Incredible work! Just started practicing training 2 weeks ago and I'm hooked. But I definitely want to perfect this. Nice job. You definitely just earned a subscriber
I train by your explainations , its amazing . Thanks for show. One thing please for explain make it a lit bit slower for beginner. I do lern your drills by reduce speed here in YT.
Paul, many thanks for another one of your excellent and informative videos. Paul, I really enjoy practicing Kali and how you are able to logically integrate the didactical teachings of Kali as you parallel those teachings with the clinical aspect thru " Drills / Hand to Hand Combat / Weapons Training " in a real time scenario of workouts that you instill in me. Paul, please keep them coming along.
Not only do you seem pretty good, I enjoy your attitude. There is a very real mind-body connection in martial arts. I think that shows in your training.
Good morning from the uk, great video, serves as a reminder for me. I usually pick things up quite well but these reverse things or the upward strikes always throw me off so I don't spend much time on them,..but it looks good bro and I wanna do that too lol cheers, 😊
I hope to see you at ITC 2018 (Instructor Training Camp) June 27-July 1 at the majestic Black Hills of South Dakota. Get more info here: www.kalicenter.com/itc2018.html
Just started retraining with Kali. I train with a buddy of mine and we realized after watching your videos we were twirling the sticks all wrong. We were using an open handed twirl and using your method I can tell the difference in control and power. Just ordered a set of the burned rattan sticks and man they shipped fast cannot wait to get them and start practicing more.
Hi, Thanks for promoting FMA in your channel, as FMA Instructor, i am glad to see showcasing our art by foriegner like you, so i would like to give some pointers of names that you done. Double Sticks drills: 1.Sinawali: A. single B. Double (redonda x) C. Reverse 2. Heaven 6 3. Heaven and Earth
I love your work man. It's great. I love working with my hands and I'm so happy I found your channel. Your art and work is great. I'm just wondering if you have a video where you explain the 1, 2, 3, 4, and all the broken ones?
Hey man, I just noticed your vids and I think they make great drills. Just a quick correction, I believe that the first 2 drills aren't sinawali but they're called redonda/ridonda. Thanks.
That's strange because the GM i train under says other wise. I figured if a guy that spent so many years training under GM's in the Philippines and became one in a couple systems of escrima would know what he was talking about. Maybe i just miss understood? I am still a beginner, so who knows hay. Just repeating what i was told.
=Did you know= that sinawali is a kapampangan(one of the ethnic tribe in the philippines) word for "weaved" the word can also mean (depends on use) sinasali is also the kapampangan name for their escrima technique which specialize in dualwielding shortswords.
Thank you for the tutorials! I asked a prior questioning realizing, albeit late, that you answered it in THIS vid tutorial. I do not have fancy metal sticks but one handcrafted from white oak and another in spruce, the latter is common in my area. SUBSCRIBED! I hope to follow along without breaking anything (including myself) in the process.

Hey man, I just noticed your vids and I think they make great drills. Just a quick correction, I believe that the first 2 drills aren't sinawali but they're called redonda/ridonda. Thanks.
Ervin Punzalan redonda x is also sinawali, it’s called doble sinawali or double sinawali.
Sweet I acquired my stick from the same store you did 👌🏼

Thank you for watching! 👍🏻
I love this. please do a tutorial on chako :D
can you make a video on how to apply sinawali in sparring?
All of the will be in KC University as we get those level
+Kali Center cool! looking forward to you uploading.
My teacher (who is a GM in it) tells me it is a warm up drill/exercise, not a combat one.
Ian Sinclair it’s not just a drill, it’s also a combat strikes, specially redonda x. It incorporates blocking and striking techniques.

I really enjoyed practicing these sinawalis. How do you spell the nane of the sinawali?
Winston Khan you are correct in your spelling, “SINAWALI” means weaving.

The remaining four are hard I got confused while trying it
Keep at it and you’ll get them all! 👍🏻
