So the Haidilao in downtown Toronto was not open yet in summer but I finally got to go today! Flew from Calgary to visit my daughter and we walked there and walked right into heaven! We were both Newbies to Hotpot and were the only non-Asians it seemed like. I usually am not like this but I almost felt like I was infected by you and talked with as much excitement as I see with you in your videos. The waiter was from Guangzhou (if I remember right) and was so happy to answer our questions and help us learn. I asked to have some of his favourites included because I wanted to play it safe yet, try new stuff. Everything was sooo good and just like I saw it in your video. In the end he even gave us fried buns (golden manitou?) with condensed milk as a gift (so yummy). We were so full in the end but so content! A great experience that we would have not had, if not for your videos!. Thank you! Oh, and we had Binfeng! I agree with you, it is so good! So much new stuff I have learned about Chinese food!
Look exactly like the one in houston, texas too. Including the same robotLol they must used the exact design on how the restaurant looks from chairs and table all over the world. Im surprised they try to make the same design like where it originated and to Australia to america
Robots are found in many places in China ... especially restaurants, hospitals, universities and places that need manual tasks. For ports and factories, itz another version ( the heavy duties ). Singapore is going in the same direction too.
Being able to be together with parents, with ypur family is such a fansinating thing, maybe the best thing in the world, especially when they are getting seniorer and seniorer. I am feeling so sweet watching your family enjoying your life. And also, I am missing my parents so much. I have not been able to back home for 3 years now, can only see my parents via video calls. Missing them so much, wish to be able to accompany them before they are getting even aged.

I am super excited about Haidilao because I have been wanting to try out hot pot but wanted to make the right choice about a restaurant. I live in Calgary, Canada and saw there was a Haidilao in Toronto, where my daughter lives. It is not exactly close to her place so that was disappointing BUT, I just saw they are going to open another location in Toronto this month IN WALKING DISTANCE to her place! I will be in Toronto with my two teenagers in August! So glad that they are opening up a Haidilao 'just for me' (it seems like)! We will go there! So exciting! I also love your relationship with your parents and how at ease you seem with each other! And they raised such a wonderful daughter! Your father tried his best to perform a noodle dance, Miss Amy, the noodles are really dancing and trimmed into thin. Moreover, your parents really enjoyed their hotpot meal in Haidilao (海底撈). Even I haven't tried it yet, still able to try a small portion from an instant version of their hotpot.

I first started watching your TH-cam because I was meant to move to china with my mum however COVID-19 happened. I was trying to learn about Chinese language courses in china because that’s what I wanted to do when I moved to Beijing/ Shanghai. But now I’ve built a life here in Sydney meeting my partner here. I still watch you videos because it makes me so happy. I love how you embrace the culture and share your experiences. Bonus your parents are amazing. They are so open and warm. They are up for anything and such a joy to watch.
Watching this and your other hot pot videos has made me decide to go for hot pot with my dad this weekend. I live in Shanghai, Haidilao here is like always filled with customers even after midnight. I think it's a great place to be not just for the food, but also just to feel better after stressful days of work.
