Thanks for this! You literally saved me $200+ labor. Tech at Toyota claimed I needed a new motor. Frustrated and suspicious of his "diagnoses", I searched TH-cam and found this. I followed your steps and did the trial and error...The "T connector" that distributed the water for the left and right nozzle was broken. Got a new one for $3 at Autozone. Was a 5 minute job, again thank you sir :)

This is informative. Your Nissan has an easier access to the nozzles than my 2008 Lexus RX350. I have to remove the insulation to access mine, and Lexus ones snake the hose from the outside. For some reason hoses for both passenger and driver sides' nozzles came off, and the driver side hose end that goes to the nozzle was cracking a bit. Like you said, I cut (tore) off that cracked part and stuff it back it. Works like a charm! Your video is helpful!

The caption in the thumbnail....you knew I was going to watch this one ;) Ever heard of anyone installing hood mounted nozzles on a vehicle that didn't come that way from the factory? The van has the nozzles in the wiper arm - or as like to call it: the super freezer.

Now that you mention it having the nozzles mounted in the hood makes total sense. I never thought about the engine heat warming the fluid during cold weather and acting as a melting agent. Have a good weekend!

Nice! Easy fix :) btw I got my PCM from Wrangler Fix and hooked it up. Everything was running good. Did some test driving. Sadly the next day, LIMP mode issues returned. I have a feeling it is an electrical connection problem somewhere. Also noticed the clips on the PCM started breaking off when I was removing and repluggong them back on, just the little snap snappy clips so I’m thinking that could be the electrical connection issue right there but worries about trying to reharness the PCM plugs. Might have to hire a car electrical expert to do a diagnosis

It sounds like those connectors need to be re-pinned. Make sure they are straight and clean. Good luck with repair.

Very informative!!! I own an 09 Corolla. In 2015, I wound up having to replace the check valve. I was surprised that this little piece of plastic was $24 from Toyota. I'm hoping that your fix does the trick on the driver's side. Question: I live in Las Vegas and the water is very hard. Would soaking the nozzle in CLR also be advised? It does get cold here in the winter months. Would you still recommend using the winter formula fluid even though the summer temps are usually over 100 degrees? Your thoughts. Thanks!

Yes CLR could help dissolve the minerals. I'd suggest the winter formula if freezing temperatures are for an extended time.

The newer f150s have this problem in the winter in the northeast of us. The check valve freezes and doesnt spray. You can drill out the check valve and then its fixed..just an fyi.

Good tip. I'm not sure why a check valve is even needed. Any ideas?

@@ozzstars_cars- I believe it's in there so that the fluid stays near the nozzle so it doesnt run all back to the tank. Kinda stupid really, engineers apparently dont think we can wait a second or two for the fluid to be pumped back up the line.

Damn! 5 days late here. You were hiding in my TH-cam stack! Nice fix. Like how that nozzle looked like some kind of cartoon character, lol. The Silverado has always had dribbling issues with the squirter. Maybe there's a pill for that, but no matter - she's been on my lift over a week now, broken down with a bad transmission.
I hate issues with squirters ... :D

Can be the same issue if it sprays but the left side is much weaker than the right - the right one also doesn't spray with full power it's like okayish.

Could be the start of a clog. Try using a small needle or pin to clear the jamb. Or check for a cracked hose causing low nozzle pressure.
