Most truck owners never "truck " their truck at all, and go berserk at a paint scratch. You can't pay 70k-100k and haul to the dump! My 86 Toyota Hi-Lux with 286k miles does truck work nicely.

Many compact cars crash into convenience stores. A lot of power is not necessary. They jump the curb and go on. If the truck would have bent over a couple bollards then maybe yes, powerful.

wow...that mirror is WEAK compared to the model 3. i had some road rager literally pounding on my side mirror 4 times really hard and it didnt even crack or break, and it works 100 percent perfectly. all it did was pop the mirror glass off and was dangling by the wires. a new mirror glass popped back in.
I’ve had a piece of cardboard that flew up on the road and broke my mirror on a model 3. Sometimes I think the angle and some other things involved just can break a lot of things.
None of what's in this video would interest me. The only thing I'd be interested in is knowing that it could actually go 500 miles on a charge. Not that I need the 500 miles, but if I was towing a 6k trailer behind me, I'd hope to get at least 220 miles with it. To me, that is the biggest knock against it and I'd personally never buy one until that is addressed.

@@richie1317 it can tow for sure but for a longer range then you will need the range extender. My issue is how people are ill informed about EV and the government trying to force it on the citizen. But I can in every way say the ev are far better than ice vehicles but let people make the switch by choice now force.

Ah the KOH claim is just ridiculous. Just like all the other spectators, all they did was GO TO KOH, they didn't PARTICIPATE!. It wouldn't even be able to get to the start of the first real obstacle. They did the Optima offroad course for EV's with stock vehicles like an ID.4, model Y, Rivians etc.and still broke a rear steering bolt doing donuts on flat dirt. There is a lot that's impressive on the CT, offroad capabilities is not one of them.
So the 1964 Aquaculture, that gave land and lake rides at the NY World's Fair, did better than the Cybertruck. 59 years ago. And the owners still have meet ups and events!

Like most first run vehicles the customers find the weak spots and the company improves them. I think waiting a year or so to buy this truck might be smart. And like all the other Tesla's the price will probably drop. Seems alot of the owners never owned a big truck before and don't really need it.

It can. You just have to stop every once in a while. Like when I towed a UHaul trailer from San Antonio to Atlanta with our SUV. Our SUV usually gets 25-27 mpg. Towing the small trailer yielded 15 mpg for the trip.
Stopping every 100 miles to charge to 100% will take awhile. Charging to 80% is reasonable, but not 100% (which it will require). Also, the superchargers aren’t designed for pass-through charging-requiring trailer removal just to charge is very inefficient and inconvenient and will take even longer. This all seems unreasonable and inconvenient. Would be doable with 500mile range they originally proposed at the unveiling. But not with 300. Plus, the range extender looks to take up too much room in the bed to where I could no longer fit e-bikes back there. I can’t believe I’m going to say this, but the new Ramcharger coming out next year looks like it solves all these issues.
@@musicbox4022 I expect the batteries to get better. Perhaps the reason the Cybertruck took as long as it did to be introduced is because batteries did not improve as quickly as Elon expected they would. I'm waiting for a better price and better batteries. There are plenty of people eager to pay the higher price for the Cybertruck as it is. I'm not at all worried about Tesla going out of business anytime soon.

I put my deposit on CT in 2019, and now I can finally buy one.. but it’s a fraction of the truck that was promised for way more money. I need my next truck to be capable of towing. Frustrating waiting 5 years for something that falls way short.

Yeah, if you’re careless with it. People who would buy a $100k vehicle wouldn’t just let it keep rusting, they would polish it off.
Or get a car with regular paint a clearcoat and you don't have to polish anything anytime it rains. Stainless steel is a great material but there's a reason why it hasn't been used in personal vehicles. I work construction and work with stainless on a regular basis. It is important to keep the properties of any materials in mind. @@Pavel-ex2wn

I’m surprised no one has drowned as people make videos with Y’s and 3’s going through deep water … people go into standing water not being sure how deep the water is … the Tesla’s are so heavy they don’t seem to temporarily float like regular cars.
