@@Reverend_Salem You could probably faux-marble some dowel rods, source some old rolling pins, or possibly use long square cuts of marble-colored Corian. Also, you could check with a seller who makes marble countertops and see if they could do something for you with the trimmings, though like the Corian, you'd probably have to go square instead of a cylinder.
I grew up in Louisiana across the street was a grave yard. All gravesites are above ground because of floods and the spongy ground . If you buy your plot before you die they just seal it with a board and a thin layer of concrete. I'm not afraid of the dark because of that grave yard, I got so used to homeless people breaking into pre bought mausoleums and above-ground burial plots that I could see a ghost and still think it's just a person trying to survive. Bless that place, I do miss it like crazy.

I'm from La. too. My two of my grandparents are buried in st. Roch Cemetery. It sucks that you have to worry about people not only sleeping in mausoleums but also breaking into family Crepes and stealing parts of the Crepes themselves but also part of your family members, the sell to collectors and shops. My other family members are buried on Grand Isle there you pretty much just have to worry about them washing away with the title surge of a hurricane.
Making tower racks out of real human bones, some might say "that's the most gothic thing I ever heard", but for someone who knows Aurelio Voltaire enough it's just your regular Gothic homemaking video.
This would also be great for jewelry storage! A jewelry rack could also make good use of smaller and thinner bones that aren't cut out for towels or mugs.
@@MythicalHex personally, I'd rather have human bones, but my budget wouldn't allow $150 per rack (as amazing a price that is for a femur), so I would probably have to go online to buy some of the much more affordable prop replicas. At least in this day and age, resin casters can get every detail correct, as well as the array of stains and pain to make it look as authentic as possible
Don't get me wrong, I would still be willing to pay the necessary money to buy real, authentic human bones, but not for diy projects where they may have to get damaged, or modified, but instead as an art piece for a side/coffee table, or mantle, or maybe even a flower vase made from a human skull would be a fitting centerpiece for a dinner table Something along those lines

I never had a job that travels out of state I did to animal search but was not in the field team thanks to my disabilities so stuck in labs, reading books, documenting animals in captivity, and cage work. But relied on the field teams to help my work.
@@cindyk.3022 well as more and more is known of their lives and habitats zoo life is now getting as enriching as the wild for animals. But always have to think they don't have to worry about getting hurt hunting or looking for a mate. Then also they have the best mates possible along with hand picked food they get medical care and no worry of parasites or predators. A lot has changed for zoo animals and any animal in captivity in the past 20 years. Also many animals where born in captivity if not they are old long lived animals, or rescues but most animals have no clue what being wild means or that their is things that can kill them. I love designing habitats I still do it even though I don't work with zoos anymore I still do it at home for my own animals and for other people's pets. I stopped working at OKC Zoo when i became too disabled to have normal hours I have to sleep and rest a lot so is much better working from home for me and just doing scheduled installs of habitats I did at home. I always go for the natural over man made looks myself. But I rarely go out now I ofcorse have vending tables for premade bioactive enclosures at reptile and pet expos. I try to make a habbitat look like a peace of the wild. It's a fun job
I love the eclectic look of the finished piece! I was a bit skeptical of it when I saw the bare bones of it, but the towels and mugs really brought it to life! So hyped for season five!
It's so cool how you look like such a dad drilling holes on the wall, makes me feel home because I really enjoy doing projects like this with my father.
Maybe get those plastic do-hickeys that cover the screws on particle-board furniture and do the same before sticking them onto the screw heads too--cover up the slots, y'know. Or, heck, air-dry clay shaped in a Halloween candy mold. (And...all together now...paint it black.)

I've been living with a shadow since I was a child. Thankfully we made our peace and it hasn't made a peep in a few years. I think it just wanted to be acknowledged. 🤷
I absolutely love this whole idea... but in my bathroom Will use maybe a tree limb.... instead... but it will be a project for my roommate who is my 40 year old son....lol. What can I say we are an extended family and get along, when my husband passed away my son promised him that he would make sure that I never have to go into a nursing home... he's so good to me...he definitely has my back....he is a five star chef but here in West Virginia no one will hire him because they can't pay him what he's worth... so I eat good, and makes my diabetes stabilize.. my A1C is finally under 10 so I can have the surgery I need...both knees replaced. I have a ring holder (mine is a skeleton hand, the husband's is a skull), and they have the coolest skeleton lamps!!! I am absolutely in love with my lamp (that have a few color options and lamp shade choices). I really wish they would make a blanket ladder out of bones... but, if not, I may need to try this idea (slightly altered)! 🖤🦇💜🦴

dude totally thanks for telling me about the place to get the fake bones.. i've always wanted a human bone cane but real bones are as you saw expensive plus i wouldn't want to harm them.. but the fake ones looks so great there.. just drill holes and add all thread to attach and for structural support.. this'll work out great

With smaller L brackets and plastic bones you could make awesome drawer pulls. Orrrr, rubber bushings and plastic bones for drawer pulls and cupboard door handles.
I love this! I may try my hands at creating a traveling towel rack similar to a shelved shower caddy to use in my whatever the get ready to get married brides room is. Next year we are doing a hallowedding and I want to DIY a lot. If I make one I can take anywhere easily I'm golden.

Important note: real bone is very porous and should not go in a bathroom and damp towels should never go on real bone unless you seal the bones with a few layers of clear spray lacquer. In other words, if you want this project to be functional instead of decorative use fake bones.
