    I love this content. It's such a breathe of fresh air to watch a Toyota owner willing to admit that another marque actually has some merit and reason to exist. Such a change from other TH-camrs I could mention, which I have long ago ceased watching. Yes please, customer rides are great. It doesn't matter the marque, Toyota, Nissan, Mitsubishi, Landrover, anything. I love your style of presentation and your open-minded approach.

    I'd like to see a customers car that has a fault that you investigate, trace the problem and show how you fixed it. Or day in the life on a random day in the workshop. Meet the team in the workshop. Great video of the defender.

    Yes, more customer cars and rides please?
    I started my 4x life in a series 111, 109 wagon converted from a van with the 2 1/4L petrol, slow as a wet wik, I know they have a bit of a bad rap, but I loved that thing and it never left me standing (or walking :)) have some good memories from that time. 110s, as I know them, are an iconic vehicle with lots of character. Never boring.

    If anyone was wondering but it looks so factory fit because it practically is. Ashcrofts kit is modelled after the factory land rover automatic version that was found in the north american spec vehicles in the 80s or 90s I don't remember which.

    Hi. I'v got a stage one land rover it's the start off the 110. I'v put a 3.9 v8 with automotive out off the older range rover. That thing really gose. Very easy to fit. As the stage one came out with the 3.5 v8 so to fit that in was just making one gearbox mount and change front prop to a standard prop I love the truck. But a friend of mine hit a car with it. So now need a new shasise and a few other bits. Don't no when I'm going to get back on the road. Because I have a really bad back know can hardly drive. Great video . From Andy in UK

    I would love to see some of the auto upgrades you have for all the different 4x4s we drive. I'm getting the Nomad Valve Body, Alloy pan, Lock up Kit and extra trans cooler on my MQ Triton (work done at Wholesale Autos of course!) in January and all my mates want to know what's involved and how it's done so they might get the same done to their 4x4s. Content like that is not only really interesting, but also great for anyone who hasn't yet decided whether or not it would be good for their 4x4. Bring it on!
    Love your vids, unique and interesting content!

    Great vid, mate and I both had 110's in the 90's. His had hand controls and electronic clutch conversation to suit his disability. Noisy n cluncky they were back then old 2.5 TDi wasn't the best but, we had some great fun and got my mate into places he couldn't have gone otherwise. Unfortunately due to inconsiderate people, most areas now off limits, even with quads and there ain't no way he could walk them even if he wanted. Also get to see you using a Product from a Company you have me th nod on a few weeks ago 👍

  • @stephenwilliamson4556

    I’d love to see some transmission dissections.
    We used to have a Ford Territory that lost all its transmission fluid and destroyed itself, I would have loved to pull it apart and had a look inside, but the old transmission just got taken away I’m assuming for remanufacture.
    The Auto transmission is a bit of a “magic box” and it’d be great to demystify it a bit.

  • @cameronwood1994
    @cameronwood1994 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    The reason why the centre console looks so factory is that it's a direct copy of the 1997 North American-spec (known as NAS) and 50th Anniversary Defender 90 console, which were the only two production Defenders to have an automatic gearbox from the factory. Most people just use a Discovery 1 or 2 gearbox and gear shifter, as the V8/Tdi/Td5 engine ranges were shared between the models and therefore largely bolt-in fitments.

      You can but far more difficult as the engine has no way of giving us an accurate torque load at any given time. We will have something far more advanced late this year but the 4 speed is 100% reliable but with 4 gears very tall in 1st and 2nd gears.
