for other world sake also use Ft. not just meters/inches
Humanity needs those tiny elephants as pets
I would love him and squeeze him and take him home and name him George.
Lucky the ancient species that missed mankind
I believe a better representation of the size comparison could have been done with an average size man walking along from the smallest to the largest to show size and scale.
Yes!
The scale was terrible, why bother. The growth of the elephants of the same size said it all
“That still only counts as one!”
😂😂
Lotr reference
I saw the thumbnail and briefly thought this was some extended biology of the mümakil before I read the title
Underrated comment!
Never knew there were so many little elephants, didn’t realize how many extinct species we’d discovered either
If not elephants trunks, I didn’t believe half of them were elephants
they were pre-historic elephants.
Fascinating and enjoyable with the sound turned off.
yeah....that music.....that was wretched.....I turned it off too
Yep..🧐
and 2x speed
I love elephants
Elephants are big.
Damn right they are
3:33 this basket ball player is 4.5 ft. Unbelievable!!!
Fun fact, deinotherium fought at the Battle of Pelennor Fields.
nope, that was oliphaunt
I remember seing them all , a long time ago .
Yep, once I had that 4th one as my oet for a year. He was very gentle.
Dates of existence would have been very informative- maybe a re edited re upload could be done.
yes.. that's what i thought as well. Would be nice to know when they were alive.
Definitely
The size of the human is inaccurate
Oui
According to the 1 m elephant, the human must be 2,5 meters bigger than any NBA player 😂
Your missing my old crush
💀
DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMMMMMNNNN!!!!!!
👋Привет
Land whales are in another category
This was a mammoth undertaking.
i actually want to adopt the tiny elephants, sad they got extinct cause tiny elephants are so adorable 😭
I feel worried about the humans standing between the elephants. Lmao 😂
There's no danger unless the elephant is in musth and wants to fight another elephant and you are standing between them. In that case, you are squashed meat walking.
Where's Lizzo?
Did she couldn't fit on the frame
lmao
Factcheck: TRUE
I'd like to bring back the pygmy mammoth please.
Sri lankan elephants ❤️❤️😇
Humankind is not ready for the cuteness of tiny elephants OMG 😭😭
The desk elephant in Zorg's office in the 5th Element would be cool
Right. They hunted them until extinction.
I'd want to adopt a lot of the smaller ones.
Sumatran elephant is NOT African elephant please research what is Sumatran elephants it’s an Asian Elephant from Sumatran Indonesia
Basic form of elephants has remained unchanged for millions of years seemingly
i found mastodon molars in my creek, donated them to a museum and never heard another word lol I live in Central Texas.
yes. ancient elephants still look like modern elephants
Evolution is a lie that's why, it's just speciation (specialization), adaptation and genetic recombination all working on an existing robust genome within various created kinds. Every so called transitional forms are pure speculation requiring enormous coincidences of beneficial mutations which by definition are blind, random and deleterious.
Great video! Never know ancient elephants were that big!
Amazing range of species, never heard of half of them, where is all this information stored? Delightful video, rousing music and great visuals. Excellent.
Какие причудливые слоники!
Ооо наши слоны!
African elephant's Big
What is astonishing is the very little evolution in comparison with human species....
You're missing palaeoloxdon falconeri, another small prehistoric elephant.
Good video.
Some looks scary, yet those little ones are really cute 🐘.
Love the touch with the Beverly Hills Cop @ 0:24
POV: You’re Luffy 6:44
You forgot the Elephant from Lord of the Rings
Elephant.history
People don’t realize this but even small dwarf yet tusked elephants were capable of killing a human. Their mass and tusk combined and you’re dealing with a wild boar with bigger tusks just one that can’t bite and a bit slower. Definitely less dangerous than a modern day elephant dangerous nonetheless.
Full size elephants can run at 40 km/h, wouldn’t the tiny ones be even faster? 🤯🤯🤯
@@truskoysusaventuras no, large elephants are fast because with each step they cross over a meter. Small elephants have smaller feet. But biomechanically move their feet at the same frequency and speed but cover less ground. So they’re actually much slower than a large elephant. Same thing with humans. Look at all the track athletes they have proportionately longer legs than power lifters. They’re also taller than average and have smaller torsos but bigger lower mass by comparison. It’s not only exercise but also genetics. It doesn’t matter how much a powerlifting champion losses weight and starts focusing on sprinting their femurs won’t grow longer. There are many hard working people dreaming of becoming strongman and track athlete champions. But due to lacking the genetics for it no amount of exercise or technique or dieting or steroids will put them anywhere near the top 100.
Our ancestors were quick at throwing javelins into the face of everything, and at that size a good hit could be life threatening, so small elephants were probably very shy.
the important thing is not to get to worried about how dangerous they were, we should appreciate that they existed and they had to do what was necessary to survive at the time. Like Humans...
Pretty amazing creatures!!
Imagine if all elephants species was been thrown in the Jurrasic, they will outcompete the dinos.
No
Bigger ones maybe that if they can eat the plants at that time.
@@nicholashoward971, Even Elephants can't reproduce to much, they are voracious eater, they will wipe out the vegetations in that place in an instant.
So the dinos will having a hard time with elephants, even elephants are not flexible, they are fast and smarter.
@nicholashoward971 Which period? Would be the actual question. Infact Elephants would likely be a reduced to fossils in a few Mya in the Jurassic being outcompeted by nearly everything(Yes there was even sauropod eating therapods like Saurophaganax. Also I doubt if we can truly be certain that Elephants would really be able to contest late Jurassic herbivores because it would require unnaturally quick evolution and adaption.
@@DirtPutHandle I’m talking the big elephants like paleaodoxon. Not modern elephants. However, it’s most likely they would be gone in a few millions of years due to breeding patterns of large mammals.they would most likely fail. The only way they survive if they can get a lot of babies in a short time which isn’t happening.
Wish these types of videos had the time frames they lived.
Nice.
You should add the time, in there the elephants live.
Phospatherium is cute. ^^ And the oldest.
The really smallest is not shown here. It's Eritherium with 8 kilograms weight.
i found mastodon molars in my creek, donated them to a museum and never heard another word lol I live in Central Texas.
Caseoh evolution
Im not sure your sizes are correct max Mammut height was 4m
Classic whooly mammoth of 10.000 years ago was less tall than african bull elephant, probably around 3.5m
But the paeloxodon nomadicus was really 5m and must ve been amazing
3ft tall elephant....take all my money I have to have one
Mammuthus cretivus actually looks like a little elephant
kind of pointless if it doesn't indicate the time period when each evolutionary stage was present; or if they are current, or how they may have overlapped.
Better luck/job next time.
Look sir an Oliphant!
Clickbait 😂
When did elephants become zunesha fro one piece
lol weeb
but serously are you that brain dead cause im thinking this is a joke
Bro at 3:30 is ready to shoot some hoops with those elephants!
Hello, the German/European Mammut was perhaps 5m or Tallier, it’s perhaps the Biggest int World, att perhaps habitablest Region, their another Plate ist Small and Northamerika is Smaller too, perhaps.
great visuals; terrible background music(?) noise.
I like how they use a black guy because, Africa😅
4:53❤🇱🇰
Anyone here familiar with the "Elephant size comparison" with a guy walking beside the elephants and a banger music added to it? Or just the name of that song? It's one that was unfortunately taken down.
The small elephants are here.
Deinotherium was not 5 meters tall
A deino was like the sane size as an elephant
@@killemall3702 yeah you right... same size or just little more
and for the small austrolopitecus was sure a massive nightmare
scary ass elephant
No, I don't believe it can be that tall.

Ver un paleoexodon de cerca debe haber sido un momento inolvidable...
Agrégale que los "humanos" de ese tiempo eran bajitos.
Ima fine if zunesha was here

I'm not seeing anyone mention the background elephant from 4:00 onwards and it's driving me crazy
I like this
Wow
Very Nice:))
imaginate tener de mascota un elefante enanito😍
It would have been even better with a time period under the size.
Missed the oliphaunt/mûmak.
TH-cam: I’llbehonest The Few
I never knew people were so small.
Nice music
Wasted the oportunity to use the "baby elefant walk" song.
#elephent
Too few humans to really understand proportions
They smaller than I thought
I would like to have a dog-sized pet elephant!
Humans on extinct animals- 😍
Endangered species about to be extinct- 🥱
Where are the Mûmakil?
Realising the Stegodon (5:25) was actually HUGE compared to Homo floresiensis who hunted them as they were only 1.05m tall. This whole time i had this image in my head that Homo floresiensis hunted pygmy elephants that were only a litte taller than them.. nope. Thats the same as us sapiens hunting nearly fully-grown asian elephants regularly.
I thought the columbian mammoth skeleton was extremely large at 13 ft imagine 18 ft and with flesh of the biggest one here, they ruled after the dinos!
notice how they did not compare any of them to Shaq, they used Spud Webb
Zunesha
It would be nice when you also wrote when the lived
ЭТОТ ЗА ОДНОГО СЧИТАЕТСЯ!))))
2:15 в мультфильме ледниковый период мамонтиха тусовалась с опоссумами -так вот *archaeobelodon filholi* потомок)))
Mumakil / Oliphaunt ?
Zunesha entered the chat...
Oui
After the tree size video I don't trust any of these anymore.
Zunesha = 10.000 m
А где_же крупнейший из элефантов_архидискодон императорикуус..
*oliphants of Harad: 1°
Теперь я всё знаю про слонов!
This scale is ridiculous.
Первые такие добрые они сделают мой день 😂. А предпоследний я его боюсь 😢
The tallest was the last one but was taller
It was about 17-18ft at the shoulder
有些大象鼻子好短😱😱
No Elephant Shrew?
There's more... The last one is the elephant from lord of the rings
You forgot about the NASA elephant .
