  • Quick review of the ISTA Breeze tilt tower system for wind turbines (i-700, I-1000, I-1500, I-2000 and ISTA Safe).
What I like and what I don't like.
dditional components you have to buy..
May you can use this tower to W-LAN or Wifi links as well as for amateur radio (fieldday or emergency operations)

Good video. Thanks. The tower is a lot of physical work to get right, but well worth it. Look forward to your videos on controllers. Have you thought perhaps of using these great little A30 controllers ( or CD60 controllers ) with either mechanical or solid state relays?. Maybe a good option for those on a smaller budget who dont want to spend 100's on an Ista controller ( or maybe even several thousand on expensive Midnite Classics+Midnite Clipper annd the like.

Hi there, which Istabreeze turbine have you got and how much kWh are you producing? What’s your average wind speed in m/s?

      Hi
Actually, I'm using the I-1500 and I-700. My neighbor has the I-1500. I guess, the I-1500 makes more sense than the I-2000 - but keep in mind, your average wind speed should be more than 5,5m/s.
The average wind speed on a detail map is around 6,5 m/s at my location. Some maps (based on measured data) showing even 7 m/s.
On bad days (below the average speed) I have around 1kw/h at the I1500. On good days, more than 7 kW/h.
Please note, it's absolutely essential to have nothing - really nothing - in front of the wind turbine. Even small trees will decrease the results fundamentally.
      Best regards
      Alex

No washer needed on the base plate. The manufacturer would have calculated the size of wire required and sent the correct size 🤷‍♂️

My tower came with very thin wires. I dont know how many kg they can support. So I changed it for a wire that was 2-3 times thicker. In strong wind I would never trust the enclosed wires.

Eine Frage: Wieviel kWh konntest Du an Deinem Standort (Flensburg?) 2022 generieren? :D (mit Speicher?)

Hallo.

Great video, what stakes did you use for the supporting tie cables? did you pour concrete with hooks OR drive steel bar into the ground?

Hi. I use 1 meter long steel bar to support the tie cables. I use concrete with hooks and in addition some steel bar. Please watch this video : th-cam.com/video/G6lFDeaAhXM/w-d-xo.html
