- Hello and welcome to another OMSI 2 video!
Today we're going for a drive in the DAF DB250 Optare Spectra, also known as the "FAF Digibus Phantom". This bus is a payware addon by V3D which brings this fantastic bus to our OMSI world.
I've driven this before, and to be honest with you i'd kinda forgotten how good it is! I really enjoyed the sounds of this bus, and how it is to drive, and I think maybe it's been neglected on this channel.
Anyway today we're on the Park and Ride Route 100 on Westcountry 3, where we'll be taking this bus for a spin into town and back!

Always liked the old Slavecoach moquette. Probably the only thing I did like about them when I worked there 😃

Used to travel on these home from school before they were replaced with Saab/Scania busses. The carpet on the ceiling was typical wilts and Dorset I will not hear a bad word said about it 😂😂 wish there was the little optare single deck busses too they used to make the best sound x
It's old wilts & Dorset livery know know as Salisbury reds and owned by go ahead south coast most of these were sold to Abus bristol until last year when abus ceased trading

The spectra was my childhood bus. Wish it had a ZF mod. Brilliant video. Wilts and Dorset was my local now it more bus and Salisbury reds.
I used to drive for damory and a lot of the paint jobs were still wilts and Dorset, definitely my favourite one to drive
Optare Spectra's are my favourite looking double-decker buses. Less is more with design to me. Always.

It is a shame that they've all gone, I don't think even squarepeg has the 02 or 52 plate ex-arriva Yorkshire ones anymore,
I used to ride on them twice a day every day a couple of years ago, but sadly this was before I could appreciate them as I wasn't a bus nut at that point
Love these sort of buses. I'm sure some of the other buses around this generation would've had a mirror in the cabin to view the upstairs. I always got told off as a kid by my mum for looking down it from the top deck😂

Great idea with this and the Joe ahead company maybe do one in the temporary old livery and one in the Joe ahead orange and black would look great.
You're right, R291CVM and R292CVM were the first low floor deckers to enter service in the UK, with Bullocks of Cheadle in Manchester. They just beat Travel West Midlands' R1NEG into service, which was also a Spectra. And there were dual door step entrance Spectras, mostly for Turkey - only 1 entered service in the UK, K302FYG with Metroline.
R1 NEG is preserved here in the West Midlands, and redone into its original Travel West Midlands paint scheme.
12:37 IRL there was Spectra's with dual doors but in OMSI there isn't any dual door of the Spectra.

Hey Joe! Recently got the MS gen3 pack and luckily it works unlike other paid DLCS I've had before, but in the main Paignton area I get a severe frame drop to 20, I have a very very very high end PC it my graphics will suffice for the performance. Can you please share some ways to fix this?

Us in Swindon are very lucky to have Darts everywhere and not solos! i would really love a high quality dart, one wit5h a voith ( like the old thamesdown ones) and a allison would be amazing! maybe one day
@@tarantino9746 yh same would love that massive shame thamesdown got rid of theirs but at least Stagecoach still have them
@@marcelgreco8357 if Thamesdown didnt scrap theirs, theyd get quite a bit as its very rare to find a VOITH Dart. im glad Stagecoach have darts instead of solos!
