22:51 -Come on, pal... I don't need this is my life right now. *beep* *beep* *beep* *beep* -What are you waiting for!? *beep* *beep* -wow the horn on this bus... *looks to the right* st - whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa... *beeeeeeeeeeeeep* good grief that was close XD One thing I like about OMSI is the degree of realism, you know, real-life routes in a real-life part of the world with real-life (old-school?) buses. I also like the way the passengers complain, be it about a sharp turn or for being late or braking too harsh. Those moments are hilarious whenever they happen like at 24:21. XD
i really just love when i see a vid of squirrel in my sub box and even better when it's Omsi in Vienna, because i've taken this Bus in Real Life often when i had to go to work this Route :) oh and Ps: @ 23:04 that is sooo realistic haha, just looking at that cars Plate "MI" for Mistelbach, yep these guys from that suburb would do that in real life definitely.
I'm from Vienna and I'm fascinated with how detailed this game is. All shops and restaurants look exactly like they did in real life. But in the last few years there was a lot of change in this neighborhood so many buildings (especially along Kagraner Platz) are different now. Also there's a different announcer now.
So the annoucer basically tells at many stops onto which lines you can transfer, hence why the numbers and yes siebenundzwanzig is 27 and sechsundneunzig is 96.
It´s so nostalgic seeing this route again. I grew up driving with this bus. But everything looks diffrent today, and this busline also doesnt exist anymore =(
Paul, ziebenundzwanzig = 27 lol the announciator is telling when and where people can changeover to other routes. Umsteigen = changeover / switch to. That building with the Dutch windmill and Blumen text is a typical Dutch flower export company called Holland Bloemenmarkt or Holland Blumenmarkt. They had really Nice white with orange trucks running around to that area from my region here in the Netherlands and even startend their own flowerists in Austria. I think they went broke, not sure though.
The Announcer say in which (bus and s-bahn (City train)) lines you can go (and the direction it goes), when exiting the next station, and not that you are late. And the number was Sieben und Zwanzig which is 27.
OK: in German, the numbers one to twelve are: eins, zwei, drei, vier, fünf, sechs, sieben, acht, neun, zehn, elf, zwölf. They all have a unique name. From thirteen onwards, the numbers are composed of two numbers (except 20, 30, 40, etc.). So 23 is "dreiundzwanzig" (threeandtwenty is the direct translation). The first number mentioned is the one at the back (drei is mentioned first, so its the amount of ones) and the second one mentioned is the one at the front (the number of tens). The remaining unique numbers from twenty to ninety are: zwanzig, dreizig, vierzig, fünfzig, sechszig, siebzig, achtzig, neunzig. "Zig" is a German expression for ten. All numbers in between these are composite numbers, "achtundvierzig", "zweiundsechszig" and so on. The announcements where the voice says something like: "Nächster Halt: Gewerbegebiet. Umsteigestelle zu den Buslinien dreiundachtzig nach Hirdstetten und neunundzwanzig nach Waldstadt über Lesslingen...", its basically telling the passengers the name of the next bus stop (Gewerbegebiet for ex.), the fact that you can change bus there and take a different route (Umsteigestelle zu...) and then it finally lists the bus routes and their respective end stations, like here you can take line 83 to Hirdstetten and line 29 to Waldstadt via Lesslingen (sometimes they also say "S-Bahn" or "U-Bahn" which means you can get on the tram or tube at that stop). Once you know the twenty unique numbers, you can understand all the numbers from 1 to 99 in German. I just thought I'd explain that because you seemed to be struggling with the numbers quite a bit. As for German pronounciation of names, an "ß" is pronounced like an "s" but slgihtly faster, an "eu" is pronounced like "oi" in English, "sch" is like a "sh" sound, "ch" is pronounced like in English but softer, "au" is pronounced "ow", "ei" is pronounced like the English "i", "ie" and "i" are sound identical and are both pronounced like an English "e", and "äu" is the same as "eu" in terms of sound.
Squirrel, I gotta say I love your videos. You make watching something that should inherently be pretty boring into something fun, interesting, and educational. I especially love the train sim stuff, because I am interested in trains and would love to work as a motorman on the NYC subway. Anyways, just wanted to say keep it up and don't listen to the people that constantly bitch about everything, just do you. You are literally the only person on youtube I have ever subscribed to. Thanks for the time you put into this.
Vienna,my homecity and my favorite city ever ! Awesome video man ;) The licence plates on your bus look very weird though. Is it a bug or made on purpose ? When it´s made on purpose then it´s wrong. P.S OMV Gas Stations are pretty common in Austria but only in Austria I think ^^
good real bus sounds, good bus route, windows that open lol, bus buttons that actually work = another great video. Only thing slightly annoying was the drivers seat position on this bus, as you can not see the passengers getting on this bus from that view. Miles better than bus sim 16. More omsi videos please.
I really don't like the position of the driver amd the fact that he needs a screen. It is a shame he even needs one because some people can't behave on the bus
Been watching your vids for at least two years now, and am really now a huge fan. I would personally like to thank you for keeping your language clean. (I'm sure people are laughing at me for saying that.) Great videos, keep up the great work. Best wishes from America!
On ATS, I picked up a mod for the Peterbilt 389 Truck from the Steam Workshop. I also have a real company mod that I picked up on the first day of the 1.2 public beta from the workshop also!
Good video as usual Paul. I find however, that your commentary is often wrong or way off track.. For instance you said a few times there was only 1 car on the road, then 10 went by in the next minute and many had been stuck behind you the whole time, lol. It kinda drives me nuts, but I do like the quality of your videos so I keep watching.
In the company that I work for, if you are under 10 mins late, you're pretty much on time.. That's a rule that is in place to ease the drivers workload... From day one they tell us that all you have to worry about is the departure time, and that you will get to the destination whenever you get there.
Brings back memorys from my PSV Days,One of out old bus inspectors always said you get sacked for being early and paid for being late. And 99% of buses dont have keys you press in the brake peddal and then press the button. What steering wheel and / or peddels do you use ? Good video tho keep um coming.
in german we count the last number first. so directly translated into english twentyseven (siebenundzwanzig) would be sevenandtwenty. or eightynine (neunundachzig) would be nineandeighty. so we when we have 123 or onehundredtwentyfree, we count the hundred then the three, and then the twenty. einhundertdreiundzwanzig. onehundredthreeandtwenty.
+Squirrel Please do a video on the default Omsi2 map. I think you did not do one on that before ;) ps: "Zwanzig" is twenty, so "siebenundzwanzig" is 27. "Sechsundneunzig" is 96. ps2: I heard about somebody crashing on a scooter - which was stolen - and he was drunk - and did not have a license. That's what really gets you banned from driving :D
Squirrel please can you do an OMSI video where you go "off route" part way through the journey. I just want to see what would happen & what the reaction from the passengers would be.
Squirrel, I need to know which omsi I should buy, I've never bought an omsi 2 game so should I get the original omsi 2 or the add on's like London, Chicago and so on? What should I get
Nice vid, squirrel, but you still don't get a few things. You don't need to select the line and destination on the menu when you're going to punch it in. That's only a work-around for guys who don't want to use the IBIS system. Next, it is completely fine to be 2-3 minutes late, don't need to drive crazy at that point - don't forget that none of your passengers (nor you) are wearing seatbelts. The IBIS is telling you your delay, you could've disabled the red font at the top. And yes, you can enjoy the game a lot more when you speak german and yes, it is kinda hard to learn that language. I am not german, I originate from a more eastern country but I speak german fluently and it was a pain learning that. Especially the numbers are still giving me a hard time, since they read the last two digits in reverse.
Ok, if the drive wheel is in the rear articualated section of the bus. How does that thing keep from driving wwonky. is there a vise system on the pivot point or something?

always relaxing watching squirrel drive a bus or train....

Used to take this exact route home! The nostalgia gave me the shivers :) The sim is spot on, every shop, road and roadsign haha

Cool. Wish they made one for my city
So the annoucer basically tells at many stops onto which lines you can transfer, hence why the numbers and yes siebenundzwanzig is 27 and sechsundneunzig is 96.
His name is Franz kaida (the announcer). I used to live in Vienna when his voice was still used
It´s so nostalgic seeing this route again.

Someone great TH-camr slept thru his German lessons! :D
Yeah numbers in german aren't as complicated as Squirrel thinks. Also I'm Austrian (not Vienna, but Upper Austria).
A lot of times i sit right behind the driver in front of the window. So i can see what the driver does 16:14

"maybe if I stand here I get a feeling of how it is to be a bus driver" , says the person playing a bus driver in OMSI ;-)
FINALLY, THE OMSI VIDEOS HAS COME BACK..........HOME!

That woman standing there just admires you from behind.
SQUIRREL ROCKS!!!
Vienna,my homecity and my favorite city ever !
Awesome video man ;)
The licence plates on your bus look very weird though. Is it a bug or made on purpose ? When it´s made on purpose then it´s wrong.
P.S OMV Gas Stations are pretty common in Austria but only in Austria I think ^^
13:45 zwanzig is twenty. You used to be right
In Australia 27 degrees with 33% humidity is beautiful

Has an amazing startup sound.
@13:53 nope, good guess but it's 20 not 12 thus 27 we say it kind of backwards (i.e. 7 and 20)
Been watching your vids for at least two years now, and am really now a huge fan. I would personally like to thank you for keeping your language clean. (I'm sure people are laughing at me for saying that.) Great videos, keep up the great work. Best wishes from America!

Nach meiner meinung
OMSI ist besser als Bus-Simulator
Das stimmt
Funny when you beeped at the car when he pulled o
Ut on you
OMV is a pretty big Petrol station. It is the main petrol service in Hungary. I'm pretty sure it the same case in Austria and Slovakia and such
Did anyone else notice that the seats are old stagecoach seats?
+ethan mcmenamie-trotter ah, remember when?
ethan mcmenamie-trotter thought I saw them from somewhere before
I like this video the best and I love most of them
'Umsteigen zu Linie X' means 'change for line X' - you could do with going over your German Paul :D (I can recommend the website Duolingo)
Good video squirrel
Squirrel, in my country it gets up to 42 degrees!
Driven like a boss..
my bus driver drives the bus with those pressure lights on

OMV are usually a lot more famous and frequent in easter Europe (e.g. Romania, Hungry and Austria
+Squirrel at 7:46 did u say "lets get ready to sh*t the doors"?
Yes he did lol XD
NOOOOOOOOOO!!!!
Ryan Tan true
He didn’t
haaaa it did sound like that 😂😂😂😂
we have OMV gas stations in Romania as well, they'r quite a big company.
Indicators on busses stay on. Thats on the busses in Belgium also ;-)
haha. I used to live there. No one in Vienna queues.
That moment when you are German or speak German and easily follow everything the annunciator said... (And Paul completely misunderstand it xD)
apparently OMV is based in Vienna Squirrel
In the company that I work for, if you are under 10 mins late, you're pretty much on time.. That's a rule that is in place to ease the drivers workload... From day one they tell us that all you have to worry about is the departure time, and that you will get to the destination whenever you get there.
The busses in the hague have a limit of 2,5 minutes. If they are later then that their on board computer goes red
Seriously? That's a tight schedule!
The Flying Menace yes. i don't know how they get punished for being late but it is in my city
hey squirrel do ekurus bus if that bus is in omsi2. they roam budapest. Its a very nice fat classical 1970s bus.
love omsi play more
good gameplay! :)
Not sure if you read your comments, but I really think you'll like Bus & Cable Car Simulator: San Francisco
OMV used to sponsor the Peugeot WRC team.

Please do a video on the default Omsi2 map. I think you did not do one on that before ;)
ps:
"Zwanzig" is twenty, so "siebenundzwanzig" is 27. "Sechsundneunzig" is 96.
ps2:
I heard about somebody crashing on a scooter - which was stolen - and he was drunk - and did not have a license. That's what really gets you banned from driving :D
He did one route on the default map. Route 5

I missed that, thanks.
+X8X8X8X8X8X8X8X8X8X no probs. Just search squirrel and omsi 2 and you will get there

Thanks very much
Bill Williams no problemo
Sqrriel more omsi 2 video please
Last time he plays OMSI 2 on his original account... rip.
I had a Mate drive a bus when I wer a chavie ya know !
Just how hard was it to learn the controls when this is a German game Mate ?
Squirrel, I need to know which omsi I should buy, I've never bought an omsi 2 game so should I get the original omsi 2 or the add on's like London, Chicago and so on? What should I get
+Random Videos The addon's you mentioned requires the base game (titled OMSI 2). They won't work without it.
+Jesse Bennett oh thanks, so just buy the one for the pc ?
+Random Videos Pretty much. It's available from Steam (makes the process so much easier), or via Aerosoft I believe.
+Jesse Bennett what's that?
Steam or Aerosoft?

hi squirrel i was wondering if you could do a video on installing omsi 2 mods as i am getting really confused, thanks.
Squirrel
You should try some Hong Kong Map :)
Which one do you prefer omsi or bus simulator 16
Watching in September 2017... I know it's been a while but could you do omsi in Toronto
Please do more omsi 2!!!!!!!
Love omsi better than bus simulator 16
I love the complicity in omsi 2
22:54 -23:07 O.O idiots they could got hit
do more night bus routes
13:50 Its 27. Sieben is seven und zwansig 20
Don't think it's your driving just the timetables appear really tight
He should've closed the doors immediately after someone boards and that could help save some time
You need to play Great Grundorf 2
Ok, if the drive wheel is in the rear articualated section of the bus. How does that thing keep from driving wwonky. is there a vise system on the pivot point or something?
The diff is specifically designed.
it jsut seems odd. i mean it jsut seems like the pivot point would be a real hinderance to the thing.
sterling day There is a lot of fine tuning done to the diff which usually is very expensive to fix. For that reason a lot of diesel bendy buses transfer power to the back wheels of the front section hydraulically and diesel-electrics usually have their motors mounted on the wheels directly.
Please record P3D video please!! they are so good and I enjoy them sure other people do also, like this so that squirrel can see :)
Dont know if I got that right, did you said "flip an egg?" or am I stupid?
If you said that, what does it mean?

What button is it for the red text on the top left
do you buy this or is it an online game
Weird how the drive axle is in the back in my opinion. Just doesn't makes sense in a bendy (to me). Hmm.
+TallulahSoie Same here. One would think the second (or middle) axle being the halfway point it would counter-balance the power to the steering and dead axles. I only know of the Van Hool AG300 articulated w/ mid-engine.
were do u get these game from and for omsi i need to find my activation key how??!!
