Thank you for this history. Pearl had tried to sue the doctors who Russell saw early on with throat problems who ignored his condition until it was too late. She lost the lawsuit. Rest in Peace mighty Brave Eagle.❤
He definitely served his purpose on Earth for a movement that continues to persever for all indigenous nations worldwide. I just got instant goosebumps and a chill 🤷 its 90 above.
@@lodersracing Not only was he a good actor but he was our great advocate for his people. He never held back to let the government know that they screwed the natives of this country of this land.
I lived in Bishop California and had an Indian friend, who admitted to me he gets free stuff, and very low house payments on the reservation from the government, and NEVER once said he was mistreated
He overcame a sh*tty childhood to become a star in every way, only to go out in a slow, painful decline. Have you had cancer, and the God awful treatment? I went through a similar type and was fortunate to survive. Though the treatment was awfully miserable. Please don't insult any cancer patient by minimizing what that involves.
I don’t believe Russell had a sad ending to his life! I have known Russell for many years also including Dennis Banks. They both had a great life in this world where they spoke up for me and my family for all Native American Indian the indigenous people and I am so grateful to them. Being apart of AIM for many years is something I would not trade for anything! Russell never ever complain to me about how bad or sad his life was and always treasured the life he had on earth 🌍. He and Dennis were the greatest world for all the indigenous people along with the Navajo warrior Fred Johnson who is no longer here with us. These warriors were never afraid to stand down to anyone and may they live on in our lives who came across them.
I first time came across saw him from Thomas and the Magic Railroad 2000. I saw the film at Harlow Town Cinema. I secondly saw him from The Last of the Mohicans 1992 on DVD.

Totalmente de acuerdo. Pero lo que dice el título es "la vida y el triste final". De todas formas tampoco fue un final triste, sino bastante normal. Mal títulado.
I see there a couple of channels putting out six to eight videos a day on actors who have died. They are all pushing the “sad ending” clickbait and that is the really sad part. I wonder how much $$ they are getting for each video?
I mean that is a shame to the Government. Since I was young I would have liked to go there and see myself, because of some books I read about Wounded Knee, ... books, M.A. Crow Dog wrote, ...
Why? What's the reason, I mean.... This man is viewed almost like a God... So tell me, what is it that you don't like.... Does it have to do with the scandal of Annie Mae and Suzanne Dupree?
I always thought Russel chose the Antlers Hotel as Argonaut Liquor was on the corner 100 feet away .. Safeway was across the street.. had to get yer alcohol loaded up Saturday... As Colorado had 3.2 beer only on Sundays aye ?

God bless … a man of principle … R.I.P.
He did his best for his people, loved him in the Last Of The Mohicans my favorite movie .
He definitely served his purpose on Earth for a movement that continues to persever for all indigenous nations worldwide. I just got instant goosebumps and a chill 🤷 its 90 above.
It was an honor to have met him. I was in awe of him.
He was a great legend, out spoken man will always remember by the Native Indians 🙏 ❤
His stellar performance in “The last of the Mohicans” will always be one of my favorites. RIP warrior.
Same, brilliant film and performance!

YES ... he was the 'presence' in the movie, NOT Day-Lewis
Russell Means opened my eyes to alot of things. Miss him, but we'll see him again. Was'te
Fly high great grandpa I will miss you for ever until I see you again😢😢😢😢😢
He was stellar and will always be a high point in humanity. He is a champion to indigenous people. True warriors are hard to come by.
He's a warrior and will be remembered RIP brother 🙏
What a great loss
Our dad was Oglala from Pine Ridge...he was also a Navy diver and is buried near Wounded Knee♥️
🙏for his family Mr. Means is cherished in our hearts forever🙏
Who are you cheryl9389? I am his eldest and I don't know you and he never was in the Navy and he's not buried in Wounded Knee.
HE IS CORRECT AND HIS IS AN HONORABLE MAN.
Sad ending for a living legend. Rough family life may have been attributed to his commitments, and goals.
I lived in Bishop California and had an Indian friend, who admitted to me he gets free stuff, and very low house payments on the reservation from the government, and NEVER once said he was mistreated
He could act ... He just could live a real life
I know he surely is missed by his tribe and his family and friends ❤❤❤❤
I mean, the cancer sucks but other than that, how was it a “sad” ending? Sounds like he led a pretty productive and useful life right up to the end.
He was a Criminal and druggie 1st
Agreed!
Exactly !
No sad ending, everything normal and natural.
He overcame a sh*tty childhood to become a star in every way, only to go out in a slow, painful decline.

If you have nothing nice to say, then say nothing.
The world needs freedom fighters like russell.. he has gone to. The big teepee. In the sky. R.I.P.. brother.
He went back to Mother Earth. There is no 'teepee in the sky'. clown.
I love how you post so much
He was in the 1999 film called Wind River.
Wind River is from 2017. Famous First Nations actor Graham Greene was in it.
@@inlakesh555there was another wind river movie, dumbass.
I’ll always remember his role as Billy Two Feathers on Thomas and the Magic Railroad

5:40 that’s Wes studi
5:50 - the actor shown is not Means, but Wes Studi
Yup, I thought for a moment that perhaps Studi was holding a trophy to give to Means, but it's got Studi's name on it too. Oops.
So much for accuracy
Sad? he did awesome in his life.

I think this site and Black Stars News are the same people. I agree Please get off the Life and Sad Ending click bait title.
I don't get it. What is "Click Bait" and what is "Sad Ending" having to do with $?
My best friend, my dog Tula, also grew up on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation.
RIP Russell🕊🪶❤
The Native American should fight for and independent state or to Free their lands between the 2 Seas!

Wasn't he in the commercial for pollution in the 70s?
That was Iron Eyes Cody
And Iron Eyes Cody was Sicilian.
I have been on that reservation. It is like a 3rd world country.

Funny how Russ hated native Americans and preferred native Indian I think
What if Russell Means Was Still Alive And Then He Would Not Been Died In October 22, 2012 And His Acting Career Would Been Began In 1968
I don’t think to many people knew the way he really was, never liked him.
Why? What's the reason, I mean.... This man is viewed almost like a God... So tell me, what is it that you don't like.... Does it have to do with the scandal of Annie Mae and Suzanne Dupree?
@roxypoxy3609, troll, I have seen this woman on Anna Mae's daughters platform's.
He did try modern medical treatment, but it was futile.
A bit pessimistic on your part.

He was a great American who knew more about The Constitution than most lawyers. I admire him for both standing up to Federal AND tribal abuse.

As the rest of us grow up...and civilize .. others bang drums and go woo woo.. come on ...he did nothing to build anything ... He was a poser...sorry
