Mark, one of the best demos on the Fender 60th Anniversary Commemorative Stratocaster . I just ordered a 2014 Model. Hope to get my 50's and 60's groove-on.
Nice demo, Mark. Everything explained perfectly. Best of luck there at NStuff Music!..Got me one of these axes last May at the Dallas Guitar Show. I recommend this to any Strat lover...
Hey, Luc...Good point. This axe may be strung with a real, low action...When I got mine, the action was low & had a lot of fret buzz but then I tend to play aggressive due to a lot of SRV. But I left the action alone and try to back off, working on smoothness & speed since my other axes have a higher action of 5/64. If I play with a light touch, the buzz goes away...
@@soofitnsexy Yeap a 2010 60th anniversary maple deluxe strat. It's almost the same as the one in this video except for the gold tuners/bridge and marker dots(mine are pearl). It's a gorgeous piece of instrument.
@@soofitnsexy I like them and they serve me pretty well though i might replace them with Tex Mex pickups for that extra 60's vibe but im still quite unsure if i should spoil the originality.
Thanks for the review, but you leave me in doubt... Are you sure it's a two-piece body? Not that it really matters. Some of the sounds were great, almost Richard Thompson-esque, twangy and beefy, but the other sounds were just meh. The bridge PUP demo made it sound like pure jobbies. Based on this demo, I wouldn't buy this guitar, especially due to that goldie-looking bling.
I dug out the specs that fender supplied us with on this guy, and they state that this was a 2-piece body. It doesn't look like it from the video though, so I understand the confusion! Thanks for checking out our channel!
I was never a Strat guy, until I played this one. The compound radius changed my mind. I have hotter pickups in now, but may go back, for the old school sound. I was raised on power chords, but now I appreciate the nuances of single coils.
They're has been a lot of confusion between the standard 60th and the AVRI version the same year In this vid he mixes up everything, talking about the 2 guitars specs mixed up.
The much ignored middle p/u sounds really classy on this Stratocaster.
eta, Mark Lucas is an excellent guitarist /reviewer

Classy guy, classy amp, classy guitar. Not a huge fan of gold hardware, but damn this sounds good.
