description)?
Squirrel
I e-mailed you already. Hope you've got the message alright.
+Squirrel how do you play this game
+RattijuoppoFIN On some maps, you have to program it twice. In Bowdenham, on services H1 & H2, the H can't display correctly, so you have to set it yourself.
I absolutely love watching your videos Squirrel. I play OMSI 2 a fair bit and something that I have learnt is that if ever you don't know which way to go you just go straight and that seems to get you out of trouble. But thank you for all the great videos that you post i watch them all because i love the fact that you actually talk to your viewers during the video and not just have the sound off and play. You are amazing at what you do. Can't wait to see more.
Corey Parker
So refreshing to see another Paul driving video, love it :)
The sound effects on this bus are so spot on that I am getting nostalgic for my childhood, when the bus ride to my old home was on one of these same buses. Now there are only horrible-sounding Chinese buses on that route.
24:17 He sad "Morgen" That means "Morning" or "Good Morning" :)
I installed this route and drove this route the first and i must say it's an amazing map so much things to see
love ur vids mate. thumbs up from Dublin
andrew mockler London mate
great video squirrel
Great stuff as always :)
Good driving getting round that parked bus.
Your videos inspire me to do things in this line of employment
The intro is sooo cooool!!
always fun to see some OMSI on your channel squirrel :) the pasangers complain at the most stupidest of things lol
OMSI is always a laugh :-) Keep up the good work.
08:25 LOL you and your sliding windows obsessions Paul haha

Use Q to switch the stop forwards on the computer.
thank you for adding omsi2
Love you Omsi squirrel I would love to see a video of you driving a coach with a long journey
The Yoda guy reminds me of Jeremy Clarkson!
yay squirrel came back
intresting video keep them coming
Fun route I enjoyed it and will get the map!
Hey Paul, about the German pronunciation. Whenever you see 'ei' in a word, in this case Weinheim, just think of Albert Einstein. I'm not German myself but I'm sure this is how it works 99% of the time. Happy driving :)
I'm a fan of your videos I love them so much
good quality videos squirrel
24:10
"Morning, just a standard ticket mate."
I like the new intro! Yay OMSI again oh and watch out for taxis lol :)
good video very entertaining missed it very much
I must to say you are driving very good on the bus
7:50 Manfred says "A day ticket please", imagine, he would have cockney accent.
7:57 I'm all the day riding the bus, so I need, you know, a day ticket.
8:17 they have the Berlin S-Bahn
FInally OMSI! :)) Nice to see it
Nice!
"you are welcome" = "bitte sehr" or "gern geschehen" or "kein Problem", and the "A" on the bus traffic light means that it switches soon to green usually in 5 to 7 seconds.
you've made Yoda a star, got his own ad board gig 12:20
I love your vids
I am very much a fan of city buses in general ,I find the them fascinating to be in them and around them .
your the best omsi driver ever squirrel
Your smooth driving makes me fall asleep😑
YAY i love this game
well done
Yayyy omsi at last!
I love your beautiful bus videos and
1:04 ' If we're really lucky '
8:05 A train goes by and he does't notice
Also yeah those traffic lights with the bars are usually with the A above them,I think it means "Acknowledged" so it will turn to vertical as soon as it can. 22:20
I really like your videos driving bus
Jambon! Yes! Take OMSI! It will be fun to watch u drive! Lol
Couple of Yodas on board, you should introduce us to them.
Your doing very well in you tube mate from Bristol!
squirrel always watching your videos
It's called basics.

WOW! Asus partner :)
I had a 'Good morning fellow humans.' moment when they first went onto the buss. :p
I. Love. Your. Channel
14:40 well, the ad with a new Mini :D
Yayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy it's back
Lol there was a train leaving when you arrived at first stop
"Bitte zehn" - Squirrel, 16:25
Nailed it...
23:00 Maschinenfabrik is a factory for machines. MAN means Maschinenfabrik Augsburg Nürnberg. Don't let fool you by the false friend fabric. The German word Fabrik, pronounced fahBREEK, means factory.
we have those buses here in the West Midlands Dudley
Hay squirrel you are the best
I love omsi
Also you spend a lot of time on this😉😆😄
you are very good at your German and driving.
Hi Squirrel, I'm a big big fan and I love your videos .
I subscribed to your channel since a month and I think that it was a good decision. You make really professional videos and give your followers every week new good tips and funny gameplays.
But I have a little question.....how do you edit your videos and how do you make your intro?
I know, I asked you TWO questions
I like this video
I love omsi 2
I loved this video. I didn't even know this game existed. It takes me back to fond memories. As a young soldier I lived in Germany for a little over 4 years. I rode the busses all the time. Seen great scenery and met tons of people on those bus routes. I loved your attitude, tone and just a great video. I'm deff gonna be getting this game as well. Thanks and keep them coming. New subscriber here.
At 12:25, "The Best Passenger" was on an ad!
You need to do manual announcements on those buses by pressing q on your keyboard before every station.
if you press Q (Announcements) it should activate the annunciation, it worked for me.
I recommend Squirrel Great Grundorf 2 very good map
I love Omsi can you play it a lot
thanks
The 'A' means the signal has recognised your vehicle.
Pronounced "Ebshtine" and "Vinehime" ;)
+Steele1925 You could pronounce it Ebstine as well.... But that would be Hamburg / northern german dialect :D
+morbvsclz lol
+Superfudge lol
+drop zone lol
donmartini112 lol
Squirrel: plays with window... Misses train
Hey nice video! Do you think you could do a quick tutorial on how to program a route. Thanks!
The Flashing Light is saying that there is not enough air pressure.
I have this game, and I really want to play it. Too bad one of the clamps on my G27 broke.
Maschinenfabrik is oficially now "Machining Fabric"
I'm in two minds about giving OMSI 2 a go. Is it difficult to pick up and play? I've heard it can be tough to actually drive?
+SirJambon OMSI is (some stability issues aside) really good, actually driving is good (with support for G27 and TrackIR). Most confusing part for a newcomer to the game is setting up the bus/route (and for some buses the start-up procedures) since inside the bus it's all in German - there is a lot of information to find and good manuals/instruction video's on how to do these things so read up and after you've done it a couple of times it's easy enough.
Once you've gotten the hang of it it's a great sim with some awesome map and bus mods available.
+SirJambon Hey jambon!!
fuzzand
hey fuzzand!
Fused84
Yes these are the complexities that concern me. Perhaps when I have more time I will get it and sit down to try setting up a route etc.
+SirJambon It is the complexity that makes it a simulator, not an arcade game that every kid can handle (properly). Maybe it will increase your respect for the bus drivers in your home town once you learn all the stuff a real bus driver has to master every single day. ;-)
If you go for it, don't forget a decent steering wheel! It should allow for a full 900° steering angle, but it doesn't require an expensive G25/27/29, the Logitech Driving Force GT (originally developed for the PS3) is a good compromise between quality and price. Note that most OMSI busses have automatic transmission and don't require a clutch pedal. Many busses with manual transmission also support shift-up/down gear changing with that wheel.
OMSI can alternatively be controlled by keyboard and mouse too, but that's not even close to how it feels to drive a bus.
Nice intro
Yoda is on the bill board at 12:18
'Return ticket please'
'Where to?!'
'Back here...'
Curious to what that jingle is that chimes as you activate the ignition? is it unique to any particular bus?
You're talking about the startup tune of IBIS, the Integrated on-Board Information System. Depending on the IBIS model on the bus, there are different startup tunes to choose from or none at all. If there are tunes to select, the selection is usually made when IBIS is pre-configured for the bus company that owns and operates the bus in their specific region. It is usually not to be changed by the driver.
Yaaaaaaaaaaaayyy!!!
In my opinion you are an expert bus driver
So how do u get this map after the mod tab for Omsi 2 was taken down from the mod spreadsheet
Do some more OMSI 2 please squirrel
A means 'Abfahrt' which means departure.
You are correct
Please more OMSI 2 videos!
Anyway why did you quit them?
cool
YES THE BEAUTIFUL OMSI WINDOWSSS xd
19:36 did he say 'Stop Wequest!"?
