Eevee gets Bite as soon as you obtain it in Hearthome City. You can either take on Fantina with Flareon for an easier time, or use Eevee if you want to bank on the Ghost Immunity.
Normal types fare well with Ghosties, right? Taking on Fantina now and I'm preparing a team that could go toe to toe with her.

I think Bastiodon could’ve had some use in gen 8, since it has so massive defence it could’ve been great with Body Press.

I cannot believe they made Bastiodon so fricking weak in his attack stat, its, an iron, dinosaur, why is it so bad

I am outraged that bastiodon is a “bad” Pokémon, it’s a tank, it’s not supposed to deal damage, it’s supposed to take hits, put roar and stealth rocks on it and swap into chimecho whenever you know you’re about to die
The problem is that in a casual game, stall is not an effective strategy. Since you must progress the story at a reasonable pace and the sheer amount of wasting items and time, that a stall strategy would require tends to not be worth it, outside of maybe a few bossbattles.
In a casual playthrough, Bastiodon is awful
@@frankwest5388 use rest, every Pokémon learns it and it only eats 1 pp every 3 turns so it’s great for pp stall
@@casualbiscuit kills the pacing of a casual playthrough. So it sucks.
Imagine you must do that, for every fight that you want to use that boulder in. It would be agony

it quintuples game duration, especially if you do it for more than 6 Pokémon, and is actually pretty fun to do in an “in-game” format
Ugh seeing Flareon on the list hurts my soul. Besides Flareon isn’t “that” bad. It has 95 Special Attack so Fire Blast or Flamethrower is still gonna do a good amount of damage.
The reason it’s here is because compared to other sinnoh fire types it’s not as good

Considering you'd also have Krickitune and Chimeco on the team, I think one actually not being necessarily"bad" is passible
He probably just put it on the team because its slow. Speed doesn't matter if you can one shot your opponent though lol. Flareon is good, it kicked ass on my firered team.
Because flareon is not only slow, but frail. You can have a slow pokemon, as long as its bulky, and you can have a frail pokemon as long it is super fast and hits like a truck, but you can't have a slow AND frail pokemon, that just doesn't work. And since flareon is both slow and frail, it won't do much. And besides, the strongest physical fire move flareon gets in platinum is FIRE FANG. yes, FIRE FANG. And even if flareon hits like a mountain, it's probably gonna get killed before it even attacks, so it's safe to say it's no wonder flareon is in this list, since it also has a bad movepool
Avalanche's negative priority doesn't even make a difference when we are dealing with 30 base speed lol
To my surprise, my chimeco was actually pretty decent in my platinum playthrough. with its solid SP atk and a moveset similar to the one you showed, it was like a mini gardevoir in a sense. its confusion - psybeam - psychic evolution were a nice STABm shadow ball made for a nice coverage, shock wave was great for dealing with pellipers and gyarados and grass knot was ideal to deal with the likes of quagsire and gastrodon. overall, a really solid special attacker for in game
Seeing chimecho on this list hurts, one of my fav underrated pokemon
One of my favorites is Chingling. Chimecho was always confusing for me as a kid design wise.

Bibarel is legitimately a solid Pokemon and probably the best one on this team.
All of them are pretty solid for casual gameplay and some even for competitive.

after watching this video i now realize that i actually love Noctowl. I had a hoothoot on my heartgold team like 10 years ago and that shit was so fun. maybe i’ll replay with him again some day

I did my last play through of Pearl with pachirisu and I actually found it pretty good, it’s base attack isn’t that best but after a few stat boosts and some TMs it was a pretty solid pokemon. Ran it with a move set of Thunderbolt, Iron Tail, bite and aerial ace.
Can someone tell me how Simisage was the only elemental monkey to avoid the top 10 weakest list?

Edit: I just checked Simisage’s move pool and it’s NOT BAD.

What good is having those coverage moves when A) the user is outsped and KO'd or B) still does virtually no damage despite being super effective?
That's on the player. Those things usually only happen in PVP.
I’m doing a nuzlocke of platinum right now. And I actually have a bibarel and a kricketune. I’m king of suprised how strong bibarel is. It can know rollout too by level up.

also, chimeco can use fairy type moves, which is okay to use in the remakes as well
I saw my boy Chimecho on the thumbnail so I had to come to his defense and tell you to get all the way off that floaty boy’s back! Lol
I used a kricketune in a playthrough and it did well, especially when it came to trainers whhere fury cutter and metronome gets slowly more powerful
i thought it’d be like the objective 6 worst fully evolved pokes lmao was hoping to see Chatot, Unown, and Wormadam. I got Kricketune and Bastiodon right at least
I used a Bibarel and I was impressed by it. Can learn a lot of great moves and it’s a tank!
You forget about glaceon. Although it's a sinnoh pokemon. If flareon's here, you should also put glaceon in the list

I used Flareon, Chimecho and even Kricketune in my Platinum playthroughs this year.

And that's only for casual gameplay.
Chimecho is so cute and fragile that I’m tempted to use it in a game at some point but… in Platinum you can also get Gallade, a much stronger Psychic type and one of my favorite Pokémon. Bastion though, I’m sure I could find a place for it, even if it doesn’t have very strong offenses. I’m also tempted to try using Flareon in one game.
I bet Mystic can't make best team for Pokemon Radical Red Hardcore mode.
Bastiodon would be so good in gen 8...body press and it could possibly get access to new moves
When Flareon is your favourite Eeveelution but even you know it’s terrible
Noctowl is a great Pokemon I feel out of all the regional birds it gets so much negativity it did wonders for me in Colosseum, HeartGold & SoulSilver.

I unironically used a Chimecho and now I feel bad. My only problem with choosing a platinum team is the necessity of rock climb and the lack of interesting stuff that learns it

In my last playthrough, I used kricketune to take down Cynthia’s Garchomp with Perish Song

i like this list tbh even if there are some entries that i am sad to see on it but entertaining nonetheless
I havent used half of these pokemon in any playthrough of pokemon hames so I might try and use a modified version of this for a playthrough

Actually Fire Fang is stronger than Flamethrower for Flareon, without any EVs or IVs, just calculated it. Its not a big difference though and since IVs and EVs also play a role in the damage calculation, I would say that both are a fine choice, depending on what you want and if you can wait until Level 43. Do you want an accurate move that can burn or one that can flinch or burn but also miss sometimes?
Bastiodon is harsh! When BDSP comes out, I’m hoping to get one for my team as my stealth rock/sunny day setter and stall pokemon. Iron defence, stealth rock, sunny day and Roar. Iron defence could swap for Rain dance or toxic depending what I need. He’s a solid support Pokemon for a play through imo
I don't think you'll get Toxic, but maybe Body Press will be an option.

@@SamRobertshaw1618 Because the TM doesn't exist anymore since gen 8. I also hope they bring it back, because it really made rather bad Pokémon actually viable for fighting. We'll see.

Guys what is the 7th gym leader in Sinnoh’s name? I can’t remember
I mean to be fair Pachirisu does learn some good moves by Tutor... just not by Level up so it could still be used... For those who want to know a moveset here's one I came up with:
Pachirisu
- Thunderbolt (TM in the Veilstone Game Corner again) or Discharge at Lv 29 if you'd rather
- Gunk Shot (Move Tutor)
- Seed Bomb (Move Tutor) or U-Turn (TM from Canalave city or the Veilstone Game Corner)
- Super Fang (Learned by Level Up at Lv 33)
I have two ideas for new team vids: Best Team for B2W2 Remastered. Maybe the original team that was made for these games could still hold up today, but maybe check it out since it’s an older video of yours. Second: Best Team for ORAS Remastered. Again, the original team made looks good, but because it’s another older vid of yours, maybe your perspective on best teams has changed since then, so do what you want with it. Just thought I’d share some ideas with you!
