    THANK YOU!!!! You saved me $160 my mechanic quoted to replace the pump on my Mercedes CLK 350. I went to an auto part place, the pump was $15, installed for $20. Water still didn’t come out. Viewed your video, drove to a car wash, after doing it 5 times for 4 min each time, it worked!! Thank you!!!!! 🙏

    I saw this video last night, just tried it this morning before grabbing breakfast. Worked perfectly!!!! No more clogged sprayer. I tried to clear it last night with a paper clip and that didn't work.

    Very good idea. I unclogged mine by disconnecting the washer feed hose and blew 100 lbs of air thru the nozzles down. Also used a welding tip cleaner wire to ream the nozzles.

    But you're forcing the muck back into the pipe, so it will just come back out again, won't it?

      Disconnect the hose from the washer jet first, then hopefully the blockage will come out the other end!

    I tried and it open one hole; I am still happy. I didn’t spray for long. May be more effective if sprayed long as per the video

    Bit pointless doing it for any more than a few seconds. It will either clear it after a short time or it won’t at all. Not sure what effect that high pressure blasting through the wrong direction will have on tubing, connections and pump which is much greater than normal and not what it is designed to withstand.

      The window washer nozzle will limit how much water can flow back through the system, and it will be under low pressure since the wiper washer motor is a rotary vane pump, and will simply let any back pressure flow through it to the reservoir or through the other nozzle.

      I will try this as well. I did do this before this video, but only for a second or two. Will try for longer because I do not want to have to take the assembly apart either.

      It helped unclog my nozzles, which worked for a few months afterward. For a longer-lasting effect, the tank for windshield washer fluid needs to be flushed right after cleaning the nozzles. This means draining all the water from it, along with any dirt that may have accumulated. I personally used a hose with a pear attachment for this purpose.

    What's with the downvotes? This obviously worked and physics don't lie: You used high pressure water to clean a nozzle..gee.
    I find it rather ingenious and convenient as well...I think I'll give it a try.

    its going the wrong way - you are just jamming the gunk deeper into the tubing. You need it to be cleaned from the other direction.

    • @autotipsandtricks6321
      @autotipsandtricks6321  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Good point! What you see in this video shouldn't be considered the ultimate solution; rather, it's a quick and easy temporary fix. It works effectively only when removing dusty water from a tank with a wider hose later. My mistake was skipping that part of the system cleaning in the video.

    • @autotipsandtricks6321
      @autotipsandtricks6321  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      In my case, I found it easier to flush the tank than to disconnect the hoses under the hood, simplifying the cleaning process.

    You didn’t make the problem clear enough. You could have done a close-up of how the sprayers weren’t properly squirting. Two or three more minutes of that would have really improved this video. And MORE of the high pressure sprayer. People might no understand what you’re getting at. Three or four more minutes of that with different angle close-ups. You might also include more detail on how to hold that sprayer wand.
