Excellent production with amazing singing and performances. My only criticism would be that a lot of the actors seem to slip in and out of the English accent. That said however, as an actor I know how difficult it can be to sustain an accent for an entire play.
WOW! I have worked in musical theatre for over 40 years, and am quite impressed by this production! This is one of Sondheim's most challenging & demanding shows. So, to see a high school take up such a difficult task and pull it off is quite impressing! BRAVO!
For a high school production this was very impressive - well-acted and good singing. Sondheim isn't easy on a good day, and this is one of his most difficult works. Bravo!
This is a high school!? WOW!! The singing is truly magnificent - what a fabulous theater program this school must have. And a full orchestra as well?! I’m astounded. Very impressed.
This. Is. Fantastic. Like a lot of other commenters, I'm struggling to believe this is a high school production. Sweeney legit sounds like a young George Hearn. Whenever I watch a production, I pay close attention to "Epiphany", "A Little Priest", "God Thats Good", and the finale....all of them were SOLID in this production. Glad I found this!
wonderful singing, costumes etc - i only wish they could have a had several cameras as in the San Fran version - but for a high school production! WOW!!! They should be very proud!
as a recent high school graduate who was in theatre my whole high school career, my first thought was of how jealous i am of their stage, the amount of actors they have, and their singing talent! our director never let us do musicals…partly because we couldnt sing but mainly budget. high school theater is dramatically underfunded, this production shows what can be accomplished with the right people. amazing, beautiful, bravo

The girl playing Mrs. Lovett is an absolute treasure - she has JUST the right amount of ham and spunk that the role requires. Fantastic voice, too, but that goes without saying.
All these comments, and no love for Antony here? Honestly, Antony, Todd, and Lovett, all have fantastic voices and great skill! Even so, the entire cast and crew did a wonderful job overall, especially for a High School! I'd even compare this to being on par with most high quality community theatre productions. Nothing of the Broadway level, but close, for sure. I really hope the principal players have found more success on the stage.
This is my favorite rendition of Sweeney Todd and I just can't listen to or watch any of the others anymore without thinking of this one, haven't been able to for years, I can't believe it was done by a high school troop!
I'm allowing myself a second comment. Having looked at a number of High School productions, I have continually returned to this - the performances here are brilliant. These are the best I have seen, and include people, the two leads and Toby, in particular, with potential futures in professional musical theatre. My survey included a recent, award-winning production that clearly had a substantial budget. A glossy production can easily sway the judgement of viewers - it's important to ignore the visual gloss, and look to the actual performances. There are a quite a few High School productions of this, perhaps the most popular of Sondheim's works. It's not fair to be too critical of these various efforts as students are all giving their best ability, and, unlike professional productions, aren't commercial, trying to be profitable (even if being supported by Arts subsidies). It's too easy to be swayed by school productions that have money to spend on elaborate sets, costumes, lighting, etc., but I look at the performances of the cast members.
"Now, this may be a bit *stringy* , but of course, it's *fiddle-player*."

1:09:48 the laugh he does is adorable (for a murderer) he’s genuinely so intrigued by this idea 😭🤚🏽
WOW! I have worked in musical theatre for over 40 years, and am quite impressed by this production!
This is one of Sondheim's most challenging & demanding shows. So, to see a high school take up such a difficult task and pull it off is quite impressing!
BRAVO!
Only if blood was that easy to clean up
Lol, he'd be on a killing spree if it was. xD
Sure as hell it would make my job easier.
I wish XD
D. Laney UM
Peroxide.
Omg. I love Mr. Sweeney's face when he was suprise. Even his face a little bit baby to me but his voice is marvellous
A.J. L what????
Did you type this while drunk?
the setting of poor thing came out soooo nice! props to the set designer, and lights, and the choreo, and the actors, and props :)))
I love how they mentioned the private joke and you could see they were geniunely laughing, it was so much fun to watch
Their version of A Little Priest is honestly one of my favorites! I love that both Sweeney and Lovett are SO into their own pun-making
No one:
Not a single soul:
Organ during the intro: *furiously musicing in Victorian*
Oh my gosh I was reading this as the organ in the beginning really went for it😂😂😂
As someone watching Sweeney Todd for the first time, this is fantastic! I couldn’t imagine my high school even trying this 😂
For a high school production this was very impressive - well-acted and good singing. Sondheim isn't easy on a good day, and this is one of his most difficult works. Bravo!
This Mrs Lovett is the BEST I've ever seen. Including professionals!
This is a high school!? WOW!!
The singing is truly magnificent - what a fabulous theater program this school must have. And a full orchestra as well?! I’m astounded. Very impressed.
You’re telling me this was HIGH SCHOOL? insanity. The performances are incredible
This. Is.
I absolutely love Mrs lovett in this her accent and voice is just amazing and so smooth and beautiful
as a recent high school graduate who was in theatre my whole high school career, my first thought was of how jealous i am of their stage, the amount of actors they have, and their singing talent! our director never let us do musicals…partly because we couldnt sing but mainly budget. high school theater is dramatically underfunded, this production shows what can be accomplished with the right people. amazing, beautiful, bravo
I'm playing Tobias at school and this Toby was awesome!
+Tom Spencer thx :)
+Trevor Norris great job. :)
don't you DARE killing sweeny todd
Reese Miller He already did.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Omg that was the best Toby I’ve ever seen I can’t breathe
Sweeney and Lovett are so good in this one!

@@frog9524 Thank you!
Mr. Snyder has quite the presence on stage. This is an excellent production!
I watched the whole play and finished it before i realise it was a high school production because it's just that good.
This is the best Sweeney Todd production I've seen.
The comedic timing of these two is on point, the little looks Mrs Lovett gives are on point
This is excellent but I need to take a moment to say that mrs. Lovett here is phenomenal. She gets all of the subtleties perfect.
I just want to say (not even 30 minutes in yet) WOW I had to close my eyes and listen when Anthony was singing Johanna. Such a beautiful voice.
The girl playing Mrs. Lovett is an absolute treasure - she has JUST the right amount of ham and spunk that the role requires. Fantastic voice, too, but that goes without saying.
Judge Turpin sounds like he belongs on the Simpsons. Its awesome.
Have you heard his original actor??
Ocareening severus snape
All these comments, and no love for Antony here?
Honestly, Antony, Todd, and Lovett, all have fantastic voices and great skill! Even so, the entire cast and crew did a wonderful job overall, especially for a High School! I'd even compare this to being on par with most high quality community theatre productions. Nothing of the Broadway level, but close, for sure.
I really hope the principal players have found more success on the stage.
I have watched this so many times. It's actually ridiculous.. Y'all are fantastic
Sweeney’s voice actually had me in awe. All of them are way too talented people wow.
Toby basically becoming Sweeney in the end gave me CHILLS
This is my favorite rendition of Sweeney Todd and I just can't listen to or watch any of the others anymore without thinking of this one, haven't been able to for years, I can't believe it was done by a high school troop!
If only illegal heathers had this quality
This is a really amazing production for high school! I mean seriously impressive!
edit: that Johanna wig is a crime though
I love how at the beginning Sweeney is shouting at Anthony and Anthony is just like"Yeah I get it dude you're mad"
I'm 19 minutes in and I'm blown away by the guy playing Sweeney Todd, hope he goes far, this is giving me chills, I love it!
Outstanding performance! Cheers to all the cast, especially to Sam Snyder for his amazing performance as Sweeney.
The guy who plays Sweeny is so captivating, I can’t take my eyes off of him
The casting for miss Lovett was perfect, she was so energetic and yet dark I love her
Mrs. Lovett is such a good actor, she is very expressive
Man it must have hurt when Sweeney killed them because their face smashed into the wood
Does anyone know the social media for any of the actors in the production?! I really wanna support them and see their future work! They all did great!
I have my high school version of Sweeney Todd tomorrow! I play Mrs Lovett and I’ve never been more scared in my entire life!!!
Olivia Quinn i hope it was fun!!
Tracerstit yes it was amazing!! I loved every second of it even though I had a panic attack before I went on😂
