    used your video to so this. thank you - but have a time saver: if you remove the one bolt on the bottom of the center support (connected to the hood latch) you can just swing the whole thing out of the way and won't have to bother with removing the latch and horns.

    This repair video applies to the 02 Lexus es 300. Great video. I would recommend to change out the upper and lower radiator hoses as well considering that they are likely the originals.

    Good video! I just did my 2005 ES330. I will add that in front of the radiator is the A/C condenser coil. BEFORE you put the new radiator in, spray the coil with Simple Green, let it set for 5 minutes, rinse with a hose from the engine side and blast it with air from the engine side. DO NOT SCRUB IT WITH A BRUSH OR YOU WILL DAMAGE THE FINS! Just spray, rinse, blow. It will improve air flow to both coils, give you a cooler A/C and better fuel efficiency because the A/C will work less hard to expell heat.

    Love the video!! Very Helpful! I will admit I'm not a fan of the music. I had to keep lowering the volume when the music came on, and because it's not matched to the volume of your voice I had to turn it back up to hear you when you started talking again. (It's too gimmicky, sometimes Less is More)

    I really enjoyed ur video the step by step process helped me more then u know beings that I'm a girl an definitely not no mechanic I had u next to me the whole time. There's one thing ur missing after wards I shut my hood of my car the next day I went to open it an my hood was stuck u forgot to tell people to hook the hood cable back up to the release button inside of the car. Just thought I would throw that in for u other then that great video to the T thanks for ur help

      Oh no! lol I do apologize for that! Such a small but important detail! Im stoked to hear that I was able to help you DIY and save a bunch of money in the process. Whether you're a girl or guy it doesnt matter anyone can do these repairs themselves if they just try. Props to you for taking this job on yourself! Thanks for the support

    Thanks for this video. My 2005 also had a plastic cover over the hood latch, which covered the bolts. Also don't forget that the cable for the hood latch hooks in the clip under the metal frame rail. Lastly dont forget to bolt the battery tie down before putting the black shrowd.

    Anyone who uses this tutorial a suggestion is to release the two transmission lines connected to the radiator under it. While the bracket is still on top so you have something to brace against. This applies if the hoses were really tight like mine were.

  • @JohnNorris411
    @JohnNorris411 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Nice thanks. Also wanted to mention, from something a mechanic friend told me, not sure if it is true or not, but he had said when you remove the terminals from the battery, even after they are off the battery you should not let the positive and negative terminals touch or let the positive terminal touch anything that can ground it. Said that there is still residual charge in the system and grounding the positive will quickly drain that charge instantly, no sparks or anything but said that discharging that residual energy so fast/suddenly has a small chance of damaging your cars Computer. Said to use a cheap resistor connected to each lead to slowly drain that charge or to just tape a rag over the exposed end of the positive so it does not touch anything. Again I do not know if that is true or not but computers are expensive and better safe than sorry.
