Same, I love both bands, maybe Led Zeppelin a bit more, Led Zeppelin are maybe more talentful when looking at instruments, but if you compare that with the Songwriting of the Beatles ... it is just a hard choise to make but I think that the Bealtes are the best.
beatles and zeppelin the 2 most overrated bands of all time ,they became very popular by breaking up and stop touring .I agree both bands were great in the studio sling slot of records ,both bands did not do much touring ,there are a lot of bands out there that worked there ass off with so many amazing great tours ,that put a much greater show concert , much better than the beathes and zeppelin
Jose H borba “they became popular by breaking up and stop touring” you clearly have no knowledge of what you’re talking about. I mean the Beatles literally broke records while touring
Montrose, George Thorogood, Focus, Humble Pie, Mott The Hoople, David Bowie, Robert Palmer, Family, Janis Joplin, Wings, Hawkwind, Elvis Costello, Man, Lindisfarne, Vinegar Joe, Sly & the Family Stone, Isley Brothers, The Damned, New York Dolls, Television, Patti Smith, Arthur Brown, The Doors. Slade, Status Quo, The Faces, Rod Stewart, Eurythmics, Whitesnake, Nazareth, Joe Cocker.
My top 10: LED Zeppelin Pink Floyd The Police The Doors The Who Green Day Nirvana The Rolling Stones The Beatles The Clash Not ranked for 1-10 or 10-1 but those are my personal top 10
Great list! If these acts were the focus of the RRHOF, it wouldn't be the joke that it is. PS. Thanks for NOT participating in the erasure of Grand Funk, from rock history.
@@felipefavareto6077 Metal is rock. But maybe not classic rock. But neither is the Bee Gees. Classic Rock is a weird grouping anyways. I would not put oldies bans in classic rock or bands like the Bee Gees. I do not know if even most punk bands are classic rock. Metal can be I thnk but maybe not the fringes. Waht is clasdic rock. It is so subjective. Better to have top progressive, metal, punk, etc lists. Those seem more straightforward although what list or lists would a band like Rush fall in? They fall into many categories and none completely. Progressive yet not just progressive. Have some almost metal songs. Defintely a huge prog metal influence. They would be in the teens in most lists they would be on but not the top of any becasue they changed their sound based upon how their art dictated.
This is one of the best Top 100 classic bands list on TH-cam and always good to hear from the critics with their favorites and yes Led Zepplin is number one in my book also but when is UFO going to show up on this list?
It's hard to make a list like this, but I think that mine would be something like this (I've exluded solo artists like David Bowie, Frank Zappa, Eric Clapton and Bob Dylan, who otherwise probely would have been in the list): 1: The Beatles 2: The Rolling Stones 3: Led Zeppelin 4: Queen 5: Pink Floyd 6: The Who 7: Black Sabbath 8: Cream 9: Jimi Hendrix Experience 10: The Doors/Deep Purple (Can't chose) Honorable mentions (No particular order): The Beach Boys, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Dire Straits, Mothers of Invention, Metallica, Rush, Santana, Derek & the Dominos, Allman Brothers, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Nirvana and Pearl Jam
ThenewBuddyRichATM nice list. Mine would probably look something like: 1. Grateful Dead 2. The Beatles 3. The Rolling Stones 4. The Allman Brothers Band 5. The Jimi Hendrix Experience A bunch others.
@@MrMallorcaboy It's like saying that Queen weren't rock for doing pop rock in the 80s. The Beatles were essentially a rock n' roll band, the rest is history.
Really I think this order is a personal preference. In my world Zeppelin and Floyd will always share number 1. One person left off this list that is a must top 100, would be David Bowie. Just a thought.
Black Sabbath and Guns N Roses should have been in top 15 and Queen in top 3 , but I like the top , I'm always glad to see Led Zeppelin where they should be :)
Procol Harum and Aphrodite's child are probably not here because they are not the most popular bands and they are progressive rock bands. They would fit perfectly into a prog rock top 100 video.
I know this is subjective but Buffalo Springfield needs to be up 50 spots. Rush top Five. Black Sabbath and Deep Purple top ten. Velvet Under ground 8 hahahaha Better way to do this is by the decade
Don't get me wrong. I like the Beatles but it's good to finally see a list where they r not #1! And I luuuuuuuuv Zeppelin! If I had to make a list my # 1 would be The Rolling Stones, Zeppelin or The Who. Good to see all of those in the top 5 though & sumone other than The Beatles get #1 for a change.😀Great list by the way. Keep um comin!
it all went alright to me till No 33, Black Sabbath. at this point I sensed something's wrong with the list. by the time I found out Rush ahead of Deep Purple, while Janis Joplin, Rainbow, Iron Maiden, CCR, Uriah Heep are missing altogether I sort of lost interest. sorry 'bout that. well, at least thanks for not putting Prince in the top 10, as some usually do..
Great list, although everyone has their opinion about the position of each band and if there is one that is missing, there were hundreds of high-level bands such as Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, The Hollies, but not all can enter 100 🤘
The Beatles have to be number one. No other band has the influence that they did. The appearance on the Ed Sullivan show, the haircuts, the controversy, everyone knew who they were. They were the talk at school, the break rooms, in churches, at bars, where ever people gathered in the mid sixties, the topic of the Beatles would come up. Then they remade themselves and were like a completely different band and there was more controversy, even affecting the Charles Manson killings. They were on lunch boxes, in comic books, bubble gum wrappers, it was a phenomenon like no other. They don't have to be your favourite band. They're not mine but no band has ever done what the Beatles did. They are, by far, the number one classic rock band.
Definitely agree; they changed the world for rock music and experimented so much and was an influence for a lot of people. Plus George Martin had some great studio ideas arguably one of the greatest music producers of all time
I have to fully agree with you. They started it all.Its like the jag e-type being the best sports car of all.Today its not the fastest, safest, economical ect but it was the first of its kind.my favourite after the fab 4 was Bowie, early Bowie to be precise.
My second pic: Beatles, 3rd Frank Zappa, only the best played for him! what a musical genius!) 4th: listen to the Cars when Ben Orr sings (another Rock talent ). 5: Cream is always great! 6: Old Stones was so good (Brian Jones era). 7: was Emerson, Lake And Palmer ( these guys had so much talent! Lakes voice was so good!). Many groups were very good but one or two songs doesn’t put you in the top 100.
Most of the bands on this list are fine - though there are some oddities which are strange and pretty obscure - the problem is the ranking - i know that it is personal preference - but to not have the most influential band in rock history ( by a country mile) at number 1 is contrary to say the least
Yardbirds contributed the most to the existence of many of today's Rock Dinosaurs. They created the rock music of the sixties and laid the foundation for many great bands. Many of them learned what the music of that time should be like. Top musicians went through the band and deserved the very top of this list.
It's so personal. That song, that experience, when you were innocent to sound. My favourite tracks, Emerson, Lake & Palmer,Pirates...& Creedence Clearwater revival,Dark Moon rising.Best bands,Beatles,Kiss,x
Ok, many well known names, few that don´t deserve to be in the list (in my opinion), some important names missing (Focus, Cream, Kraftwerk, Oasis, Procol Harum, Slade and Uriah Heep, for instance) but Led Zeppelin is not more important or relevant to rock music than the Beatles. No way
1. PINK FLOYD 2. The Beatles 3. The Who 4. Led Zeppelin 5. Queen 6. The Rolling Stones 7. Black Sabbath 8. Creedence Clearwater Revival 9. Deep Purple 10. The Doors
Pink Floyd is my favorite band but they are no Beatles. Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band paved the way for prog rock. And "Echoes" was based off of "Across the Universe"

beatles and zeppelin the 2 most overrated bands of all time ,they became very popular by breaking up and stop touring .I agree both bands were great in the studio sling slot of records ,both bands did not do much touring ,there are a lot of bands out there that worked there ass off with so many amazing great tours ,that put a much greater show concert , much better than the beathes and zeppelin
@@josehborba3004 led zeppelin toured probably more than anybody!! You know not of what you speak. Look it up. Sheesh.
Jose H borba “they became popular by breaking up and stop touring” you clearly have no knowledge of what you’re talking about. I mean the Beatles literally broke records while touring
Motörhead can't be outside the top 100 in my opinion. "We are Motörhead and we play rock-'n'-roll". A good mix of styles though.
Montrose, George Thorogood, Focus, Humble Pie, Mott The Hoople, David Bowie, Robert Palmer, Family, Janis Joplin, Wings, Hawkwind, Elvis Costello, Man, Lindisfarne, Vinegar Joe, Sly & the Family Stone, Isley Brothers, The Damned, New York Dolls, Television, Patti Smith, Arthur Brown, The Doors. Slade, Status Quo, The Faces, Rod Stewart, Eurythmics, Whitesnake, Nazareth, Joe Cocker.
Eurythmics? They are a new wave group. Two or three of my favourites have been left out. Chill. This is his own list.
But the bee gees made it. (sarcasm)
I like your list better.
Is Jennis Joplin a band? Are you sure you don’t have triple vision?
My top 10:
LED Zeppelin
Pink Floyd
The Police
The Doors
The Who
Green Day
Nirvana
The Rolling Stones
The Beatles
The Clash
Not ranked for 1-10 or 10-1 but those are my personal top 10
THE WHO is the greatest band
Wait.. Deep purple on 25?
Sandeep Ahire David Coverdale singing Smoke on the Water? WTF?
Easerly top 5
Great list! If these acts were the focus of the RRHOF, it wouldn't be the joke that it is.
PS. Thanks for NOT participating in the erasure of Grand Funk, from rock history.
Where Metallica, Iron Maiden, Nirvana ?? And WHY Deep Purple on 25'th position ?????
Metallica and Iron Maiden are metal bands, not rock bands
This classic rock bandd
This is one of the best Top 100 classic bands list on TH-cam and always good to hear from the critics with their favorites and yes Led Zepplin is number one in my book also but when is UFO going to show up on this list?
It's hard to make a list like this, but I think that mine would be something like this (I've exluded solo artists like David Bowie, Frank Zappa, Eric Clapton and Bob Dylan, who otherwise probely would have been in the list):
1: The Beatles
2: The Rolling Stones
3: Led Zeppelin
4: Queen
5: Pink Floyd
6: The Who
7: Black Sabbath
8: Cream
9: Jimi Hendrix Experience
10: The Doors/Deep Purple (Can't chose)
Honorable mentions (No particular order):
The Beach Boys, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Dire Straits, Mothers of Invention, Metallica, Rush, Santana, Derek & the Dominos, Allman Brothers, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Nirvana and Pearl Jam
ThenewBuddyRichATM nice list. Mine would probably look something like:
1. Grateful Dead
2. The Beatles
3. The Rolling Stones
4. The Allman Brothers Band
5. The Jimi Hendrix Experience
A bunch others.
another one who thinks the beatles were a rock band. people who put beatles first are jumping on a bandwagon, nothing else.
@@MrMallorcaboy It's like saying that Queen weren't rock for doing pop rock in the 80s. The Beatles were essentially a rock n' roll band, the rest is history.
rolling stones above queen? wow thats bad haha
Really I think this order is a personal preference. In my world Zeppelin and Floyd will always share number 1. One person left off this list that is a must top 100, would be David Bowie. Just a thought.
David Bowie is not a band you dum dumb
definitely :
1. Led Zeppelin
2. The Beatles
3. Uriah Heep
4. Deep Purple
5. Creedence Clearwater Revival
6. Pink Floyd
7. Queen
8. Jimmi Hendrix Experience
9. Black Sabbath
10 .Rolling Stones
das war sicher ne menge arbeit. danke. wer wer besser findet als der andere, ist egal. danke. hat spass gemacht,
Black Sabbath and Guns N Roses should have been in top 15 and Queen in top 3 , but I like the top , I'm always glad to see Led Zeppelin where they should be :)
+Carol Purcaru Bendl yeah me too :)
Sabbath is way better than Queen, what are you talking about
Nice, The Who at #3, love this list!
Inaceptable ausencia de Procol Harum, The Aprohdita's Child; Iron Maiden; Motorhead; Elvis Presley y Chuck Berry.
Procol Harum and Aphrodite's child are probably not here because they are not the most popular bands and they are progressive rock bands. They would fit perfectly into a prog rock top 100 video.
Where are The Small Faces, The Sweet and so on?
Mott The Hoople, Humble Pie, Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, The J. Geils Band?
I know this is subjective but Buffalo Springfield needs to be up 50 spots. Rush top Five. Black Sabbath and Deep Purple top ten. Velvet Under ground 8 hahahaha
Better way to do this is by the decade
Just came across your post after I posted. We are spot on
Don't get me wrong. Keep um comin!
i agree stones number 1,
Just because Zeppelin, Stones, the Who sold more albums than the Beatles doesn't mean they should take the top- wait, What? Oh, nevermind😅
good list I like how you include lots of prog bands
Interesting examples and nice videos. Good job🤘
it all went alright to me till No 33, Black Sabbath. at this point I sensed something's wrong with the list. by the time I found out Rush ahead of Deep Purple, while Janis Joplin, Rainbow, Iron Maiden, CCR, Uriah Heep are missing altogether I sort of lost interest. sorry 'bout that. well, at least thanks for not putting Prince in the top 10, as some usually do..
Where is URIAH HEEP?????????????
The press always hâte uriah heep
Great list, although everyone has their opinion about the position of each band and if there is one that is missing, there were hundreds of high-level bands such as Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, The Hollies, but not all can enter 100 🤘
its a classic rock bands list so they cant
The Monkees 😂😂
Unbelievable
LOVE, Zombies, Buffalo, Mountain, Edgar (and his brother), Guess Who, Zeppelin, Beatles, Beck and Stewart, ELP, Zappa, Tramp, BST, GFR, early Doobies, Traffic, Crimson, (YES), Byrds, Youngbloods, (Yardbirds), JOURNEY, KINKS!!!!
LED ZEP, PFloyd e Stones.
great collage mate....!
Irony?
Jack Haveman correct
And anyone who says different knows that this is true, they’re just trying to sound cool
No, they are pop. Zeppelin more
of course in real Beatles are THE ONE
My second pic: Beatles, 3rd Frank Zappa,
only the best played for him! what a musical genius!) 4th: listen to the Cars when Ben Orr sings (another Rock talent ). 5: Cream is always great! 6: Old Stones was so good (Brian Jones era). 7: was Emerson, Lake And Palmer ( these guys had so much talent! Lakes voice was so good!). Many groups were very good but one or two songs doesn’t put you in the top 100.
1. Pink Floyd
2.Zeppelin
3. The Beatles
4. The Doors
А,где SWEET,,NAZARETH,SLADE ?????
I'm disagree with selection and order
Zeppelin are top 2 so I'm not sad that they are number 1. But queen number 11 is bs. Queen should be at least number 2 but should be number 1
Most of the bands on this list are fine - though there are some oddities which are strange and pretty obscure - the problem is the ranking - i know that it is personal preference - but to not have the most influential band in rock history ( by a country mile) at number 1 is contrary to say the least
What band are you thinking of?
Thin Lizzy deserved to be a lot higher up the list.
Would like to have seen UFO, Rainbow, Whitesnake and Triumph.
Otherwise great selection😀
YES at No 1 with Jon Anderson of course
Yardbirds contributed the most to the existence of many of today's Rock Dinosaurs. They created the rock music of the sixties and laid the foundation for many great bands. Many of them learned what the music of that time should be like. Top musicians went through the band and deserved the very top of this list.
Imagine starting the career of Eric Clapton, Jimmy Page, and Jeff Beck and being almost unknown and getting almost no recognition
It's so personal. That song, that experience, when you were innocent to sound. My favourite tracks, Emerson, Lake & Palmer,Pirates...& Creedence Clearwater revival,Dark Moon rising.Best bands,Beatles,Kiss,x
1| The Beatles
2| Led Zeppelin
3| Queen
4| The Rolling Stones
5| Pink Floyd
6| The Doors
7| AC/DC
8| Nirvana
9| Black Sabbath
10| The Who
It's a matter of genre. What are your top ten based on straight up rock and roll ?
Top ten without DEEP PURPLE...?!
I don't think so...a
1- The Beatles
2- Queen
3- Pınk Floyd
A list that does not include Scorpions in the top 10 is not realistic.
1-2-3 the Stones
My top 5:5. Queen4. Led Zeppelin3. Pink Floyd2. The Beatles1. Rush
Rush is literally the greatest
Deep purple The who Grand funk. Guns and Roses. Rainbow. S.R. V. Black Sabbath. Iron Maiden Queen. Jimmy H. Doors. led Zep.
No way
Queen 11????
1. PINK FLOYD
2. The Beatles
3. The Who
4. Led Zeppelin
5. Queen
6. The Rolling Stones
7. Black Sabbath
8. Creedence Clearwater Revival
9. Deep Purple
10. The Doors
Pink Floyd is my favorite band but they are no Beatles. Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band paved the way for prog rock. And "Echoes" was based off of "Across the Universe"
Most of the band's are worthy. The running order is all over the place. Some of these bands wouldn't exist if not for their lower rated predecessors.
Hey- guess what? No Beatles, no Zeppelin! To quote Mick Jagger “ The Beatles kicked down the door, the rest of us just followed them through” (and I love LZ)
No Elvis and no blues = no Zeppelin.
Why are the scorpions ranked so low!
Deep Purple

...and let top's begin
Decent list, happy to see Rush in there.
Essa lista está toda confusa. Muitas bandas de primeira ordem lá atrás e muita porcaria entre as primeiríssimas. Acho que um furacão misturou as papeletas. Tudo errado!
he he he com certeza mano,só louco pra entender!
