I bought the classic player back in 2015 its been my goto since then playing through a Blues deluxe reissue, quality is indistinguishable from the American - I love the darker tone of the neck pick up, aging beautifully - Neville your playing on this little demo is pure class
Wow! Classic player sounded really good. I love vintage spec, so I like the vintage 54 and the classic player. Based on the video, I like the smooth fullness of the vintage 54 the best, then the classic player. Just bought me a Vintage 54 reissue in fact. If I wasn't a mild collector, I'd go with the classic player all the way! Plus the classic player has a nitro finish where the commemorative 54 doesn't!
Areeya House finished and assembled in Mexico but it's all California Fender parts. They are amazing guitars. The best sounding strat pickups for my ears.
Is neville still with guitarist mag? Neville was writing volume when I first started guitar back in 98, awsome to see he's been working his magic with guitarist recently, he's very passionate and knowledgeable.
A superb professional review. Still my favourite guitar mag after all these years. I remember when Neville first had his long hair cut short. Lol. Still Jam to the mags CD blues backing tracks.
Ya know, and just as an example... The 60TH ANNIVERSARY COMMEMORATIVE STRATOCASTER® has: "SPECIAL DESIGN 1954 PICKUPS The sparkling sound of the 60th Anniversary Commemorative Stratocaster comes from its three special-design 1954 Stratocaster single-coil pickups, which were created to honor the very first model year of the world’s greatest electric guitar." I.e., "Special-Design 1954 Strat Single-Coil" pickups. And the 60TH ANNIVERSARY AMERICAN VINTAGE 1954 STRATOCASTER® has: "AMERICAN VINTAGE 1954 PICKUPS American Vintage instruments feature specially voiced pickups meticulously researched and crafted to reproduce the authentic design, voice and performance of specific instruments from individual model years in the 1950, ’60s and ’70s. Their superior sound and style is one of the defining hallmarks of the American Vintage series." I.e., "American Vintage 1954 Single-Coil Strat" pickups. So, what's the difference, sound or otherwise, between a 1954 Strat pickup, and a 1954 Strat pickup? NONE, I would most certainly hope. Sure, maybe one of these guitars has fewer or more screws in it's tremelo, pickguard, or whatever; or one less or more layer of wood fibers on its neck. But if I want a Strat that sounds like a '54 Strat, I would be peeved, to say the least, if these two guitars didn't sound virtually IDENTICAL. AND, for $1000 less, I don't expect I would have much trouble learning to like the cheaper one better. Just my two cents to say that there's a point when all this hair-splitting gets to be a bit ridiculous.
Hey dummy! You do realise you won't get exactly the same product as the old guitar, don't you? It goes without saying, there are 15+ unique sounds from this new guitar. And those sounds are unique to the 60th anniversary product. No 2 fender guitars are exactly the same! Why haven't you learned this fact in 60 years!? Stop gossiping and shut up, cause you've got some catching up on knowledge to do! You're way behind the average fender collector.
I love that lick he's playing while testing these beautiful strats out. Anyone know if that lick/solo is from a real song? if not, does anyone have the tab for it?
The MIM had the best sound for SRV stuff in this video, you can hear it can really take off. Those are the Tex Mex pickuos.. maybe a lttle less refined than all the vintage correct pick-ups, but if you wanna rip they're the way to go
I have a 60th Anniversary MIM strat (Blizzard white) but those came out in 2006, not 2014, so why does Fender have two 60th-Anniversaries? Fender started in 1946 so it should be 2006 as it's 60th anniversary.
Excellent review, but would've liked have all the commentary up front and then each guitar right after the other with a caption to identify it. Did you consider including the Squier 60th Anniversary Classic Vibe? That would have really nailed it. Suggestion: make a new video and include about twenty Strats all the way from Squier up to Signature models. You'll get one million views if you do that....maybe two million. Thanks.
Guys help: would you buy the first guitar showcased, desert sand Fender 60th Anniversary '50 Stratocaster, or an American Standard Strat for the same price (900 bucks)?
very nice sound But is a so sad i haven't money for buy one =/ anyway...the dream dont cust nothing And I would like to enjoying the moment and ask.. what is the name of this peace music ? or is just for a little demo? I liked the feeling her
+Lucas Wide Me to . I love it . Only problem was , back in 2014 ,it took Fender 3 tries to ship one to PMT . The 1st two had major finish damage to the upper body due to the cases not being made properly inside.
I bought the Vintage one (most expensive) haven't even played it and when I pulled it out of the case ALL of the Knobs were split down the side. I pay that much money and the freaking knobs cracked. WHY FENDER?!?!?
+Cameron Myers uh, if it's a vintage guitar, expect it to be either in vintage or mint condition. Yours obviously in beaten up condition. Don't blame fender, they didn't make it that way in the beginning. You buy that much for a guitar and don't even understand how vintage guitars work
Dude..... I think I know my guitars. Especially if I paid $2700. It is MINT condition. They didn't make a vintage version of this guitar. The knobs split down the side, they were not made correctly. Thanks for your input but you are wrong
Cameron Myers Even though you may be right. Paying a certain price for something doesn't mean you know anything about it in general. For example, all those cars Justin Bieber owns. Do you think he is a car expert. He spends millions on cars just like a rich kid would on guitars then not even play it
ANDYB1478 depends on what kind of music you play. For me EMGs are shit. But a lot of metal players swear by them. Strats are great guitars and has been for over 60 years.
depends on personal preference. flaws to you could be treasure to others (minus flaws like faulty wiring, bad finishes, cracked pieces, etc.) like that other guy said, to me EMG's sounds like fresh cow shit, but alot of guys praise them.
Truth is and pretty much with all guitars, irrespective of brand, the guitar chooses the player as much as the player chooses the guitar. If the guitar isn't right for you, it'll never feel right, play right or sound right. On the other hand, if you pick one up that IS right, you'll know pretty quickly. When ever I find those guitars, I just buy them - I don't even question it.

Just got my Desert Sand Stratocaster Monday and it is a joy to play. loving the nitrocellulose lacquer!!
I already own a beautiful 2013 USA Stratocaster but am so tempted by the Commemorative model. Do I need it - NO, do I want it - Oh YES,YES, YES!
Thanks for your nice comments. All lovely guitars and all subtly different.
The amp was a Vox AC15CC - it gives as really nice, honest sound.
These Guitarist demos are the best.
It's got me buying the mag again.
Gotta love that Classic Player :)

I have a American Standard Strat 60th Anniv. LTD FSR..Aztec Gold..best playing guitar I've ever owned..I've owned near 200 guitars.Been playing 40+yrs
The first one (and cheapest) is my favorite! :O
*_*
+dimiaraujo90 If you didn't buy one , go buy a used one . You won't be dissapointed.
Made in Mexico

I have one, best guitar I ever played!
@@richardschwarz7907 I have one too

not a lover of strats but this makes me want one...
I've got the 60th Anniversary Classic Player, and it is outstanding. Try one, you'll love it.

Great lead line, playing and review!
Love this channel! Professional videos each time. Thumbs Up!
Love the first and cheapest one of the three strats. I like the 3rd next. The most modern sounding one is my least favourite.
Great review, really to the point. Awesome tones what amp/pedals were being used?

60th anniversary of the Stratocaster Model itself.

Its the Fender 60th anniversary classic player 50's strat

Bristol Blue That sounds like shite, hope its all good now
Lucas Wide Yes it's a great guitar cheers. Hope you're still enjoying yours.
why does the low E string look really bent out of shape on the sunburst Strat?
its the camera's thin depth of view effect that gives the bent appearance of the string.
What amp and effects are you using? ( I'm curious).
can you do a review of the Fender Classic Series Lacquer guitars?
+WhatMeWorry? huh?
sorry i meant to reply to someone else .. my apologies..
Very nice playing

I have the same problem with my vintage. Love the guitar but this is indeed a shame and blame on Fender!
I called Fender and they sent me regular knobs. I was like gee thanks.

Great demo
Excelente demo.. y la guitarra es una maravilla !!
Nice review, but I think I'll stick to my G&L it knocks spots off any Strat I've ever played, so glad the label snobs haven't cottoned on!
You have very nice vibrato.
That's beautiful dude
great video !
as great as these guitars sound you just might as well wait 6 months and buy them for 50% off used
THE SYNTH AXE GUY!!!!!
Color me boggled. Are these reviews or just free advertising for Fender?
The third has the least beautiful tone imo. It's more dull and with less attack. I like the second best.
Iklan yutube makin menjijikan
They all sound the same...
+Jose santi No shit, Sherlock ! They are all Strats with American pickups after all.....
no they do not
How much is Fender paying you to praise their products? I've had a lot of Stratocasters that have been utter shit.
