Also,
I also consider Guns 'n' Roses to be the last classic rock band which means no Nirvana despite them being a great band.

Great selection of band I don't agree with the first place, though. I can't deny the talent of led zepelin they one of my favorite, too. But the Beatles will always get the first place for and almost endless list of first things.

I agree, even though Led was a jazzy/bluesie band as they say " wich is mostly bs " they obviously had a lot of Beatles influence.

4 of the top 10. Greatest era of music. I feel blessed.

It's cool The Eagles are always making these lists. However not one of them show them playing a song other than Hotel California. They have an entire catalogue of great songs...but it just shows the power and magic of that particular one.
The band that had the biggest impact on pop apart from The Beatles were.The Moody Blues who really created a new genre, Progressive Rock, Pop Art.The Kinks who deserve to be in the top 10, You Really Got Me was real was a game changer.ELO should be top 10The Association, an American band who harmonies surpassed even the Beach Boys
The Kinks are a completely underrated band.
It's all subjective. Everyone's list would be different. Like I think there's a difference between rock,and pop. The monkees wouldn't have been on my list.

I liked this list, but I agree The Monkeys (with the exception of Last train to Clarksville ) seem more pop to me. Also I see The Bee Gees as disco.

Yeah this is not a list of classic rock, more like a list of bands this person likes! Very Random. Dont agree with a lot of choices. Velvet Underground and Grateful Dead are not in this category. Supertramp should be much higher. Not a mention of Rare Earth, James gang, Pat Travers, Mott, Ted Nugent, the list is infinite! Oh and has anyone heard of Johhny Winter? Dumb list

It's hard to make a list like this, but I think that mine would be something like this (I've exluded solo artists like David Bowie, Frank Zappa, Eric Clapton and Bob Dylan, who otherwise probely would have been in the list):

Don't get me wrong. I like the Beatles but it's good to finally see a list where they r not #1! And I luuuuuuuuv Zeppelin! If I had to make a list my # 1 would be The Rolling Stones, Zeppelin or The Who. Good to see all of those in the top 5 though & sumone other than The Beatles get #1 for a change.😀Great list by the way. Keep um comin!

if it were my opinion, I would say Led Zeppelin is the best band ever, but the truth is the Beatles are the best band of all time. But im glad you gave Led Zeppelin credit
Same, I love both bands, maybe Led Zeppelin a bit more, Led Zeppelin are maybe more talentful when looking at instruments, but if you compare that with the Songwriting of the Beatles ... it is just a hard choise to make but I think that the Bealtes are the best.
I definitely prefer led zeppelin and they’re my favourite band however the Beatles are better led zeppelin are second.
beatles and zeppelin the 2 most overrated bands of all time ,they became very popular by breaking up and stop touring .I agree both bands were great in the studio sling slot of records ,both bands did not do much touring ,there are a lot of bands out there that worked there ass off with so many amazing great tours ,that put a much greater show concert , much better than the beathes and zeppelin

Procol Harum and Aphrodite's child are probably not here because they are not the most popular bands and they are progressive rock bands. They would fit perfectly into a prog rock top 100 video.

Black Sabbath and Guns N Roses should have been in top 15 and Queen in top 3 , but I like the top , I'm always glad to see Led Zeppelin where they should be :)

Great list, although everyone has their opinion about the position of each band and if there is one that is missing, there were hundreds of high-level bands such as Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, The Hollies, but not all can enter 100 🤘

Motörhead can't be outside the top 100 in my opinion. "We are Motörhead and we play rock-'n'-roll". A good mix of styles though.

Really I think this order is a personal preference. In my world Zeppelin and Floyd will always share number 1. One person left off this list that is a must top 100, would be David Bowie. Just a thought.

I know about people saying Led Zepplin is a it better than Pink Floyd. It was a hard chose but I had to go pink floyd. Both with memorable guitar solos and voices but the echoes pink floyd makes their songs trips into and land of comfort and Led Zepplin just puts you in a good mood.

Some time ago, the current Classic Rock radio station in my area had a trivia question, "What do Jethro Tull, Lynard Skynard, and Pink Floyd have in common?" The first caller guessed, "They all have men in them." The correct answer turned out to be that they were all named after real people.

Though plenty of these bands belong to genres other than "classic rock" and there doesn't seem to be any sort of logical ranking system in place here, it was good to see many of these excerpt clips. Remember, though, just because a band produced music in the years between the late 50s and the 80s, doesn't mean they were part of the rock genre, "classic" or otherwise....
No Iron Maiden. Unforgivable. The Beatles number 2? Equally unforgivable.

it all went alright to me till No 33, Black Sabbath. at this point I sensed something's wrong with the list. by the time I found out Rush ahead of Deep Purple, while Janis Joplin, Rainbow, Iron Maiden, CCR, Uriah Heep are missing altogether I sort of lost interest. sorry 'bout that. well, at least thanks for not putting Prince in the top 10, as some usually do..
Biggest surprise to me was The Eagles at 31. Thought they would be top 10. And Springsteen was way too high at 12.

Ok, many well known names, few that don´t deserve to be in the list (in my opinion), some important names missing (Focus, Cream, Kraftwerk, Oasis, Procol Harum, Slade and Uriah Heep, for instance) but Led Zeppelin is not more important or relevant to rock music than the Beatles. No way

I think The Beatles were the most important band but not necessarily the best. I have no problem with LED Zeppelin being above them. In fact, more bands should be a head of them.
Maybe with the passing of time, new generations of rock fans are slowly losing sight of just how monumentally important The Beatles were to modern popular music; it simply cannot be overstated.

The order really wasn't what I would have made. I would have listed on the number of hits, radio airtime. No one beats the Beatles. Their volume of work speaks for itself. Only person that comes close is probably Bob Dylan. Some of the groups listed only had two maybe 3 songs that made radio playlists. Not knocking anyone or any group, just an observation.

Led Zeppelin 1 with Beatles 2 is a brave call, and I don't agree with it (I'd have them the other way around), but it is more defensible than some others on this list such as e.g. The Clash below Bad Company and Foreigner, and Blue Oyster Cult below Kiss, to give just two calls that I just can't understand.

Beatles are still the top selling musicians of all time. 20 number 1 songs in 6 years. Every major list of most influencial bands made by music journalists has them at number 1. Sgt. Pepper is usually listed as the greatest album. From Helter Skelter to Yesterday, their range of styles is rarely matched.

Strange one,some crackin bands there and I don’t disrespect any of them but I’ll tell ya,I’ve seen approx 20 of them and the only band (at their height) that could knock blocks off them all was Slade! Lots of other top uk rock bands missing here too. Are you seriously trying to tell me “the monkees “ were a rock band? Depends where the poll was done I suppose and of course the age group etc.
