    I just finished putting this together...took 3 days of very relaxed slow work on and off. My issue is this: Just turned it on for the first time, started walking, the belt sounds like it's rubbing on something, not pleasant to walk, some type of belt issue, trying to figure it out...lifted it up, not sure what to do, it looks centered it's just rubbing when I walk it's loud, does it get more quiet over time? the belt..

    • @FitnessEquipmentHelp
      @FitnessEquipmentHelp  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      the belt does drag on the walking platform new treadmills make a higher pitched hiss type sound as the belt drags across the platform. This noise does go away and usually gets drowned out by the sound of the foot falls as you walk/run.

    So my incline motor wasn't working. I unscrewed the bolt that had the incline motor to the base. All it does is spin not push out. Do you have any clue why it doesn't push out?

    • @FitnessEquipmentHelp
      @FitnessEquipmentHelp  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      if the motor worm gear (threaded shaft) is not bolted to the frame the drive gear inside the motor will just cause it to rotate instead of extend. re attach the motor and run the incline calibration test. Instructions for incline calibration are in the user's manual for your model.

    How to you remove the grommet piece for disassembly?

    • @FitnessEquipmentHelp
      @FitnessEquipmentHelp  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      The machines were not designed for disassembly. As such I don't have a good suggestion for removing the wire harness grommet. There are two tabs that lock the grommet into place. In locations like in the belly pan when where you can depress the tabs the grommet removes easily. When you cannot access the tabs like, in the upright, the solution is often just to pry them out. Unfortunately this results in damage to the grommet in most cases and it may need to be replaced.

    The two #8 x 1/2" Screws wont go all the way into the Cover Brackets on the uprights, what do I do

    • @FitnessEquipmentHelp
      @FitnessEquipmentHelp  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Since this a metal to metal connection it is not likely to damage easily. I would encourage you to apply more force. Make sure you have a proper sizesd screwdriver that the tip is in good condition. That will make the assembly easier.

      make sure you are using the correct size screw. the placeholder screws and the screws that are used during assembly should be the #10 size screws.

    I can't get the 4 screws to go in at 3:45 of your video, any suggestions?

    • @FitnessEquipmentHelp
      @FitnessEquipmentHelp  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Some of the screws are intentionally oversized. This does cause some frustration usually it is the #10 sized screws you indicate. In the past I have run the screws in the handrail w/out the cross bar in place with a power drill. The cross bar is a cast piece and is more brittle. I have seen them crack when using power tools in the past. That is why it is recommended to use hand tools. Once the screws are in a few threads remove them and re-assemble, with the cross bar, using your hand tools. I have also come to appreciate a good screwdriver. Making sure it is the correct size and the tip is not worn helps a lot with these larger screws.

    The step 3 #8 1/2 screw is too big for the whole that is for the ground wire.

    • @FitnessEquipmentHelp
      @FitnessEquipmentHelp  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      There should have been a #8 place holder screw in the upright? Was there a placeholder screw there and was it also bigger than the #8 screw? If the placeholder screw fit in the whole you can use that screw instead of the #8 screw. if it is tight then the serrations on the grounding ring should accomplish the grounding needed.

      I had this same problem with T Series 6.5S Treadmill. This is bad quality control from NordicTrack.

    • @FitnessEquipmentHelp
      @FitnessEquipmentHelp  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@davidjoe8455 The screw holes are intended to be tight. It is not an oversight or lack of quality. It does make it difficult for some individuals to screw them in using the recommended tools. This is one place, where it is a metal upright, that I would break the rules of best practice and suggest using a power tool if needed. You are not likely to break anything there.

      Make sure the incline of the treadmill is set to 0% or maybe slightly higher (1-3%). When the deck is declined the frame and the base are closer together and it the latch will not fit in the extended position.
