    You are a good teacher, well versed and understandable. But mostly, your enthusiasm makes these drills, and this art look fun. I will start practising directly, Thank you!

    This is much better video then a previous one done on the same topic, took me awhile to get this down because previous material was done quicker and at an angle facing me which made it difficult for me to grasp but that maybe because of the ADD I have. This was done alittle slower and with me seeing the back alittle so I could grasp what was happening. My brain had to process it. I highly recommend this video strongly and the solo dvd which I bought mainly to get this drill down. So much good information on these down loads.

    This strike pattern is not the same as the Somali X pattern that I was taught by my sensei but I understand there are several different strike patterns to use to gain an advantage in a real fight. I've been practicing this one on my punching bag in my garage. Thanks for sharing.

    This is a comment from Germany with a question. Why dont you haters leave Paul alone and let him do what he wants. What i really hate is insulting and unqualified comments. If you font like him, just leave the Chatroom. That easy it is. I in my opinion think is that he helps a lot people with his eay of teaching.

    • @ttchme9816
      @ttchme9816 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      What you say is true, except the part where he teach things his way, his way is wrong, which may cause injuries or even death.
      So let me put this into another perspective, your math teacher sees that your math is wrong and tries to correct you into the right way, you then say the teacher is wrong is what you are saying right?

" drill " thats not the way you' re fighting, ppl like you should before there writing do their maths, paul is never ever behind in time, has a top background, trained with (my opinion) one if not the best PTK Tuhons, and now he does his own thing, you should give such ppl pay more respect.

      Cover your head with your arms and go for a side kick. Research before you talk.

      I, too, had (first) mental conviction that I would never do it, even in slow motion. Then, I did slow motion. Then, after 24 hours, I did the slow motion version. Then, after 24 more hours, I did the slow motion version, again.
      THEN...after another two days, something just...took over and I was doing it. I'm not sure what that something was, but I now do this single weave at full speed and doing it is a very pleasant experience. Know it or not, yet, but you will be able to do it. Plan and practise for slow motion a few times and then stop for that day. Next day, again. Next day, again. If you force it, your negative inner tendency will keep on taking over.
      TWO IDEAS: (1) Try it with ballpoint pens (anywhere), and even just (2) with empty hands, with the sticks being imagined. Your unconscious knows NO DIFFERENCE between imagined and real life practise!
      Also, when you get it, you'll be absolutely delighted, just as I was and just as, I imagine, do tens of thousands of others, all over the world. Trust me in this! Trust Paul far more in all of it!

      I'm a Muay Thai and Judo guy myself. I've never done Kali until I moved to the Philippines 3 years ago. Funny thing is that even though I'm here the two Kali schools in my area see my foreign face and want to charge me a heck of a lot more than a Filipino. So basically I said screw this and just watch these videos instead. Just take your time, and watch them as many times as you need to until you get it. Now, when I train Kali outside in my subdivision many of my Filipino neighbors say I'm pretty good so Paul's videos must be showing me something right.

      This is a drill, so it's to learn some moves and to coordinate with sticks, in real life it's improbable you are going to do this movement freely, you have to adapt basing on how the other fighter parry your hits.

    • @ttchme9816

      I can answer you, this is fake. First off to be able to do this you need sticks very short in order to not hit your other sticks. In 1:17 you can see he hit both his sticks.
      Second, its super vulnerable to longer reach sticks.
      Third, with sticks that light you are very likely not going to do much damage other than deep bruises ( which don't immediately take effect in a fight ).
