I’m heavily tattooed full back piece , full chest both sides and the front of my neck but tomorrow I get my first head tattoo I always get Kinda anxious and excited the day before a sitting once that needle touches skin it’s game on anyone get that feeling before a sitting
I just got the side of my head tattooed today and yes haha Adrenaline starts pumping and I get shaky but then I see the ink being set up and a wave of calmness over comes me, how did your tattoo go? I think the pain is hyped up to much. Part of mine is on my neck and that definitely was more painful but even then nothing crazy. Not breaks or anything.
I watched your video last night. You said the paid was a 20. I said to myself, oh, that’s bullshit! Lol! I got my head tatted today. That wasn’t bullshit!! Pain level was a 20! OMFG!!! My tattoo was 4 hours of torture. The last hour I almost tapped out. Thanks for this video! It was very helpful!!

I got a tattoo à week ago on the side of my head (takes up about 1/3 of my head) and a little on my ear as well. I wanted to be sure I was taking care of it correctly so I clicked on this video. Gotta say, I definitely got a confidence boost watching this (: I didn't think my head tattoo hurt hardly at all, maybe a 3 or 4 compared to other tattoos and piercings I've had done...except for on the temple. That felt like a lot of pressure, similar to when I feel a migraine coming on. And it lingered.

I did learn not to focus on it because towards the end of getting it i was focusing to much on where the needle was going and what it was doing and it was the worst thing i could have done. 2:40 min in and not i hear him say don't get a head tattoo as your first and here coms my ass get get a 7 hour long tattoo on my head it was worth it and i love it and thx for all the tips it helped a lot

The idea of squeezing something sounds like a smart idea. I'm going to use some tktx numbing cream as I used it for my ribs and it made it so much easier

Upon getting my head inked, perhaps with color, would be best to use an electric shaver instead of wet shaving so not to remove too much of the top layer of skin in time? I had to start meditating like 30 mins in and focus on my breathing and my girl was done pretty fast too but I was gripping my hands hella hard too squeezing the shit out my palms - DO NOT think about the pain . I stood up shaking from some nerves that were hit
Very interesting question. This lady at my job one day was eating lunch with someone and he saw my head tat I saw that she was looking at me but I ain’t say nothing. So after the lunch was over she says oh my husband said that you meaning me have a gang tattoo. I’m like excuse me???? She’s like yea that name I’m like my mothers name?. She looked at me and said oh I’m like the shit says Mercedes what gang would that be lmao 🤣. The other half you gonna get random ppl stoping you and ask you if it hurts I get it like 3x a day. And others love it. If you are the type of person that don’t like being bothered I’ll think twice before getting it done. Because it is a target work wise no issues worked at a hospital for 11yrs and no bothers

I’ve got my appointment scheduled in 3 weeks and I’m nervous for the pain but this helped. Anyone here have their ribs and their head tattooed? How comparable is it? I sat for 3.5 hours straight for my ribs and I hated it lol but I did it, and I feel like I can handle my head. I have an undercut, and I’m planing on a sort of half mandala/henna inspired design. I’m really, really excited and have been planning it for months but I’m of course still nervous for the pain haha

I got both sides of my head tattooed last thursday it took 6 hrs no numbing cream i know what you in the pain factor .im getting the top of my head done im having two more done. This time im using numbing cream. I use second wrap on my head it helps alot .
Sorry for the late response it’s gonna be fine. But for the barber it’s gonna be tough for him fade it you have to pay extra attention that he don’t do no mistakes. Luckily for my I’ve had the same barber since HS but he even have problems sometime

I have my entire body tattooed 25 on my face and my entire head tattooed. Shite hurts. Top of the head the lining you can't feel. The mag work omg it hurt. Prepare to sweat prepare to hurt and take it. There is no numbing period that only heavily tattooed people know about. It burns it hurts it sucks. Your nerves go to shite fast. All my head tattoos are American traditional done with an old school creeper coil machine. What no one ever says is say goodbye to hair. Cause once you blast your head as soon as your hair starts covering them u want to shave again lol.
This is definitely true I always go back and forth and it sucks lmao. I’m looking to get the top of my head to finish it and your absolutely right. I know ppl that take pills I’m like nothing will works. And any substance taken will Only make you bleed more.
Sorry to hear that it’s all depends on the style some artist tends not to go deep when it’s a realistic tattoo I like traditional tattoos my artist went deep enough it’s been some years since I’ve had it done and it still looks amazing

getting a head Tattoo you will have to wait til it's healed, like getting a tattoo anywhere else u gotta let it peel naturally or you'll mess it up

Nice do some research my understanding is that the numbing cream effects the coloring portion ask your artist for more info about that
