Oh wow! I found your channel recently and have been binging your videos non-stop, in random order. I had no idea you two had gotten engaged, congratulations!! I love the positive vibes your whole family brings to the table, and the genuine curiosity you have with eating new foods. Small rant but I'm autistic and have always found trying new foods to be a terrifying experience. In the past couple months I've been following your channel, I've been finding myself curious about trying foods that I've previously been scared of. I think watching your constant positivity and willingness to try new things has helped me a lot in that way! (I tried a maraschino cherry for the first time last week!!) Love your videos!
@Amy, I have to say, your parents are super cool! Not only they are super supportive with your work, but also doing all these filming with you, especially your dad, he is amazing! 🎉👏👍 You go dad!
There should be an award for daddy so honest and love to watch his reactions. What attracted me to your channel is you speaking Chinese because I do not
Your dad did such an incredible job choosing these restaurants!! I've have been to that exact restaurant in Eastwood with the seafood platter + goose. So yum!!!!
yayy new video! these last few videos with your parents have been so fun and missed. I remember a couple years ago you made a whole series with them. I can tell both your parents genuinely loves you so much as they respect and encourage your passion- and arent afraid of trying new things! No wonder youre so open-minded and curious!
Your channel is so wonderful and your parents are absolute legends - they are so natural on camera and characters to boot! Love getting to watch you all together. Just great, great stuff! ❤❤❤
Here's a tibbit of lore - Mr Stonepot and Mr Stonebowl are actually two completely different restaurants. Mr Stonebowl came first in Burwood but the couple who ran the joint had an acrimonious breakup, and the wife took the same recipes and opened Mr Stonepot in various other locations including Chatswood and Eastwood. The Mr Stonepot is still there in Chatswood at the ground level of Lemon Grove centre, while the one you went to at Chatswood Interchange is an new expansion of Mr Stonebowl.
Something like this happened in my town too, lol! A couple separated, and the wife got to keep the Mexican restaurant in the divorce, while the husband opened a sports bar down the street (on the same block). Both are very popular!
Your dad is always so excited in these videos, I wish I had a foodie friend like this, because I think I'm the friend that's like your dad. No one is ever as excited as me 😅
For your consideration if this round of merch goes well: the food adventure design from the back of the t-shirt on a tote bag. Would be cute in the red especially.
All day eating! I love the concept and you have your dad to do it with. He's my kind of dad! Yum yum! What finish with that huge platter of seafood! Yummy yum yum!🥰🤩😍
I just absolutely love it whej you do a video with your family! Your dad's dad jokes are always a highlight 😂. You absolutely have his charisma. Looking forward to ur videos as always!
Just a funny tidbit. In that Kowloon cafe at 4:54, you can see a sign that says "聖育強紀念中學“ on top. This refers to the school with the same name in the 1993 movie "Future Cops", which has the same pronunciation as "high sex drive" in Cantonese. Also, Midland Realty is a real company in HK.
Watching your video is like watching a feel good movie. Makes my day! I m smiling now! Thanks to you, your dad n mum for the happy vibes you stir up! 😁
So many things I loved about this video! Your dad’s knowledge and enthusiasm for good Chinese food, a glimpse into all the choices of Chinese restos in/around Sydney, and the great dynamic you have with your dad and mum! It shows how supportive they are of you. Love it. I’ve seen your Instagram but didn’t realize there were full YT videos until now.
I love your parents!!! They are such a joy to watch and they remind me of my parents too...brought tears to my eyes as I miss my parents who are in Singapore, while I am living in the United States. I'd go food hunting with them every time I visit home as well. Looking forward to more food adventures on your channel!!!
I do miss seeing your parents in Australia. They are quite a delight! Why not have a series of video with your parents in China? Or Series with Derk in Australia?
blue rice is made from cooking blue pea vine flowers - its great for changing colors of drinks depending on the PH of the liquid! The plant is easy to grow in the summer - harvest the flowers , eat and dry to use when needed.. Save the seeds to grow the vines next summer, or if your in a tropical place the vine stays growing !
Reminds me of my time studying in Sydney University, usually have meals outside only once every weekend. Some of the more memorable places include a few Malaysian restaurants in Paramatta, Pho in Cabramatta.
Blondie, I noticed that you have had your adventures in Hong Kong 🇭🇰 SAR recently, but you should also bring both your parents to Hong Kong 🇭🇰. I believe they have never been to Hong Kong 🇭🇰 !
Awesome video. I recognised Mr. Stonebowl in Chatswood and the Eastwood restaurants. I can concur that the roast goose at Taste of Shunde is really good!
I recently tried jianging at a farmers market on a trip and oh my goodness it was so good! they served it with a fork and knife but it was much easier to eat just picking it up like a sandwich lol I immediately thought of you and it was the whole reason I tried it in the first place!!
"I love a noodle. I love a surprise noodle. I love when it pops out." Your mom's face after that was priceless.
So was her dads 😂
My fav part of the video 😂
Worth replaying multiple times 😹😹😹
Why what Amy said here is funny?
Your dad is simultaneously the funniest and sweetest guy I've ever seen
Awwwww shucks! Thanks so much
十分認同!~🤣🤣🤣
That enormous seafood platter is definitely a delicious eyeball-grabber. How nice of the lady owner to treat you guys to it! :D
I usually dread content creator merch lines but that design is truly the most darling and wonderful design I've seen on merch in a long time!

I've never bought any merch from youtube before but I think I'll buy a shirt - the branding is awesome and I love the old school font!
Your parents are so cool. Dad def needs his own segment. Also, you should make 'Juicy Little Cracks' and 'Suprise Noodle' shirts lol.
Yes! 😂😂 I'd definitely buy that lol 😎
For your consideration if this round of merch goes well: the food adventure design from the back of the t-shirt on a tote bag. Would be cute in the red especially.
