Is the 2020 BMW M240i a good substitute for a convertible M2?

The BMW M240i packs a lot of performance for the price. Under the hood is a 3.0L turbocharged inline-6 producing 335 HP & mated to a 8 speed automatic. With the ability to have top done fun in the sun and a great looking upscale sporty interior. Does the 2020 BMW M240i perform like a convertible M2?
