Yes! I was just telling my son yesterday that I've never seen anyone use the C/G moved up to D and add the B on the G string. (A - D - F# - B with the open B & E strings) I've had a little progression, that uses it, in my space music days of old. I love all your stuff Jedd. Thank you for allowing us into your world.
Sigh, how I wished, I could simply spend some time in Nashville. Only stopped there by for one day so far. Hearing, that brilliant cats like Jedd, Guthrie, Uncle Larry are doing gigs on a regular basis...man, that would be heaven for me.
Sounds incredible Jedd! Your musicality is such a good match with that guitar! I got myself an old jazzy some years ago, it's my no1 when recording. So versatile and inspiring! Cheers, Michael
Hey Jedd thanks for the beautiful Holoween tune treats! Hope you and your family have great “trick or treat”luck and find a good time with a ghost or two!
Just catching up on some Jedd,. You shouldn’t make time for haters, but being human it’s sometimes a knee jerk reaction. Coming up as a young player, some of the guys I looked up to were so caught up with themselves. Some even turned their backs so you couldn’t see what they were playing , selfish pricks. So I’m amazed at how you put so much of yourself in what you do and invite people to learn and enjoy. Same could be said for your other 2 buddies. Nothing wrong with being a little successful, it’s well deserved bro
Been playing guitars for about 20 years, and finally got a Jazzmaster & Jaguar. Man what beautiful instruments. I was lied to about the tremolo’s. They are the most dreamy lush sounding clean tone guitars I’ve played. My search is over.🤙🏽 Love your channel and amazing playing!
Really loved this flavor of your playing! Bluesy - Soul - Rock blend... and then into soundtrack pensive Jedd. :) You are def in a category above 99.9% of us. Don't sweat some small comment.
I am loving you loving the Jazzmaster, mainly because you bring out the best in it, and sound AUSome. On a side note, that Shark Fin must be lonely these days... and I did call dibs previously. 😊 Love you, Jedd.
@JeddHughesOfficial You seem like a fairly good reference,I will give them a go. If I put them on a split-coil, should get a pretty good taste, you think?
The P90's sound great! We played a Halloween party at a VFW for almost 20 years straight. It's hard to find a costume where you don't get too hot, and/or doesn't interfere with playing guitar! Getting scarecrow straw in your Strat is a no bueno! LOL 8) Have fun!! Peace --gary

@@badgerdub Thanks! I remember Jedd saying that now that you mention it. I grew up w/ PAF's, P-90's, Strat/Tele SC's in the 60's. Never had a J-Master. Old dog, new trick. Woof woof LOL. Peace --gary
Jedd, sounds great! What amp are you playing today? Also when you’re preparing for solo shows, do you practice acoustic plugged in with the verb & all? Thanks! Good luck solo-dadding, enjoy those kiddos man.
Swampy! That Jazzmaster is so bloody cool Jedd, will have a play with those chords this weekend and hopefully find a melody or two. Keep it rolling mate.
Jedd...just listened to "The Lost Tapes"....I am simply reminded of what a wonderful musician and song writer you are...and WOW what a killer into to the journey of these tunes in "You're My Fire" ! Every tune a wonderful journey into "you" ! Thank you 😊
Thank you for sharing music, Jedd, your broadcasts are much appreciated! Few questions from (still) sunny California, for future videos: - do you teach your kids music or otherwise engage them with what you do -- what's their reaction? - you reference influences from US musicians, but do you have any international music you pick up ideas from (French, Italian, Australian etc)? - do you have plans for shows in SF Bay Area at some point? Thank you! :) PS -- good luck with the kids!! :)
That's a bad ass guitar. That's a bad ass guitar picker!🎉 Sounds great. Put a sassy singer and song to that first progression.😊 Use the second set in a James Bond movie ending.😮 This is one of your TOP 10 vids.❤

You mentioned the movie Paris, Texas a few episodes back, and it struck me dumb that 1) I've been listening to that movie soundtrack for almost 40 years now, and 2) That makes me old AF! The soundtrack is as good as the film and was my introduction to Ry Cooder. Cheers!
Love these videos, and your playing Jedd.... 😉 Not really all that familiar with the difference between them but curious what made you choose a Jazzmaster over a Jaguar ?
Hey that’s a good question. I love the scale length of the Jazzmaster. It’s the longboard of the Fenders ;) Im still looking for a Jaguar I really connect with, I’ve always thought they looked so cool
Great jam Jedd. Dig that tune ❤Love your electric guitar style, tone, and effect usage. It's very dreamy. Nice painterly soundscaping. Cool scary T-shirt on Halloween too.

When I toured with my band in the mid 90s we played a bar there, but I can't remember the name. There was a big patio on the side with a plywood skateboard half-pipe that we used for the stage. That was unique! Cheers man

I have a 1964 Jazzmaster nicknamed 'Magnolia Thunderpuss'. super resonant but heavy alder body. It has the grey bobbin pickups that feel quite different form the earlier 50s black bobbin formvar wire ones. I have always preferred these later pickups but now I am very curious about trying these Ron Ellis 50s Jazzmaster pickups in a build with a light ASH body. I bet the Ash compensates a bit for the darker nature of the 50s pickups.

Haha that ones probably staying close to home but I’ll tell you what really makes that thing work is the semi flatwound set from D’Addario
@JeddHughesOfficial Are you using the 10-46 Half Rounds?
What do you like better about these than the Flatwound?
I've never tried the Semi's.
Yes that’s the set, they are a bit brighter than the full flats and feel a little slinkier
