I used to love those markets when we visited France . I remember a cheese called Morbier , one of my favourites , but unavailable here in Australia . Thanks Jo , you bought back some happy memories .
So happy to have brought back some happy memories for you David. I LOVE those markets too. Funny story: when I was a little girl my parents gave me some pocket money to spend at a French market in Boulogne and I only went and bought a fluffy live chick! I remember my mum rushing me and the chick back to the stall when she realized what I'd done! They took the chick back...if I'd have had a fridge in my bedroom in Amiens I'd have bought TONS of that cheese to bring back home with me. Will check out Morbier...
Cool as in cold or cool as in funky?! It was actually a bit of both! Autumn arrived with a fanfare and way too early for my liking in both the UK and Europe....stay well and speak soon. Happy Traveling to you too!!! XXX
have an amazing time - I think Amiens is a fabulous, undiscovered gem and near the station is a really good location. Plus April is a good time of year to go I reckon - enjoy!
I use to live in amiens , no jobs , i struggled a lot , thats why i moved to london and came back once since 2006 didn't put my feet again , actually is beautiful town but the problem is the weather and lack of jobs im talking more than 20 years ago .
I'm so sorry - I hope you're having a better time in London. Amiens is quite small, so I understand it might be tough to find employment there, however beautiful it is!!
