WIDOW VS ANA STORY: ana recognized widowmaker after shooting off her helmet and seeing her face, she recognized her as the missing wife of an old friend and hesitated but since widowmaker (best and most tragic backstory out of all of them) had been brainwashed, she shot through Ana's scope and into her eye. (I'm trying not to spoil widowmaker's backstory but it's kinda in the name)
This is also likely why she ultimately fakes her death. She understands that Talon is willing to target the families of Overwatch agents to get at them. She went stayed off the grid so they'd never try to turn Fareeha (Pharah) into whatever Amelie had become.
In game if you catch fire as Ana or I think get a shutdown with Pharah on your team, Pharah will say, “Mom you’re amazing” also if you sleep Pharah mid ult, she says “I think Justice can use a little nap” and it’s so cute

After countless attempts on Gerard's life, Tallon (the bad guys) decided to take a different approach. They kidnapped Amelie, brain washed her, and made her a sleeper agent before letting Overwatch rescue her. She would then kill Gerard in his sleep before returning to Tallon to be their lead assassin. Ana did shoot at Widowmaker, who at the time was wearing a standard Tallon sniper uniform, destroying her helmet (revealing her face). At that moment Ana realised who she was up against and hesitated at the thought of killing one she once called a friend. Amelie, not knowing Ana and now being severely pissed, shoots Ana in the eye THROUGH her scope, leaving shrapnel in Ana's eye with the intent to leave her to a slow painful death. As we know, Ana, however, subsequently survived and took up the mantel of the Shrike, and continued to carry out assassinations from the grave.

Ana shot first, and was shooting to kill, but her shot only cracked Widowmaker's helmet. Then when she recognized Widowmaker as Amelie Lacroix, wife of the murdered Gerard Lacroix, she hesitated in shock. Widowmaker returned fire and it took out Ana's eye.

What happened is basically Ana landed her first shot it was a really cool ricochet but it just took out Widow’s helmet then Ana could see her face and recognized her as the wife of Gerard lecroaix (I totally spelled that wrong) and it caused her to hesitate for just a second and it gave Widowmaker the edge she shot her through het sniper scope and out her right eye
Another fun video, guys! Along with these origin stories you should consider including the gameplay trailer for the specific heroes! They only take a minute and don't add much to the story, so they probably wouldn't warrent a full reaction video by themselves, but I think they would be nice a supplement to the origin story, to show off the different abilities and voice lines. They also met Mercy and Ana said that Angela should join new Overwatch even when she wanted to keep it illigal. Then they're split and Mercy is in Zero Hour cinematic. The End.

Widow was brainwashed so she didn’t recognize her and shot her in the eye without hesitation.
This was right after widow killed her husband and Ana was good friends with Gerard and Amelie so she couldn’t kill Amelie and hesitated. Amelie or widow maker did not “killing Ana”.

Then she had hesitated but her enemy not and Ana was badly hurt. In hospital they offered her eye surgery but she denied it and wanted to keep it as a lesson. Everyone thought that she was dead and she returned into Cairo to have an eye on her daughter Pharah and keep safe this city. She has stolen a Mercy's biotic technology and now she uses it for herself. Then she meet Soldier-76 (Jack Morrison) and Reaper (Gabriel Reyes) she found out that they're still alive too and decided to support Soldier in hunting for a reaper. They also met Mercy and Ana said that Angela should join new Overwatch even when she wanted to keep it illigal. Then they're split and Mercy is in Zero Hour cinematic. The End.

There is a digital comic on the Overwatch-Homepage, called Legacy, that explains why Ana did in fact hesitate to shoot, not miss, Widowmaker. There are actually quite a few comics, none of them bad, some adding lore, some adding depth to characters.
So... i think widow hasn’t got an origin story, so Widow’s name is Amelie Lacroix, wife to Gerard Lacroix, who was a very goodOverwatch Ally, one day she was kidnapped & brainwashed (by Talon) and when she was taken back to her home and killed Gerard in his sleep, she was later on used for experiments like reducing her heart beat so she can be more accurate with her shots but thats why her skin is blue/purple ish
Widowmaker / Ana backstory:
Widowmaker, formerly known as amelie lacroix was married to Gerard Lacroix, an overwatch intel agent in charge of dealing with talon. Talon couldnt get to him so they kidnapped his wife and brainwashed her. Amelie was later “rescued” but she ended up killing her husband in his sleep and returned to Talon. She was trained as a sniper and her heartbeat was slown down turning her skin blue. The brainwashing has left her emotionless.
Ana Probably knew Amelie from her time with overwatch and hesitated to take the shot for just a second, where Emotionless widowmaker didnt.
Ana has always protected others. She Joined Overwatch to Protect those who could not defend themselves. and even after the accident, She decided to continue the fight. as Reinhardt says in game, "I will never give up the fight!" That applies to Ana and Soldier.
Widowmaker is the brainwashed wife of an Overwatch officer Gerard Lacroix, that killed him after a team "rescued" her from Talon hence the name Widowmaker, and that's why Ana couldn't take the shot.

Widowmaker was the wife of an overwatch agent, but she was kidnapped, brainwashed, and turned into a super sniper by Talon. So Ana knew Widowmaker.

The reason why ana got shot first was because ana hesitated to shoot widowmaker because ana knew amelie lacroix (widowmaker) and then widowmaker shot ana's scope
Idk if this would be spoilers so fair warning- Widowmaker (before being brainwashed by Talon) was married to a man working with Overwatch who was close to Ana and the rest of the gang. After Widow was brainwashed, Ana had her in her sights in a mission and shot her helmet off, revealing Widow’s face and quickly recognized her which made her hesitate to shot. Widow was brainwashed so she didn’t recognize her and shot her in the eye without hesitation.
This was right after widow killed her husband and Ana was good friends with Gerard and Amelie so she couldn’t kill Amelie and hesitated. Amelie or widow maker did not “killing Ana”.
Ana didn’t shoot because widowmaker was good before but brainwashed by talon (a bad organization) to assassinate her husband, and that’s why Ana couldn’t shoot one of her lost and closest friends (widowmaker)

Because widow has been brainwashed by talon slowing and speeding up her heart rate (why her skin was blue) she didnt hesitate to take the shot and destroy Ana's eye. I believe everyone things shes dead atm.

You guys should look up Widowmakers lore there’s no origin story for her buts it’s really tragic.
A little post origin lore about Ana. After the fall of Overwatch she becomes a mercenary type character and focuses on healing her partners. She learns that Soldier 76 is waging a one man war and realizes he sounds a lot like Jack Morrison. She goes to find him and the two of them work together. Both of them thought to be dead by the outside world
Y'all should watch a highlight reel of some of the best players like the mvp's of overwatch league or something when you've finished the origin stories. I'd love to see that
So Widows husband was in the overwatch team and talon wanted to eliminate him so they kidnapped and brainwashed her (Widow) to kill him for them. And Ana trained Widow so thats why she (probably) hasitated to shoot her, they were rly close.

Yeah Ana hesitated when she saw Widow, someone she once knew. It wouldn't be fair to say better sniper wins. Ana trained alot of people to shoot like Mcree and widow

Technically you did see hints of her, she was in the group photo in zero hour (also that seat you attributed to pharah was hers) and she was in the poster in Hero.
You need to read into widows back story it’s tragically sad which is why Ana hesitated

I just realized that ana lost her shooting eye, the eye she uses to look down the sights. She has to lean over her gun to aim with her left eye when she is right-handed.
