Bull Elephant enraged to find pack of Wild Dogs at the Bush House waterhole

- At 5:15 a.m. on 30th November 2016 a pack of Wild Dogs killed a Kudu against the fence at the Bush House watering hole in Madikwe.
90 minutes later they had stripped the carcass and dragged the remains away from the fence. The pack is divided - some are still eating, others resting with full stomachs. A solitary bull elephant wandered up to the waterhole, drank and charged the pack.
I like how he looked straight at the cameraman as if to say "And YOU better watch yourself too!"
Hahha 😂🤣
Respect
Yes he sure did.
Yep. There, for a moment. I wouldn't have wanted to be the camera man. I think he was feeling his oats, and letting everyone know he was the real boss. As big as he was, I think someone had cut his tusks a couple of years before this.
Why do humans try to guess what the elephant is thinking.
No matter how angry, an elephant just can't stop being the most adorable thing lol
Which is odd b/c they seem to always be up in a tiffy about something.
@@bennypit4411 I think they like to show who's boss. :)
@@skaruts Anything that size is boss-no dispute there. Let alone dogs, a pride of lions would scatter and run
Every living free bull, who is becoming of age, is a good sign and sends hope throughout the world.
He has been clever enough to outwit the (scum of the universe) poachers for many years. I hope he will manage to stay alive
and lead a good elephant life for many many more years, and that others will too.
It looks like his tusks were cut to prevent poachers from killing him for them, in much the same way that they dehorn rhinos for the same reason. I’m not sure but if you look closely his tusks are kind of short for his age and they’re jagged at weird angle as well
He is also missing the tip of his tail . . .🤔
H3 knows the wild dogs have tried to take babies or a injured or old elephant. He is in his prime and so beautiful.
They Ellie’s look so beautiful amid the landscape .
@gothivore277
You can’t actually cut elephants tusks without harming them. This is just a younger individual
Just noticed how graceful this big guy is and how he hardly makes any noise in his movements. That honking is unbelievable. It would scare the bejesus out of me.
It's amazing to see the elephant use his trunk as a spray-hose to frighten away intruders. That being said, he's absolutely _huge._
They pick up decent size tree limbs as well, and hurl them at other animals,
@@zwigoma2 I do that too, when I'm in Africa
It was risky just dipping his trunk in the water like that though, there could have been crocodiles there
@@abhignavijjapurapu209 well if a crocodile got hold of it then it would have been GG for the elephant
@@KARTIKEYA007 there is plenty of videos that show what happens when a croc grabs an elephants trunk. Let's just say the croc let's go 99% of the time lol

@@you-cf7df Is this a joke?? because if this is real i don't know what to feel 😭 Damn these poachers, hunters, and killers. Why can't they stop killing these beautiful creatures.
@@maltrix6906 Because they’re heartless psychopaths who suffer from tiny wiener disease. And that’s pretty much why. Just look at trumps rotten offspring who were pictured carrying around an elephants tail after they “bravely” murdered the magnificent creature from a very safe distance using a high powered scoped rifle. Any asshole with money and lacking a conscious can do that. I’ve already accepted the fact that because of rich entitled idiots and poachers all of the animals are doomed to extinction. 😡🖕🏼

I have no words for how beautiful he is! Seeing this in person would have left me speechless! Absolutely magnificent animal!!! 😘 Love him so much! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🙏🏼❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ Please respect these beautiful elephants and all animals!!!
I have been there, done that. When an elephant runs the earth moves!
Hunters are the TRUE conservationists. Not only that, but millions of dollars goes into habitat conservation funds because of hunters' money. In 1996 alone in the U.S.A. alone hunters' license fees, duck stamps, and tags put $900 million into funds used for habitat, conservation, and enforcement (catching poachers), that same year in the U.S. hunters spent $23 BILLION on hunting gear and trips. In South Africa and other countries all the local communities receive huge amounts of fees and the meat from hunts.

What a fabulous animal, even the other animals seems to be watching him in awe.
No, I think they just want some water while he's there so lion's or other predators stay away
No other animal is impressed
@@prehistoriccreature1800 Any footage or proof of this ever happening to a healthy male lion?
Prehistoric Creature Lions may tackle an adult only very rarely. When the pride is together to help they may try to take down an orphan elephant calf, but only humans are their main predator. Adults elephants have no predators to speak of, but man. Young may be attacked by lions, but usually the adults in the herd are too vigilant to allow a lion close approach. On rare occasions, prides may take down an adult, but this takes the entire pride to accomplish, and many may die in the attempt. Note that an elephant can even take down 7 attacking lions in a large pride by charging and crushing them to death. One lion cannot kill an elephant due to the elephant's thick skin, muscles, and size. Are 10 lions good enough to kill a bull elephant. Unless the bull is injured or sick, no. An elephant has thick hide and would trample the lions to death.
@@deemariedubois4916
Pretty much everything you said is false and made up. Elephant Muscles are proportionally nothing against the Lions'.
We don't need an entire pride to take one down, let alone die. It has been proven that Lions can crush the spine of any creature on Earth, so an elephant would be no problem. Even in a Herd, 4 Male Lions can take down the elephant while the Lionesses scare off the rest of the herd. It's easy if you know what to do

He's amazing. He's keeping that waterhole safe for the wildebeest and zebra and birds. As long as that big boy is around they can drink in safety.
He's shooing everyone out lol
I think he doesn’t care for the wildebeest or the zebras either. Elephants can be very territorial when it comes to watering holes. He’s shooing everyone regardless of whether they are carnivore or herbivore.
Elephants are not great sharers of waterholes, other animals tend to keep away from them. They’re not averse to even trample on birds either.

A real, magnificent elephant. He is trying to clear the place of wild dogs so that the wildebeest and zebras can drink. He is trying to waterboard them! The wild dogs look so tiny. I wonder how tall the bull is, may be 11 feet? Any guesses?

Elephants can run faster then you think and those dogs know it. They just wanted to eat what they killed and beat it out of there. The Elephant was not having any of it. Sure it wasn't a wildebeest they killed? I'm just trying to figure out the wildebeest trying to chase the wild dog's away from the carcass? They say that Elephant's hate the smell of a kill, and try and chase anything away from it...AWESOME video btw!
Jen Bausick no, it was a Kudu, they chased it and it was trapped against the sunken fence between the lodge and the waterhole. We saw the carcass clearly, they dragged it into the open later. All the game, including the Wildebeest came for their daily visit to the hole and were retreating from the dogs until the 🐘 stirred things up.
