@joe smath yes they are Apex predators that do not hunt humans. They are mammals not fish like sharks are. There has never been a reported attack on human from wild orcas. Captive orcas can be dangerous because they are confined which is not in their dna. They need to travel in the open ocean with a pod because they are social and like to hunt for food. Divers swim with them all the time. They can be jerks to other marine life because they teach their young through play even though they don’t always eat their prey. They are the largest species in the dolphin family.
@@Christ_Is_Life10-10 amen. Someone telling Mr Smath that every one of his whinging contributions on here are landing on deaf ears. Seriously Joe, you need to get out more. Besides, they like to eat seals and the last time I looked, never saw one wearing a pink dress.
Fantastic. I've had dolphins play under and jump over my board and a Humpback swim under me. You can see how the Orca's are part of that playful clan too. THanks for sharing your vid!
All cetaceans seem to treat us the way we treat kittens or puppies. Very gentle and cautious to avoid causing injury because of the size difference, and with positive interactions. It's crazy how perceptive and also benevolent these creatures are.
Orca 1: "Hey, there's our hooman! Hi, hooman!!" Orca 2: "It's pitiful how crippled they are. Poor thing can barely float, and she needs a stick to get her around. We must be kind and patient with them."
Thank you for your teaching. I learned it in half an hour. I bought the Marnur paddle board, which is being discounted by 50%. It is very cheap and stable. I recommend it to novice players.
I think it's amazing the connection we have with them dating back thousands of years. Orca and Vikings used to fish together along with other ancient fishing cultures
They're just saying good morning to that lady . And she sees them there , passing under her paddle board , they're huge , sleek forms . But the paddle boarder is utterly unconcerned . She knows that those Orcas won't harm her . Amazing .
I think she was a little scared. If you notice, she paddles out there fairly slowly, but as soon as she encounters the orcas she starts to turn her board around and she quickly heads back towards shore.
@@toms5612 That's the awesome (but scary as hell) info that makes you appreciate these species even more. Yeah they *can* hurt or kill you if they really wanted, but they don't, the entire wild population of this species on the planet seems to have a cardinal rule not to attack humans or things associated with humans for some reason. I'd love to know how/why that happened, and what else we can find out from them if we learned how to communicate.
@@OGFox-fp1hb ... and yet they do attack and kill people in captivity. Maybe keeping Orcas in fish bowls makes them crazy. Maybe they know it's the humans keeping them there.
I might have had a heart attack at first thinking it was a shark. I’d still be cautious to respect them but so relieved and excited to see it was orca!! I love this animals, they’re my favorite by far!

I was in awe of her lack of fear , she is definitely not one of those, me included, that would have silly thoughts like - just my bloody luck if their starving! I'm amazed the Orcas did not tip her off the board just to play with her! Does anyone know if the occasional bad ass Orca exists due to upbringing , perhaps due to fish or seal shortages, bad tooth pain etc, just a thought?
Not even one bad wild encounter with humans in 50 years anywhere in the world. All these videos on TH-cam and not 1 attack, bump, nibble, smack of a person. Not 1 capsizing of a kayak, paddle board, surf board, canoe, etc. Nothing!! Just recently some younger orca near Spain damaged sail boats but no humans. Recommend you look up Roberto Bubas videos in Patagonia. He’s a park ranger and he walks into the same waters where orca beach themselves to catch seals and he pets them! And they like it!
Calm down y'all, orca do not view humans as a food source. Certain ecotypes only eat certain prey species. These orca either prefer fish or marine mammals. Not people. If anything, they're just curious.
No matter where in the world these orcas are they seem to be able to know the difference between land mammals and ocean mammals (dogs) they just like to hang out and say hi.

I believe that you are correct, but it's a little concerning that there seems to be a spate of orca attacks on small craft in the Atlantic area from north west Spain to Gibraltar, some videoed.
they actually are, their behavior is pretty much exactly like wolves in the wild, however they are even more friendly to humans on account of them being marine mammals and all marine mammals have this odd soft spot for humans, theres even reports of whales and orcas defending swimmers from sharks
Maravillosa travesía, encontrarte con una familia de Orcas y saber que todos somos UNO y que estamos en juntos con nuestra madre LA TIERRA. Gracias, gracias, gracias. Saludos desde MÉXICO. Los quiero mucho a todos.
I love Orcas, they are literally my favorite animal on the planet. I would love to believe all the wonderful things mentioned about them in regards to never showing aggression towards humans. Having said that, each animal is it's own individual and has it's own personality. While this is a wonderful video and obviously an amazing experience by this very fortunate individual it was not without a huge amount of risk. I have seen a video of a man paddle boarding off the coast of Southern California I believe where the two female Orcas began nipping at the board. Thing is they probably meant no harm but they are huge animals and Apex predators who in a moments notice can make a decision to do what ever they wanted.
Willie Moore, Understand your caution but consider this: In nearly 50 years of intentional & unintentional interactions with wild orca throughout the world, not one single fatality has ever been recorded. Only one recorded bite in 1972 and the surfer survived. Prior to that records are scarce but no recorded attacks on humans that I’ve ever read. 50 years of kayaking, paddle boarding, open ocean swimming, snorkeling, free diving, scientific research, fishing, among them but only One attack & ZERO deaths.
Always remember an Orca watching tour I took in a RHIB off SE coast of Vancouver Island one beautiful summer day. Arrived at area guide thought would be good, shut off the engines and within a minute or two a pod showed up - magnificent creatures. What I’ll never forget was this what looked to me like a young adult came right within a couple feet of where I was and just hovered there on it’s side looking at us. Looking into that eye I had a sense of looking at a very intelligent creature looking back at me. It stayed there for a couple of minutes then moved off to rejoin the pod.
I would normally say that no one should seek out interactions with wild animals, especially orca's and just let them come to you, but with how directly she was going to the orca's I feel like she saw them out there and was going to join them. Seems like she does this regularly and with how calm and respectful she is, also how calm and respectful they are. These really are possibly the most amazing creatures on earth. I wish so much we had a way to communicate with them. They communicate with actual language with their pods, albeit more simplified than human languages obviously, but that they have language and have the intelligence of 15 year olds is so fascinating. Also, gosh this music is annoying. You have this beautiful video filled with tinker toy music. Where is the wonder is what I was wondering.
That lady sure has a story to tell. And she has proof in the drone footage. What an amazing experience. The orcas are so careful not to bump her and it does look like they followed her for a bit. I was wondering if they were feeding in the beginning because of them diving and coming up for air and diving again in the same area. Fascinating footage, I hope she gets a copy.
Amazing. So beautiful and gentle. The lady is very brave too unless this is not her first encounter. I would have been paddling toward the shore at the first sighting. They are still carnivors.

California lady: I must participate
The choice of the music makes the video so chill and safe although this can turn in a different way
Awww, they’re so friendly! Swimming so close but no harm intended! Truly beautiful footage! 🐳♥️♥️♥️
They are being so gentle in the water around her, absolutely Beautiful 💖💖💖
What an awesome video! They are so powerful but graceful at the same time. One miscalculated flip of the tail would’ve knocked her off the board. I’m so fascinated with the Orca and how intelligent they truly are!
They are so smart! They know just how close to get without knocking her over!
The gracefulness with which they swim around the paddle board, always ensuring not to touch it or flip it… Just amazing!
Have never attacked a human , in the wild.
Only SeaWorld prison guards.
Yup,gentle giants
There have been attacks, but never a death.
No matter what u say in ur comments there always gotta b someone leavin a negative comment, smh never fails....
Nicholas Depina ~ If the truth means it’s negative, sorry, but the statement was false.
@Alonzo Matias u are a bot , account created 6 Mar???
AMAZING!!!
Orcas are such wondrous creatures, so curious and playful.
Orcas telling each other. " Hey look that leaf with a bug on! ." The lady "Oh they love me."
Lmao you killed me
🤣🤣
Orcas be like: "Listen guys, see that drone! We must behave, we will end up on TH-cam so be gently, we have a bad reputation already!"
Dumb words ...
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
🤣🤣🤣🤣
They only have a bad reputation with people who know nothing about them...
When did the sea pandas have a bad reputations?
Omg..absolutely love Orcas!! They go underneath her board with such gentleness. They are amazing creatures!!
Wow I loved the way that lady waved this is truly a special moment.wow how very cool .love the music you guys happy lol .
Orca 1: "Hey, there's our hooman! Hi, hooman!!"
Orca 2: "It's pitiful how crippled they are. Poor thing can barely float, and she needs a stick to get her around. We must be kind and patient with them."
I love that the one kept bringing the ray to her as if to feed her. "We've been coming here for 12 years and you haven't put on any weight."
Amazing .
At least she's wearing what appears to be easily digestible clothing. That's very considerate :)
LMAO
I got a feeling they just naturally pass on eating old meat. Gristle, bones and hair and dental floss is just out of the question.
They do not eat humans
@@danicarosemanalili6247 correct. They attack them sometimes.
How gently and careful they are all the time to not hit the Woman or bring her in Danger-awesome!
Yea better than man who breaks your heart haha JK
She has the heart of a Lion!!! I would have gotten back to shore so fast you would have thought i had an engine on that thing!!!
😹
Me too!!! Although, I do know they don't attack people.
I think she was a little scared. If you notice, she paddles out there fairly slowly, but as soon as she encounters the orcas she starts to turn her board around and she quickly heads back towards shore.
@´°` I wouldn't be surprised. While they don't attack humans in the wild I could easily believe that they like to troll humans in the wild.
I wouldn't I just stay calm a careful watching them. Has show this video she was calm and watching them and they did same thing.
Lady paddle boarding with orcas...
This was much better than watching orcas paddle boarding as the title seemed to promise! In fact, it was magical. 😊
beautiful to watch, thanks for posting it
All I was thinking was how they love knocking seals off Icebergs and throwing them back on before they are done playing and eat him!
😂😂😂swear
I was thinking the same thing! I saw one fling a dolphin 🐬 in the air also. Plus I don’t think that old lady will be tasty 😁
@ntnt orcas have never attacked people in the wild
That's Antarctic Orcas. These haven't learnt this survival tactic because they have no need to.
Superb. The Orca don't even graze her board!
What kind of pod or family unit comprises this group? A Mother and two offspring from different years? They were so gentle, just wondering.
If there's an orca around you in the sea , it means you are safe from shark.
Never thought about it that way. But, you've got a point !
but not from them. dude, think.
@@toms5612 At least they'd have to decide consciously that they want to fuck up your day I guess.
I see an animal that is highly intelligent, more smarts than most humans.
We need to take care of our Oceans, and I think they are trying to tell us that
I was in awe of her lack of fear , she is definitely not one of those, me included, that would have silly thoughts like - just my bloody luck if their starving!
Imagine this video with “Jaws” soundtrack. 😂😂
I was thinking the same lol
"jaws" became liver snack for gentle people friendly powerful orcas.
Imagine this video with Jaws in the water!
Calm down y'all, orca do not view humans as a food source. Certain ecotypes only eat certain prey species. These orca either prefer fish or marine mammals. Not people. If anything, they're just curious.
@@brittneyhernandez1083 what if someday they accidentally took a bite of human flesh and like it.
The most amazing creatures!! Lovely encounter!
Wow that's crazy. How do they not at least nudge that paddleboard or slap a tail on the water? Very gentle
Well, sometimes. One minute long video
th-cam.com/video/Vaq4pHxM5P4/w-d-xo.html
This is better than any shamu show at sea world! It’s so beautiful to watch them in the wild.
No matter where in the world these orcas are they seem to be able to know the difference between land mammals and ocean mammals (dogs) they just like to hang out and say hi.
This is fantastic! What an amazing experience.....I'm the "What if Gal" So I see this woman is equipped with just herself and her paddle and board out in the ocean. Even on the lakes of British Columbia I've been pulled over by the police on the water to check if I have a life vest, a whistle, flashlight and tow line, OMG!!! Yes I dumped my cocktail !! So..... moving forward......how does one decide to prepare and be calm with such an amazing experience????? I love this woman's calm energy!
Calm energy, or incredible naivety?
Beautiful animals, they deserve a lot of respect so loving
These orcas can be beautifully playful. Are also mega curious. I just think these orcas are very beautiful. They're also very clever
Wow! I helped look after 2 untrained orcas about 50 years ago which had been captured and held in a large pen on the West coast of B.C. They are gentle to humans. Incredible footage. Where was that ?
Sea of Cortez, Baja California
Absolutely amazing two gorgeous creatures that size at moments literally just a foot away under the paddle board (at least it seems)….what a blessed memory for this woman.
Точно ни одна Акула не подплывет, когда рядом косатки.Величественное животное.Люблю Косаток, а на земле Белочек.
They were so gentle with her...never threatening...amazing video.
Вот это выдержка и смелость.Очень храбрая женщина, не каждый мужик так бы смог.Молодец.
Thank you so much for this lovely video😍God Bless✨💫
Я бы не отважилась плавать на такой доске в океане !
Касатки прекрасны !
Magnifico!!! Complimenti alla signora coraggiosa e rispettosa dell'habitat delle orche, bravissimo anche chi riprendere le orche vere" ladies" e delicate con l'intrusa!!!!! 😊
Imagine the woman was comfortable there and those creature were playing around her
OMG
Absolutely amazing...we're headed to San Felipe in a couple weeks to do some SUP...where is the best spot to go? Not sure I'd be brave enough to paddle with those orcas but I'd sure love to see them...
I'm sure this stat is still accurate, but there has never been a deadly attack from an Orca to a human in the wild. #closeseaworld #banseaworld
This footage is proof positive how beautiful Jah's creations are..... its US humans who mess everything up.
Tk u amazing drone operator for this wonderful video!!! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼🥰🥰🥰🌊🐋
I believe that you are correct, but it's a little concerning that there seems to be a spate of orca attacks on small craft in the Atlantic area from north west Spain to Gibraltar, some videoed.
They came to inspect. They could see the human on the top and just respected her. No thought of harming her or the paddle board
Finally orcas were they belong! ❤
Being a total klutz, I am not only impressed with the orcas but with that lady’s sense of balance. I would have fallen into the water for sure.
I would love to someday have the experience that lady just had! I live in the midwest so it will probably never happen but WOW!
Don't say "it will probably never happen..." You never know.
It's amazing that they really care humans like a baby or small kids, even though they are king of Oceans❤️😘🥰
Whaaaaaaaa~~
Yes. Big ray in mouth
they actually are, their behavior is pretty much exactly like wolves in the wild, however they are even more friendly to humans on account of them being marine mammals and all marine mammals have this odd soft spot for humans, theres even reports of whales and orcas defending swimmers from sharks
Yes. Rays
You just need to run into the sick old orca who cant catch its own food, then it will happily chomp down
All I think about here is that other orca vids that show a seal jump on a iceberg to escape and the orcas create a wave to knock the seal off.
Это удивительно!!!.💕😍🌅🐋🐋🐳👍👍👍💓
Que experiência magnífica essa senhora teve. ❤️
Amazing. So beautiful and gentle. The lady is very brave too unless this is not her first encounter. I would have been paddling toward the shore at the first sighting. They are still carnivors.
It seems like a dream..
What a wonderful experience!
And what is amazing about these creatures is that as clumsy as they are in their physical structure, they are gentle with friendly people💖
QUE MUJER MAS VALIENTE ANDAR EN MEDIO DE LAS ORCAS🐬🐬.
Y LA EXPERIENCIA DE SU VIDA SIN DUDA.
Truly wonderful to watch. Respect for these Orca’s. They are beautiful. How gentle.
This film would be wonderful by the sound of the seawater and the orcas.
Wow...she was very lucky to see 3 treasures so close...amazing....😍😍😍
Wow spectacular but scary at the same time
NOT SCARY BUT ADORABLE
CAN T U SEE IT , THESE BIG DOLPHINS HAS NO INTENTION TO ATTACK. NO REASON
THEY ARE NO LIONS, WOLVES, DOGS , CROCODILES, SHARKS OR BEARS.
THEY ARE TRANSIENT ORCAS 💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖 The MOST INTELLIGENT BEINGS ON EARTH AFTER HUMANS.
I am pretty sure I would never get in the water with an Orca. The nice friendly music in the background makes it seem safer. I wonder if they played the theme from jaws how the Video would feel?
I wonder if she does this everyday ?
It looks as though she might.
So relaxed ….
Id never stop talking about this experience if i was there. Amazing!
1:23 ... "Oh boy... lunch is served!!!"
Good video and perfect music.
