    Your video helped me accomplish this issue, as my es330 kept throwing the code for rhe sensor... What a pain just for those 2 little sensors!
    Thank you!!!

    Video works great for 3rd gen ES300 models too! Same engine. Best video I’ve found on the process for this car and it made the project a lot easier for me.

    What do the knock sensors do with shifting of transmission? I have a es 330 and it acts crazy in 4 and OD but the lower speeds are smooth. Help

      @@ibggetsemani1206 I do have a 2002 es300 as well, sometimes when I am in traffic, it feels like a hard push from behind, I don’t know is that is happening to you.

    What was the issue you were having with the car that made you want to change out the knock sensors?

      Knock Sensors/Wire harnesses on these engines are known for going bad. DTC code for them prevents the ECU from allowing the car to shift into overdrive. Very annoying issue.

    Next time can you tell us why you changed the knock sensor 😢😢😢😢😢😢

      Been a while and I don’t really remember why we changed it, but I think it was due to power issues/ acceleration or something . I’ll keep that in mind. What is happening to your car ? Thank you for the comment and feedback. Have a blessed day :)

      If it's throwing a code for O2 sensors and you have a loss of power, it's your knock sensor. You'll change the O2 sensors until the code reader reads knock sensor. That's what mine did

    If you switch to synthetic oil CEL light on with code knock sensor engine that happened to my Lexus 1999 ES 300 but when I changed back to non synthetic oil CEL off.

    What fluid is leaking out when removing the part directly over the knock sensors?

    • @dimascartech
      @dimascartech  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      i would say motor oil since its on top of the engine, but then who knows what exactly you came across. what fluid does it look like to you when you take it off? motor oil? transmission oil? coolant? what color and how thick? if its darker more thicker i would say motor oil if its red pink dark i would say transmission oil but if its like waterry then it might be coolant. hard to say if you dont see it in person.

    He didn't say it but you should first drain the radiator and replace that hose while the manifold is off. Also reset ECM/ECU if you continue to get knock sensor code after clearing with scanner.
