Chongqing is our favorite city in China. We love it too. It's a city that seems like you're walking on the ground yet you're high in the sky. Chongqing has taken NYC to another level.
We traveled there in March of 2005,. little cooler. Hope you guys have fully recovered from food poisiong and are doing well.

      NYC!?
NYC should only be compared to western cities like London or Paris.
Chinese cities are on whole new level altogether in terms cleanliness, affordable transportations, food galore, people, zero gun crimes, mugging, scammy stuff, accessible 24/7, trying walking alone in other cities with a vlogging camera after midnight and see what happens!

I am a local living in chongqing. chongqing has a total population of 32 million, of which the main urban area has a population of about 20 million. the area of this city is 82,400 square kilometers. not all of the 82,400 square kilometers are urban areas. It is equivalent to the area of austria (83,800 square kilometers).

Wisconsin, USA. If you get some fresh cloves and use stevia (definitely not sugar) to make tea, you’ll probably get some relief from the food poisoning. Can also add ginger. The cloves are anti-microbial. Ginger settles the stomach. Sugar negates the effects; hence the stevia to attenuate the bitterness of the spices.😊

China realized, they nor anyone will ever match western media propaganda, so they have decided to open up, visa free access, so western vloggers, travelers can travel to China easily to see and experience how "oppressed" chinese people really are, only for westerners to realized they themselves have been brainwashed, they are the ones being taxed to death, their countries now have the highest inflation, homelessness, rampant crimes, corruptions and so on.
Nothing is affordable in the west, healthcare, education, transport, housing, food, fuel have all gotten worst with each decade, now it is getting worst every single year. Well at least the still believe they have "freedom and democracy".

Using Google to search and translate daily things is OK, but when it comes to topics such as politics, culture, and economy, it is always biased, especially when translating, there will be very big discrepancies, which will change the meaning of the entire sentence. After all, Google is an American company and is loyal to American interests. This is my experience of using Google for more than ten years.

I heard you guys experienced food poisoning? Be cautious when in Chongqing. For those who aren't used to spicy food, their first day there is often spent struggling in the bathroom. It's not a hygiene issue; it's just that the chili peppers and beef tallow in Chongqing cuisine are adjusting your digestive system.

Gosh the amount of people is insane. Pity you missed the red pandas. I’ve seen one in an Australian zoo which was great because our zoos are very much into natural habitat. They are gorgeous. 👋🏻👋🏻😘

I am so thrilled to see this amazing city. I'm so sorry you both came down with food poisoning. I hope you both got over it quickly even if it took 3 or 4 days. Sucks that it took a portion of your trip. But there is always a second trip to be had. Be safe and thank you for sharing your awesome adventure. On to the next one! Ohh btw, how did taking classes go to learn Chinese? Enjoy!

@@MattandJulia It is not difficult, just have to get a permit via travel agencies, Tibet is less developed due to its high altitude and associated sickness if you're not fit enough could lead to death. That's why, and not because they are afraid of visitors, but having said that, it is not unusual for U$nUK spy agencies or assets to stir up troubles filming using grey lenses like the BBC did, just to portray something sinister going on in Xizang (local name, as opposed to Tibet, a legacy of British colonialism).
