- Worst Team for Johto. This worst team series was really popular and I am glad you guys enjoyed it! But here we are again with the worst team for Johto Gold Silver and Crystal Edition. I am pretty much going to be doing all these worst team videos in the order of the original best team series so. Pokemon Gold and Silver has some of the worst Pokemon in these games and on top of that too with the physical special split being super prominent in this generation most Pokemon are going to suck more in general. Not to mention a lot of Pokemon are also stripped of really moves in this gen due to their lack of great movepools on the majority of pokemon. So these Pokemon are going to suck. This will probably be the worst team of worst teams that I will ever make because most Pokemon in gen 2 just have really horrible movesets anyways. But before I go over what Pokemon are going to be on this worst team let's get into what a worst team is.

They meant the actual poison type. The only type that poison was good against prior to gen 6 was grass, and thats it. There was literally no point in adding a *PURE* poison type.
@@sotrue4436 poison type isn't terrible, defensively speaking though. Sure being weak to ground and psychic ain't great, but both of those types have types that are immune to it, so there are two free switch ins on the table.
Jumpluff is the fastest and most reliable sleep inducer in 2nd gen. Why not Sleep Powder instead of Toxic/Poison Powder? After all, it doesn’t have enough defense for that. However, it is great supporter with Leech Seed and Sleep Powder.

Yes!!! I love Jumpluff and there's always room for it on my team. I think sleep powder/leech seed is how it was intended. I just wish it got a flying type move in this generation to take on fighting types.

I used poison powder and leech seed because I otherwise couldn’t damage anything on my playthrough. Not until mega drain.

I've actually done a solo Furret before on Crystal version. It got overleveled, but it was pretty fun beating the game with it.
Pokemon Crystal was my first pokemon game, I didn't even know what to do but I cleared the game with just Typhlosion alone, boi was I in love with the game.
I'm doing a solo Sentret right now haha. Way overlevelled, but Bruno is kicking my butt.

Foretress shouldnt be that bad, its quite physically bulky. Sneasel is too late game mon to be considered, i guess. You are right with the rest tho
Ledian is actually good with meteor punch and Forretress is very good bc of spikes and explosion and the Bug / Steel. All the rest are just bad in gen 2 xd

I used a jumpluff on my crystal team and it won me my battle against lance by using sleep powder and leech seed to drain his last dragonites health, with that said it was easily my weakest Pokémon but still has a place in my heart

I used hypno in firered because i couldn't evolve kadabra, never hated any pokemon that much.

I once beat a level 18 tentacool in Crystal with level 2 dunsparce by spamming rage (did it for the lulz)
I was definitely expecting Ledian, Ariados and Dunsparce in this list.
Regardless of that, pretty nice video, love to see Corsola on a team after Misty on the anime.

Hypno helped me enough on the first gen, it was the only psychic you could get to win elite four. On gen 2 it sucks because a wild espeon appeared.

Furret with Curse is actually a crazy wild card Pokémon that can really tear through unprepared UU teams specifically.
That whole introduction just killed me inside because of how much I love gen 2 😂
As someone who nuzlocked Crystal with only grass types, I STRONGLY disagree with putting Jumpluff here. The lack of stab makes it hard to grind, sure, but the core strategy of leech seed/sleep powder/headbutt/synthesis with its high speed humiliates a lot of bosses. This thing even took out Lance's Charizard and one of his Dragonites.
Brown Cow I second this! I was trying to make my own worst pokemon run before this video came and Jumpluff saved my life many times with its quick Sleep Powders
To be honest, you don't need a Grass type in Gen 2. Who is the worst Grass Type? Gotta rethink whole team
Talking GSC, I'd say either Tangela for its bad movepool, or Parasect for just being bad altogether.

I find it funny because I once did an honest to god run of the OG GSC with jumpluff, arbok, hypno and furret. The only difference is that I had a typhlosion and a vaporeon but i don't remember those two carrying the team that much, i might have just been over leveled though, who can say?

Furett I used, he was fine plus pick up in Soul Silver.
I used Jumpluff in Colosseum dude. He ended helping me get Shadow Metagross. Not all trash elsewhere Mystic Umbreon

Yes. I used it in my 2nd playthrough of Heart Gold and it was one of the more useful pokemon on my team because of poison powder and synthesis.
I used it there too and it was an MVP for catching Shadow Pokemon with its speed and Sleep Powder. And i also had Slugma on my team, so i could see what a real loser looks lile...

Playing Silver as a kid when it was new, I remember finding a Hoppip and thinking "Oh, shit, this guy knows Splash. That means he's going to evolve into something good."

But jumpluff does have a good niche with sleep powder, leech seed, mega drain to stall. You just gotta use it right.
Stall has no place in story playthroughs, why the hell can’t the competitive tards turn their minds off that gameplay format for one second?

I used Arbok in my first Soul Silver playthrough along with a Persian (who I named Pikachu). Using them was really rough at first but they eventually grew to be powerful members of my team. I’m proud of them

I’m glad you like Meganium. It’s my favorite Pokémon. It was my first ever Pokémon I started out with. So I have a connection to it. Crystal was my first Pokémon game. I started with the GBA but bought a GBC game and played on the GBA. Then bought sapphire.

Mystic: Corsola may never be good but it's always welcome on these worst teams.
Galar: Allow me to fix that.
Mistake when you were listing Corsola's moveset, it learns Harden via level up, not Defense Curl. Also, you should use Totodile against the early game rock types.
Sunflora is 1000% worse than jumpluff trust me.

I tried seeing if this team (with an altered moveset of course) would work in the remakes, but then I realized one important fact. None of these Pokémon can learn Rock Climb. Meaning this team can never reach Red. 😓

I've always liked Arbok. I use it on most my playthroughs. Bite and dig helps a lot. Not being able to be poisoned is awesome since there are a poison types in the game. Moves I use is bite, dig, headbutt and glare
So I want to do this, but only with Johto guys, I’m kinda bummed your list had so many Kanto guys. So far I’ve got:
Furret, Jumpluff, Delibird, Corsala, Girafarig (replacing Hypno as the bad psychic) but I can’t find a good (bad) 6th. I would have wanted Ariados, but I’m playing Silver. Can anyone give me a good (bad) Johto replacement for Arbok that isn’t late game? Shuckle is kinda situational so idk if they’d be good or bad?
I think the only good thing about Jumpluff is it possibly the Pokémon to put the legendary dogs to sleep. It’s can use sleep powder which is have better accuracy than hypnosis and Jumpluff is faster then Entei and Suicune (Raikou is faster with a base stat of 115 and Jumpluff have a baes stat of 110 so it’s need to level 42 or 43 to the faster then Raikou). I always use Jumpluff to catch the legendary Dogs.
I was able to make good use of Hypno in my Leaf Green Nuzlocke. Then again, in Gen 3 it gets Calm Mind.
I managed to use it in Yellow, it was quite the powerhouse, actually.
I finally found someone whose favorite poison type is also Arbok 😍 Seviper and Arbok are my absolute favorite regardless of how weak they made them in the games

In my Pokémon SoulSilver Wedlocke Jumpluff and Corsola were the pair who defeated Lance and Red.
For the worse team I could think you wouldn't want any synergy with your team.
Like using both sunflora and jumppluff on the team and have a major weakness to fire, ice, and flying, I'd say stick to that to truly make the worse team.

I’m trying this team out on Crystal right now & I’m really enjoying it. However I hit a little snag. My Furret could not learn Rock Smash. I think I’ll just go for Dynamic Punch.
I'm running a Jumpluff on my current run of Crystal and you're right - besides it's speed to get off some leech seeds and poisonpowders, it was usually annoying to use but it wasn't terrible - as I did end up transferring over Giga Drain from another save I had just to give a move with some actual damage, and even then it's PP holds it back 😑 there's not much winning with Jumpluff in this generation

I just beat gold and I used a Corsala with ancient power against Lance's dragonites abosloutly destroyed them
As someone who's used Jumpluff through Crystal twice, yeah, it's definitely ass. However, it destroys Red's Snorlax and Blastoise so at least it paid dividends in the final battle lmao
